I have used Miller Plumbing and Heating two times now. The first experience they completely forget about my appointment. I took work off to be available for the appointment, and had to leave early the next day for them to come. The gentleman that ended up coming was courteous, he explained everything well, quickly fixed my leaky water heater, and gave me the cost right away with no surprises (even though I thought it was a bit high at this point). I chose to use Miller again because of the experience with this plumber. My next appointment I chose to have an 8:15 appointment because that was the only time guaranteed. A different plumber arrived this time, but not until 45 minutes after the time that he was supposed to be here. He mumbled under his breath and failed to explain to me anything. I called to have two leaky showers fixed. He left without putting the Trim kit back on one of my showers, and failed to tell me what trim kit I may need. Needless to say I still haven't used that shower. He did not give me an estimated bill as the first plumber had, and when I got the bill I was insulted. The plumber was at my house for less than an hour and they charged me for nearly two hours of work. They told me they were late because of traffic, and if they do charge for travel ""time"" like everyone post I think that is ridiculous. Travel distance, maybe, but you could falsify that you were in traffic just to charge me more money. I am not an idiot, but I am a single female trying to pay for my own place along with school loans etc. So not only did they leave me with a shower I can't used, but I was late for work, and I received a bill that I was not expecting. The ONLY reason I am giving them two stars is for the work the first plumber I encountered provided. I left a message and have called back with still no resolution. Needless to say I won't be using them again.

Courteous and dependable. They changed my kitchen sink faucet. They do charge for travel time but got here quickly. They know how to deal with the quirks associated with my condo so I decided to go with them. No issues resulted even with the old plumbing shutoff valves and he completed the work quickly and didn't overcharge me.

Last November Miller Heating and AC installed a new gas boiler and hot water heater. Their service was competent and speedy. All was accomplished in 2 days. The boiler is quiet and efficient. I just learned that my gas bill has decreased by $41/month to $73 dollars year round. Highly recommend Miller's prompt service and their furnace installation. If you are a customer you always get first priority when calling. Real old time service!

I needed a drain unclogged. They came at the scheduled time and performed the repairs quickly and for the quoted price. Technician was courteous and professional. I wanted to keep my business with a local company from my town and I'm happy I chose Miller Pluming.

Miller Plumbing installed my hot water heater 11 years ago. I had a problem and called the emergency number and spoke with Roy. He walked me through trouble-shooting and I fixed it myself! Roy is an asset to the company, a very knowledgeable employee. I gave the company 3 stars, but Roy gets 5 stars!

I used Miller for a boiler replacement and it was an awful experience from start to finish. I chose Miller because I was told they are worth the extra cost. That advice was incorrect. They were extremely messy and the job took 2 weeks. I was told it would be 3 days. I had to fight with them along the way. In the end, they were not able to compete the job as spelled out in our contract. Steve Miller then called me 5 days after they were done with the job and accused me of being a deadbeat because he had not received payment. Keep in mind that I had not received a final bill at that point. I would not recommend them.

They always do a great job and show up on time. The technicians are helpful and hardworking and in my experience have been no nonsense-- They give options and explain the pros and cons of each.

That said, Miller is outrageously expensive. We received a number of quotes to replace the toilet in our downstairs half bath and these folks were at minimum 50% more than the next highest quote--one other estimate was almost $400 less! I couldn't believe we were all talking about the same project using what I believe to be comparable equipment.

In the end, we did not use them for the toilet replacement, but decided to go with them for a few smaller repairs we needed. While we are happy with the work, it is hard to justify the VERY large price tag for a relatively a small job.

Definitely use Miller Plumbing if money isn't an issue, but if it is, go elsewhere.
