Our water heater quit so we called the Home Warranty company. Replacement was covered but not the $750 out of pocket cost to add the code-required shut off valve that had not been installed by the previous property owner (really? $750 to add a valve?). The contractor supplied by the warranty company had terrible reviews and was not very responsive. We'd been out of hot water for a week and decided to call around and find alternative plumbers. Cody answered my call, took time to chat about our situation and offer us options. Because we are out of his regular service area he suggested a local plumber might cost us less, but said he'd be willing to give us a quote and hold a spot for us on the schedule for first thing Monday (this was on Thursday evening) No other plumber would commit to a specific time and the Home Warranty contractor had no idea when they would be able to come out. We realized we felt a lot better about having Cody do this work than the sketchy Home Warranty firm or other plumbers who didn't even bother to call us back. Cody gave us a quote to install a water heater that we would supply from our local big box store, suggested additional items like earthquake strapping and a pan, and let us know his price would include everything to bring the install up to code including that shut off valve. He made sure we knew which unit to select. Cody returned calls promptly, got back to us when he said he would, and gave us prompt and straight answers. He showed up on time, installed the new water heater and did a beautiful job. Final cost? No more than the local big box store installation would have cost and possibly less than that because his price included the valve installation. We will put in a cash claim to the Home Warranty company and take what they give us, then drop them for next year. To buy our own water heater, strap and pan, and then have Cody install it actually cost less then having the Home Warranty do it, when you add in the annual premium we paid plus the $85 service call we had to pay them. But even if it were a little more, it is worth it to have a decent, honest, capable and ethical plumber when you need one. We enthusiastically recommend Millican Plumbing.

We hired Millican Plumbing for a shower repair. Cody came out and took a look at the job. His bid was much less than the 2 other plumbers. Of the three companies that came out Cody was the only one who arrived on time. He took his time and explained a couple different options for us. Once we made our decision, Cody got the needed parts and replaced them, and even sealed a shower flange the home builder missed with no extra charge. Cody is honest and his work is top notch! If you're in Yuma and need some plumbing help there is no one else to call!
