I came across John of Mike's Plumbing while around town on an errand. They were just about to start a job at another location. I had a plumbing issue at my house, and was sourcing plumbers. John came over, looked at the pictures and videos I'd taken, and quickly, clearly and concisely diagnosed the problem - while providing a quote and a timeline on the spot. The quote was highly competitive, the timeline was as good as I could ask for. We ended up being able to resolve this issue ourselves, but John's conduct embodies what I value in a service professional - plumbing or otherwise - and speaks to his integrity and his dedication to service. I'll be recommending him for other work in the area, and he'll be my first call for any future work.

I have used Mike's Plumbing twice, both times it was because the initial installation of the water sprinkler wasn't done correctly. Mike's Plumbing came out the same day I called and went right to work in the busted meter pipe. They did everything to properly make the repairs and save me money. I called Mike's plumbing on a Saturday morning with an emergency water leak coming from a ceiling in my multi-level home in Manhattan Beach. They came out that afternoon and did a great job at methodically troubleshooting (and I am an engineer) the source to a leaking copper water supply pipe in an upper bathroom. They repaired the source of the leak, and cleaned up my lower bathroom, and were done very quickly. A very professional and effective house call. The charge for the work was very reasonable, and it is great to know that this level of expertise exists. I will use them for any of my future plumbing needs.

I kept calling for a new shower head installation and they kept pushing me to the side. The woman at the front desk kept saying mike will call you in ten minutes. Hours have gone by and i call back for her to tell the same thing except this time she tells me if you need to call a different plumber go ahead. What kind of business makes it like that. Very unprofessional.

Note that i already had an appointment scheduled for a 9:30- 10:30 window it is now 11:38 am still no sign or call.

He (mike) is a great guy, always happy and whistling. I'm overall satisfied, however, one worker was messy and didn't really solve my issue without Mikes intervention.

Ask them to show you their insurance before you start the job. They improperly installed a pipe, turned a pinhole leak into a deluge overnight. Too bad we were such good customers we paid them right away when the job was finished. If I had delayed one day, maybe we could have deducted damages. Instead, they refused to take responsibility for the hardwood floor damage ($450) which was minimal but it's the principle. A reputable company would provide insurance information so the adjuster could come and verify damage. Who knows, the adjuster could turn down the claim. But to not even provide insurance information is unprofessional not to mention unethical. Some mom and pop operations are quaint. This one is untrustworthy.
