We had a hot water heater go out and like any good homeowner, we obtained three (3) bids for the replacement. Vince and Mike were $700 below the others because they didn't mark up the tanks that are easily purchased at Home Depot or Lowe's while others told us they were getting a ""special"" unit from the ""Plumbing Store"". On top of that, they were prompt in the service, showed up when they said they would, and performed high-quality work.

Minella Plumbing has been amazing to work with. They answer your calls and questions immediately and stick to their word. They come at the time they say they will and do the job correctly. They have fixed things in my home before and fixed what other plumbing company's have done that was wrong. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.
This past weekend they were amazing and saved us THOUSANDS of dollars. They came out as a second opinion on an issue we were having and found that the plumber before them was incorrect. I'm SO glad that we called them to double check and give us a second opinion. Vince and his brother are honest, knowledgeable, reputable plumbers who go out of their way to fix things and do the job correctly. I wouldn't use anyone else in the future!!
If you have ANY plumbing needs, they are the guys to call!!!

My gas was shut off for a leak in my access line on Feb. 23, 2018. I called Minella Plumbing, and they responded quickly to look over the problem. We discussed options, and because of the location of the dig site for access to the line connection, decided it would be a safety issue for the plumbers to dig at that time. Because of these issues, they did not give me an estimate, but told me they would be back to help ""When the weather broke."" Being a person of my word, and them being a business, I agreed, thinking they would keep theirs.

Long story shortened, the weather began to break and I began to call. Five times, with a query on their contact site besides. No one had the decency to call me back, even knowing I had had no furnace through the last of the winter. I am sure they decided not to do the job within a short period after talking to me--- it would have cost them nothing to call and tell me they couldn't handle the job, or drop a note in my mailbox, or send me an e-mail. NADA !

They wasted at least two months of my time when I could have found someone else to do the job, get permits in line, etc. As it was, after a series of disappointments, I found a professional to do the job for me, and was reconnected over 5 months later.

The Minellas may be ok for minor leaks, but because of their execrable customer 'service', I would not recommend them to plumb a doghouse.

My gas company shut off my gas on a Friday because of a gas leak in my service line. Minella Plumbing were the only plumbers who returned my call. We live in Pa., the ground is rocky, I live on a hill, we have lots of shrubs & the gas line was inches from my stone wall. They dug 3 huge holes by hand, tunneled under my wall to preserve it, moved my meter out of my basement & fixed the gas leak in one day - (after the permits were obtained & the weather broke). I am thankful for all their hard work.

Is it possible to leave 0 stars? We've been happy with Minella plumbing in the past and even referred them to friends. However, after requesting that they come and double-check a clogged drain that they ""fixed"", we never heard back. Several phone messages went unanswered. After having a reputable plumber come and re-fix the problem, we learned that they used really shoddy materials, which is why the drain needed a second look. And the reputable plumber (South Hills Plumbing) charged about $50 less. Just call a real company and skip these guys.
