You can say a lot of things about skilled professionals on Yelp, about the quality of their work, and how they show up on time, and all of that; but having had to search for electricians and framers and plumbers and all manner of skilled trades on the internet, there was one major thing I was most concerned about and I'm figuring you are too...is this outfit HONEST?

Mike and Sam showed up on time, had all the correct tools and materials, including vacuums to clean up after themselves, did excellent work that is precisely to code as near as I could tell, the price was extremely fair, but two things stood out to me that you should know about:

I walked Mike through the project and explained everything I needed to him, and asked for an estimate. When he told me his flat rate price, I considered it for a few moments in relation to the budget for my project, when he said ""The estimate is free, so no pressure at all if you want to take some time to get other quotes or opinions."" I liked that because it meant he was confident his price was fair and wasn't trying to corner me into hiring him because he had spent a half hour of his time with me going over what I needed done. I hired him on the spot and he got started right away.

The second thing that happened was when the scope of the project changed. After some inspection, one electrical fix we had planned turned out to be about 3 hours EASIER than he originally thought. What did he do with his flat rate price? I would have left it the same if it was me, it is flat rate after all. He actually knocked a considerable portion off the estimate and lowered the price because the project was easier than he originally thought!

And that's what really mattered - a skilled professional who is HONEST and does what is FAIR.

His work is really clean, his price is great, and his approach is honest. If you need a handyman, you can stop looking, just give Mike a call.

Mike and his partner did an excellent job installing some grab bars in the bathrooms. He was clean and polite, and meticulous - had me check to ensure the bars were the right height before securing them permanently.

Also, I was looking to have him do some tile repairs, but he suggested that I use some filler instead, which saved me a lot of money.

Overall, I would recommend Mike, and plan to use him for handyman work again.

I found Mike on Yelp and he came over to my house the next day. I had a disaster going on with a remodel and another handyman that I had hired. Mike came over and really helped me out. He looked over everything that I needed and also made some suggestions of things that needed to be fixed that I was unaware of.

Mike called over some friends that came right over to fix a big problem that I had. His guys were very professional and did a great job. He also gave me the number of a new painter that came over the same day to give me a quote. I ended up hiring him and he also did a great job for me.

Mike installed a new mantle that we bought to go over our fireplace. He also hung our TV above it. He did a great job. We added handles to all of our cabinets in the house and Mike put all of those on and also did a great job. We also bought a huge butcher block that we thought we could cut and put on the island. Mike suggested that we take it back and buy one from IKEA that was already cut. We did and this saved us around $400. We actually like the IKEA one better.

We are very happy with all of his work and Mike really made our nightmare remodel so much better. He could have easily came in and did his job and left but he made sure that we got the help from everyone that we needed.

I will always use Mike as our handyman in the future. He is very reliable and shows up on time. Give him a call, you won't regret it.

I tend to rely on Yelp for everything, and that's how I found Mike. Unfortunately, Yelp led me astray on this one, and I feel obligated to let others know of my experience. Met Mike up for an estimate a few wks ago for work I needed done based upon an inspection report. He gave me a rough price but would not commit to a final price for all the work; however, he did say that he could come back to change the front door lock for $50 and the thermostat for an additional $50. We agreed to meet the next day at 10am, but did not show up until 11:30am, and only ended up changing my door lock. Though he also helped adjust the door sweep (moving it down a tad, but not fixing the problem), he ended up charging me $100. He removed the old thermostat, but upon taking a look at the wires said that it would take him too long to change it then (would need to call a friend or look at youtube videos to change it). Because he was late and took so long to change the door lock (about an hour), I almost missed my flight. Also, not only did he not change the thermostat, but he opened up the new one incorrectly so that when I got an electrician to change it correctly, he would not do it until I exchanged the new thermostat with a new one. Since I paid for the door lock and thermostat I texted Mike to see if he would come by to change the thermostat another time but as expected I did not receive a text back. Every time I asked for pricing he would not provide a solid answer, and by the end of my experience I kind of figured why that was. Bottom line, Mike seemed like a nice guy that could handle simple handyman work, but I would avoid hiring him for anything more complicated. Also, I found out later that he provided me misinformation about the resetting of my toilet. Two stars for reasonable prices, but I obviously would not hire him again.

Super awesome service from Mike. Fast phone/text response, reasonable prices, and quick turnaround time. He came to my house to install curtains;he put up three sets in about 30 minutes.

Mike is very friendly and I will definitely be using him again for other projects around the house.
