In 1987, Mike Scott, a veteran of the Marine Corps, founded Mike Scott Plumbing in his hometown. Starting with little and an insatiable drive, Mike was determined to expand his company on a set of core principles that distinguished him from other plumbers in the area; honesty, integrity, ethics, and excellence in service. Supported by his wife Pat and their three kids, Tracy, Shawn, and Jason, he set a vision for what would become one of the most reputable plumbing companies in the Southeast United States. As the years passed, the business’s standing and Mike’s family grew. Soon enough, Mike, Pat, and all three children were working together to handle the expanding company. They collectively envisioned, providing customers with solutions for all their water-related needs while actively contributing to their local community. Anchored in our core beliefs and with a focus on community involvement, Mike Scott Plumbing continues to evolve.

I have two experiences with this company and their techs are unprofessional and rude. They came recommended by my contractor who was working on my bathroom. The first time they were repairing a valve on our toilet, and while they accomplished that and I was pleased with the work, the technician was rude and sullen. I put it down to a bad day. It wasn't bad enough that I wasn't willing to work with them again. This time however, enough is enough. Our bathroom is being worked on by the same contractor who again recommended this company. He was working in our bathroom when the tech came by to give us a quote on various things to be fixed. We needed a hot and cold fixture to be piped so that it could fit into a new fixture with only one knob for both instead of two, the top of the shower valve extended upward because my husband is tall and he had to bend over while using it, and a toilet installed. Pretty simple, at least to me. I just wanted to know how much it would cost. No work was being done this day. The tech called before coming. I wasn't at home, just my contractor, who spoke with him. The contractor noted the attitude himself. The tech took a look around and said he didn't have time for this and left. When I called to find out what happened, I was told he'd noted that there were a breathing hazard because of pets. I do have pets, but they are corralled in a room away from the construction, and the contractor was working there since early morning without any problems. I told them this. They said they would investigate. They called back and said they wouldn't be doing any other work for us without giving any explanation. I said that is fine, as I would not be having them do anything else with their unprofessional attitude. One of the things the management stated was that things are backed up right now and there are emergencies. I am the first person to acknowledge that there are emergencies and things happen. However, the tech called me to confirm that he was arriving. Nothing was stated that he had somewhere else to go to. That I would understand. Instead he didn't want to do the job and came up with something that would absolve him of responsibility. My contractor is upset and will no longer be recommending this company to his clients, and I'm calling someone else.

What a low life. His guy didn't install my RO unit correctly and it flooded my kitchen. After a month of excuses he is trying to blame us. Our proof is in fact one of his own men who said it was the original installer's fault. As soon as this company found out the extinct of the damage involved, they blamed us. Don't use this company as they are inept, irresponsible and dishonest.

During a routine inspection by FPU they found a propane leak somewhere outside the tank. The only things fed by this is a range and a fireplace. Contacted Mike Scott, they sent a young man out to check it. He had no pressure gauge and no leak detector. I gave him one of my gauges to use, although it was for air not gas. He crawled around under the house and decided it wasn't the fireplace. He closed the valve to the range and decided the leak was in the line going to the range, but didn't have anything to fix it with which of course means a second service call. Charged me $286.00 for this call, but told me the good news is the range is fine. He left, keeping my gauge. His service manager called and said he could come back to fix tomorrow with a """"helper"""" for another $350.00. Im in this far so sure. When he returned his """"helper"""" was clearly his superior as he had the proper gauge, leak detector etc and stayed by the propane tank while the young man crawled around replacing the line. When he got done - uh oh, something else is leaking. The old guy decided it was the flex line to the range. Replaced that and Woops! Something ELSE is leaking now. Eventually they decided it was the range. You know, the one that wasn't leaking the day before. I told them to go away and have their boss call. When she did she was very argumentative I told her I didn't feel like I should pay 2 service calls when the young man was obviously clueless. She told me he had everything he needed when he first came. When I informed her he didn't even have a gauge or leak detector she argued that he did, basically saying I am lying. That little shit STILL has my gauge and I still have no propane 2 week later because I am waiting on a new range. If you want to overpay for incompetence by all means call these clowns. If you want professional service call ANYONE that's NOT Mike Scott

A friend called this company for me. Two guys showed up to find a leak. They dug a hole outside where the main shut off to the house was. Told me I needed a new valve, but did not fix it or offer to fix it. Then went inside the house to see if my toilets were leaking (they were not as they are brand new). They went to the very far side of the house/master bath and told me he could here a leak and it was somewhere in the master bath. Then went back outside, called said friend and decided to do a pressure test. After the test he now says I have a leak in the foundation on the hot water side. Now mind you this is a plumbing company and never offered to fix any of my so called plumbing issues. Just gave me a bill and a number to call a leak specialist. Now leak specialist are 300.00 to start!! Needless to say.....I have NO wall leak or foundation leak. This time I call a plumbing company. They come out and guess what? Found the leak right where Miks Scott's professional plumbers dug!! Mike Scott Plumbing is a waste of money and their office staff is very unprofessional!

Called around 9:30 am on Monday morning. After the recent rain, my toilets were draining slowly, and my tub was making a gurgling noise while draining. By 1:30, their tech, Messiah, was on the job at my house. He quickly and efficiently found my septic tank lids, emptied the tanks, and cleaned the filter. In less than an hour he was done. Reasonable price too. Highly recommend.

What should have been a simple fix turned into a 6 week joke. Not very good at all, I will stick to Meeks Plumbing for all of our needs in future.
