The year was 1987, Mike Scott, a former Marine, founded Mike Scott Plumbing in Citrus County. With modest means and an unmatched determination, Mike set out to grow his company on a set of core principles that distinguished him from other plumbers in the locality; integrity, honesty, ethics, and superior service. Supported by his wife Pat and their three kids, his children Tracy, Shawn, and Jason, he mapped out a plan for what would become one of the most reputable plumbing companies in the Southeast United States. Over the years, the company’s reputation and the Scott family grew. Before long, Mike, Pat, and all three children were working together to handle the expanding company. They collectively envisioned, providing customers with solutions for all their plumbing needs while being involved in their surrounding community. Suzanne M.I will never use again. 2 young men came out after back up in toilets and showers one came in after running a snake around 4 feet in to say nothing was wrong. The flushed my toilet said all good charging 154.00 for doing nothing. Called company back because we still have issues was told it was good when they left something must have clogged 2 days later so would be full charge. Horrible company to do business BEWARE
""""my girls"""" . Sums it up. This place should be looked into. Go elsewhere folks. Need a plumber Mike Scott should not even be a consideration.
Called Mike Scott to replace a toilet and install a faucet in one of my rental properties. I provided the material. The guy comes out (Day #1) and replaces the toilet. He leaves at about 2:30. I go over to check on it and I notice the faucet that I provided is on the floor. He literally, picked it up off the toilet and set it on the floor. I called the next day and they came out again. When I get the bill I am charged $87.00 for each trip, labor for each trip AND for the material that I provided... I called a spoke to a """"manager"""" that was the most arrogant """"person"""" I ever spoke to in a service environment. Horrible experience - never again
Lucky for them I'm unable to share pictures and video of the problem that wasn't only Never fixed, while being charged, but made worst. I've called and even sent texts and have been ignored. My advice, do not use them.
These guys were a joke. Insisted on doing the same thing others did that didn't work when asked well when it don't work you gonna come out and do what I asked and highered you to do they tell me it's not warranty it and it would cost me another charge. So I ask do snake where I asked and they refused. DEFINITELY DO NO RECOMMEND....
Tree roots in pipes, these poor guys worked sooo hard cutting at them they actually bent saw blade & had other tools almost break. Very polite, knowledgeable & they even called out supervisor who showed up quickly. I am actually quite irritated that people keep bringing up the mask bs; seriously?? When dealing with sewage all day, I'm sure these guys know how to stay protected. Oh, and for anyone that makes such an uneducated comment...they need to get informed asap: https://www.bitchute.com/video/2RwlgUWAB0UH/ Thanks again Mike Scott Plumbing !!!!
Mike W.We called for a septic tank service and when the tech arrived he left a door hanger and never knocked or rang the doorbell. When I called I was told that the tech said he knocked, which was a false statement. I then spoke to.Casey, who identified himself as the boss, and he used profanity with me and refused to listen to my complaint. I will NEVER use Mike Scott again. They're liars and unprofessional.
Showed up at 8am when I was told between 9-1. Installed new plumbing lines in guest bathroom and installed two Moen faucets. Unfortunately, technician wasn't familiar with Moen faucets and ask me to switch to Delta that he had on the truck. I wanted Moen and should have stopped him there. I didn't. He got them in, but the Moen Push-Down / Pop-up mechanism doesn't work. You have to reach under the sink to release the water from the basin. And he took the Aerator Tool with him in the trash that Moen says I need to clean the Aerator. I am not satisfied with the service.
Mike Scott plumbing did some work to my hot water heater. They never called to schedule me after I was referred to them by Duke Energy. I have to call them 11 days later. They came out and did some repairs but missed the water leak. When I called back the next they - they were rude and gave me a hard time. I'm a pretty reasonable person with appropriate expectations from people who do work for me. Wasnt good. Try someone else first.
Darryl G.I don't relish writing bad reviews, I much prefer giving a company kudos. I called Mike Scott Plumbing because my toilet was backing up. They sent a guy who was polite enough but spent a long time trying to find the problem and could not find it. After several hours, he gave in and called his supervisor. The supervisor said he could be at my home in 15 minutes. I waited almost an hour for him to arrive. He went over everything the first guy had done. Hell, I had even already pulled the toilet myself, to make it easier for them when they arrived! Then the supervisor Keith broke out the sewer camera, and spent a good deal of time trying to find an issue. They both remarked how clean and clear the plumbing pipes appeared. There were no leaks, no blockages, no roots, no cracks, no buildup. Eventually, they came up with a theory - maybe the pipes under the foundation had shifted and need to be re run. """"That's the only thing I can think of."""" They suggested the repair would best be claimed on my homeowner's insurance, as it would require accessing the pipes through the interior floor, through the foundation. The supervisor promised he would get back to me with 1) a video copy of the camera inspection for my insurance company, and 2) a detailed listing of the work required and a cost estimate. The supervisor said he would have that to me in 2 days. That was 34 days and three phone calls ago. No calls, no estimate. Just promises that someone will get back to me, and a statement from their business answering service person letting me know that Mike Scott Plumbing does not do any type of insurance work - a detail oddly omitted by both techs when they suggested I call my homeowner's insurance company. So, I paid for their service, they could not remedy the problem. I do not have the promised detailed estimate, nor the video of the camera inspection of the pipes, both of which I need for my insurance company. And no one is responding to my calls. Meantime I'm out one bathroom. I asked for the supervisor Keith's number so I could call him directly. Nope. Ditto for the tech they sent. Neither tech wore a mask in my home, or asked if I would prefer they did. Based on my experience with Mike Scott Plumbing, I would not recommend them to a friend.
