This company put in a water line at the house we were buying. Once we purchased the home we had the bathroom remodeled and our contractor told us we had a leak somewhere but not sure where but that it was not in the house. The minor water leak became a larger one. We called Mike Varner company and asked them to inspect their line (less than a year old) to ensure that there was not a leak on the work they did. We DID NOT ask them to find a leak or anything but simply ck their work. We were never told of a service charge or anything we simply thought it was under warranty. They came out and stayed approximately 5mins and told us the water leak was coming from the ONLY pump handle not on the well system that was 10 feet away from where they stopped their line. The problem is we have about 15 pump handles how could they possible know that that one handle was not on the well. Again never mentioned a bill, did not give us and invoice NOTHING. The only thing they did tell us is it would be $250 to fix it. 2 Weeks later I get a bill for $95 for service fee we were never told about. When I called the owner was very rude and told me that if the previous owner would've let them run the line all the way to the house then he could ensure their work and I shouldn't expect people to work for free then ultimately hung up on me. I have always been told by any company that their is a service fee and how much not only when I call in but when they come out as well. I would not use this business as they like to charge large amounts of money with out every telling you.

Mike Varner is the BEST of the best! We had a small outdated upstairs bathroom with an old cast iron tub in a very awkward small space with a slanted (from the dormer roof) ceiling. It was a huge job to break the old tub into pieces. The house is from the 1920s with plaster walls. Mike was SO cautious and used the smaller sledge hammer so as to not disturb the surrounding walls. The small awkward space required lots of special cutting/fitting and problem solving skills, which Mike has in great abundance. I've been around a lot of contractors, plumbers, carpenters, and Mike ranks at the very top. I'm not sure many people could have figured out a way around all the issues of our awkward small bathroom. Mike was brilliant! Our new bathroom looks like it was always there, seamlessly integrated into the space. He has the higest level of integrity and the absolute highest standards, which translates into the best work you could possibly get. And he's a really nice guy who listens and is very attentive to what the client wants and needs. We recommend Mike Varner HIGHLY! HE'S THE BEST!
