Zero stars if possible.
TL,DR: Mike's refuses to honor warranty on products they sell and install.
We purchased our water heater brand new from Mike's in OCT 2020 and it immediately had issues providing consistent hot water. We had hot for a few minutes at a time, then cold for a few minutes and so on. Mike's sent multiple plumbers over the course of weeks, removing and replacing parts; putting water on the floor each time. We requested they warranty our purchase and install a new unit, but Mike's assured us that they would solve it or replace it. Finally, one of the workers replaced the dip tube; then the water heater worked correctly. The warranty expires in OCT 2026.
Sunday evening, it failed again and dumped several gallons of water onto the floor of our house. Monday morning, Mike's scheduled a plumber to come between 11am and 1pm. No call, No show.
At 4:43, we called asking if someone was still coming, and the dispatcher ""Wendy"" threatened to remove us from the schedule, then hung up on my husband.
The following morning, I went into Mike's to speak with someone in person. The plumbing manager was not on-site yet, so the general manager Leo spoke with me. He informed me that Mike's would not warranty the water heater they sold us unless we hired them to do the install work. I explained that was difficult to do when his staff had no call, no showed and also hung up on us. He again stated that Mike's would not help us warranty the product they had sold.

I give them 2 star rating. 1 for showing up, and 1 for being polite.

I had a mid-fall service done on my furnace by Mike's Mechanical - the guy did spend some time going over it, and he said it was in good shape. It started malfunctioning in the early part of the winter during that super cold stretch. On off - on off... I sure didn't want it to die during the night.

I panicked and called a different company out to ck the heater over. Whoever Mike's Mechanical sent out forgot to clean some basic little temperature probe. The new service guy hooked up a meter, up came a code and it ID'd the problem instantly. The new guy cleaned the probe and the furnace has been functioning fine ever since.

Nothing but problems with our new house that they did the plumbing on. Very dishonest company and policies. Go with, literally, anybody else before using them.

Sadly our confidence in Mike's Mechanical's plumbing department is gone. We gave them a second chance after having a pipe they installed fail and flood one of our bedrooms ruining the carpet. They did step up and replaced it.
On our current home project Mike's over charged us on a verbal estimate after being told by the employee from Mike's ""You don't need a written estimate"". Well, apparently we did need it in writing.
We waited around all morning for a scheduled Mike's plumber to show up and finally when we called them they couldn't make the scheduled time. No courtesy call or nothing. But hey, we already paid them so why should they care!
Also their plumber drilled through a 2X4 in our bathroom while installing pipe and punched the hole into our bedroom.
In conclusion, not only will we not be using Mike's Mechanical for plumbing anymore but highly suggest anyone looking for a competent and honest plumbing company avoid Mike's at all costs.

I've had Mike's guys out for three problems. One cleaned and changed out all my HVAC filters and found a very dangerous situation in the upstairs furnace. He was friendly and thorough and professional. The second guy I had out was Cory and he was there to diagnose an electrical problem I was having outside near my pond. He didn't just change the GFCI like the electrician I called before at another company did twice already. He actually investigated everything to look for the reason why the GFCI was tripping all the time. He found what he thought was the problem and when the pump in my pond was changed the problem with the GFCI was gone just as he predicted it would. The last guy came out (Kendall) to fix my garbage disposal that stopped working. He saw the problem right away and fixed it so quickly. I trusted him enough to leave the house on an errand while he was working on the disposal. I can't recommend these people and Mike's enough. I've had nothing but professional, on-time, helpful, courteous behavior from everyone I speak with including the dispatch person Wendy.

The technician, Justin G., arrived on time and wearing a mask for our appointment to service our furnace. When he completed his work, he explained what he had done. He was very polite and answered our questions thoroughly. Before he left he gave us his cell number in case we had any problems. We have used Mike's for years and will continue to do so.

This review is written during Covid-19 and showcases how unprofessional Mike Mechanical is. First they did not wear masks in doors. Politicized or not, it is highly inappropriate to not take the basic safety precautions during a pandemic. They were asked to wear a mask, they did and since took it off. They were doing their work, and then loudly turned on a political podcast blasting the SCOTUS' decision on Oklahoma reservation land as unconstitutional. Now let's put aside any opinion on that ruling. Putting a political podcast on while working in someone else's home given the divisive nature of politics, and a podcast deepening that divisiveness is just a bad move.

Three words to describe Mike Mechanical:
Unprofessional, political, and disrespectful.

They don't even deserve 1 star. They came out looked at my furnace. The technician Mark was here about 5 minutes and told me someone else had to come replace a part, then he would be right back out. The next technician came the next day and did his part in about 10 minutes. Now it's been 2 weeks and Mark finally showed up. He asked me if the heater was working. When I said no one had been back yet, he told me he would leave if I didn't change my attitude. Very rude, poor service. I guess if you don't want customers to have a bad attitude then don't leave in the middle of the job and only come back two weeks later after they call and remind you to come back. I will NEVER recommend them for anything. What a joke. If you're considering using these guys. Don't! Just call Guardian or Lewis Clark heating. They know how to treat customers

I requested a chimney cleaning. Two service techs came out and did an inspection and said it was fine and recommended an annual cleaning.
The chimneys have never been cleaned and that's why I requested a cleaning!
I would recommend calling someone else.
