In the 1940s, Theodore ""Ted"" Huether and his family established the Gray Squirrel Cabins. Ted instilled in his children the cherished small-town values that are hard to find now. Values like honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. Fast forward to the 1960s, and Ted's Plumbing became the largest plumbing service in Big Bear, employing over 20 plumbers. David Huether, Ted's son, was one of those plumbers. David worked as a laborer and pipe fitter in his early teens, eventually becoming a backhoe operator during his mid to late teens. As Ted prepared for retirement, David acquired the business and continued the legacy his father established. For more than four decades, the Huether family and Mile High Equipment have been vital to the Big Bear Valley community. They have faced hardships and relished the triumphs. Guided by the principles his father taught him, David has developed his business into a multifaceted operation.

Office personnel so rude. Got hung up on and called back, she said there is no one here by that name so I hung up. The name was the person acting on behalf of our account and SHELLY didn't even bother to listen or explain and admitted she hung up didnt even act like the call was dropped or anything. There are plenty of other places that are speak to people like people not some jerk. pass.

I've been coming to this place for years. It's the only place I rent from. They are fast, efficient, and very helpful.
Thanks for all your rentals over the years!!!!

Horrible customer service!! They seem to work on their own time and not care about actual schedules. Very disorganized.

Completely useless. It took them several days to plow my busy
Airbnb. I had to install cameras to make sure they actually showed up when they said they would and even that didn't help. If you want to be frustrated, desperate, and completely helpless use Mile High.

My experience with Mile High has been less than optimal and a lot to be desired. I own a house in moonridge that I rent out and their service has been very inconsistent, communication has been lacking and sometimes downright rude and the actual plowing itself is very hurried and not considerate. I had a different service before this year who were fantastic but they no longer service the area. I have a camera on the property so I can monitor when services are done (or if they are done) and have caught them many times saying they did something and haven't or extremely long lead times to get my contracted service done when it dumps. The whole point of being under contract is not to maybe at some point be gotten to but to have a premier service that makes you feel you don't have to worry about your home or your guests getting in or out of the house. Mile High has failed miserably at this. I will not be using them again after this year and would suggest you look elsewhere.

We came across this company a couple weeks ago, we were staying at an Airbnb for the week next to Bear Mountain.
There was a huge amount of snow, that buried our cars in the Steep driveway of the residence where we were staying.
The shoveling was brutal for this flatlander.
The bulldozer that was plowing Dogwood Drive stopped and talked to me.
The driver's name was Mark, and he was super nice and offered their services when I asked if there was anyone who could help dig us out.
He recommended I called the office, which I did, and he was back within two hours and had us dug out in about a half an hour.
He was a super nice guy, and it was a pleasure to do business with him and his company.
I see some negative reviews, but that was not our experience at all.
Mark and mile-high were Lifesavers, and I will not hesitate to call them again should we ever get a butt ton of snow the next time we're in Big Bear.

Everything I mentioned in my review last time is still happening. I just shoveled a three-foot high berm in my driveway! Seriously, this company only cares about getting money and doing a terrible job! Hire literally anyone else. The kid who offers to shovel your driveway could do a better job than these idiots in a PLOW TRUCK! Worst in Big Bear! Worst in any state would be my vote as well!

This company is always on point! I call from LA to move the snow from our home up in big bear and they are there on point all the time!

Terrible customer service.
Spent thousands of dollars on a portable water tank. I had a issue with the engine and called to ask only a warranty question. The lady who answered the phone said that she would pass the information onto the person that was responsible of handling warranty calls. I called back several times during the week with only a response of the PERSON in charge has not called or checked in...Really for a week...And all I wanted is to see if it was under warranty...
Good luck if you decide to purchase anything from these folks.

I went to Mile High for ski and snowboard rentals. The staff was very friendly and the process was quick and easy. I was very pleased with their equipment too. I would 100% recommend them.
