While having our siding and gutters replaced, the contractor noticed that the drain lines in the ground were clogged. He recommended calling the big national chain to have them clear the line. I did and was very surprised at the high cost for them to come out. So I looked around and found Berks Rooter Service on Yelp. I called and spoke to Mike and he said he would be here later that day. Mike was very professional as he looked over our problem and determined an easy solution. In about an hour he had the drain open and flowing freely. The cost was more than $1000 less then the big national Rooter chain. I highly recommend calling a local company first before committing to an expensive repair.

My previous property management company's minimum charge for a repair without needing approval from the owner was $250. Bertks rooter service came out and changed the supply line from the toilet to the cold water. The piece cost around $10 at home Depot. Labor included unscrewing and screwing in the new line. Guess what their price was... Always fun to find $250 paid invoices months later because I didn't need to be notified for approval.

These guys are fantastic! I had a completely clogged kitchen sink and found them online. They were here within 3 hours and tried everything they could think of to open the drain. Our house was built in 1978 on a cement slab so we had no idea how the drains were laid out [which didn't make it any easier]. It was finally determined that they would have to return the next morning and try with a jet spray drain opener. I got a call 20 minutes before they were due to let me know they were running behind [which I appreciated]. When they arrived, they got right to work and still couldn't get the drain opened. They decided to try one more thing and finally got my drain completely unclogged. I think it works better now than it has for the past 10 years! They probably spent the better part of 5 hours total on this job and the bill was very reasonable. The owner and both plumbers that I dealt with were very polite and [luckily for me] not willing to admit defeat. I would recommend Berks Rooter Service to anyone needing plumbing services.

We were looking at looking at a blocked sewer line. According to the two major companies that we contacted first, we had to replace our U-trap. They came to this conclusion after a 5-minute assessment. Their estimates would have cost approximately $5000.

Mike from Berks Rooter Service provided excellent, honest service. He listened to our description of our sewer line issue and was sure that it was likely just a blocked drain. He came out and was able to clear the drain and accurately diagnosed root cause. The blockage was out in the main line. The township sewer service came out and found roots clogging the line.

If you are reading this Mike, I just want to say thank you. I would recommend anyone having plumbing issue to give Berks Rooter Service a call. You will not be disappointed.

I'm giving them one star under protest. I would give them negative stars if I could. We had an appointment to have a leak fixed in our shower today. My wife took a half day vacation to have the work done. The crew from Berks Rooter showed up and told my wife that they couldn't find the water main shutoff, and they would have to come back out next week. My wife told them it was in the laundry room next to the dryer, but they still claimed they couldn't find it. They tried telling her that it was underground and they didn't have the proper tool with them to go underground to turn it off. Which is complete BS because the shutoff is right where she told them it was, in the laundry room next to the dryer. I have no training in plumbing and somehow was able to find the shutoff last week when we had the leak. I find it hard to believe that the three licensed plumbers that Berks Rooter sent out to do the job could not find this shutoff. Even after they were told where it was. My wife called me and told me they left and I told her to have them call me and I can tell them exactly where it was. Even though she already did that. Less than five minutes after they left our house they were already on their way to an emergency call to a local bar that had a sewer backup, and refused to come back. I have a feeling that they already had their minds made up when they got to our house that they weren't doing our job today. If it's true that they couldn't find the water shutoff then I'm glad they didn't do the work. Who knows the quality of plumbing work that would have been done if they couldn't accomplish the simplest of jobs as finding the shutoff. It's safe to say we won't be using this company ever again. I'll be sure to tell everyone I know about this debacle.
