Mike's crew installed an outside faucet for me today, and I am more than happy with the result. We had a minor hitch, but after speaking with Tim, we got it worked out and I am thrilled. I won't have to be dragging that heavy hose from one side of the house to the other anymore!! I would not hesitate to recommend them, and will keep their number handy for future use!

We have used Mike Patterson Plumbing for our home and business for over 2 decades. They have always been professional, timely, and provide quality work. So much so, I have referred them to family, friends and even my own customers. This is one of those businesses in the 21st century that still maintains 19th century integrity and work ethics.

I'm not going to call this plumber again. The labor cost is ridiculous. First time, he didn't have the spare parts (I still had to pay for his time and drive). The next time, he came with the wrong part, so he left again to look for the right part at Home Depot and didn't find it. I still had to pay him for both trips (even for his drive to the store). At the end, he was not able to fix my leaking faucet, but still charged me for all his time. He also didn't seem very skilled about the problem. When I researched the missing part on Amazon, he didn't know if that part would work or not. Didn't even know what some of the measurements mean. At the end, I bought the part for $10 and replaced it myself.

He did however fix another leaking faucet by replacing it. However, I feel like I shouldn't have been charged for all his failed attempts (and trip to the store) to fix the first one.

Jack did an excellent job identifying the real issue, as opposed to what we presumed was the issue. Second time we've called on Mike Patterson Plumbing and we are glad we did!

I scheduled an appointment to have two items of plumbing done and was given a time frame of 10-12. At 12:20 I called the office to find out if my appointment was still scheduled because I had not seen the plumber yet. She called him and returned my call to let me know that he had been delayed on his first job and would be a while because he was still in Oregon City. I was told I could go ahead and start running my errands. I asked if he could call when on his way to let me know. He arrived at 2:00. He was efficient in his work and came fully prepared for the job that was to be done. I asked about a possible discount because of the late arrival and was told I would get the Senior discount which ended up being $125 per hour-my error for not asking in advance but I do feel that the Senior discount is what I receive for being an elder, not for a 2 hour delay. I feel my time should be considered too. I do understand some delays are unavoidable, but communication about the delay should be taken care of.

I had called on a Friday for a plumber. There were none available that day, but they offered to put me on stand-by. That didn't work out, but when I called again the next Monday, they got somebody out here by 10:20 the same day. The problem was solved in about 40 minutes at a reasonable cost. Thanks to Scott and to the company for their help and courtesy.

I just purchased my first home and am totally clueless about my plumbing. I thought I needed a whole bunch of repairs. But Jake came and discovered I didn't need as much as I thought. He taught me about my somewhat unusual plumbing and made a few fixes. He was super informed, friendly and, best of all, didn't take advantage of my ignorance. Big thanks to Jake and Mike Patterson Plumbing.

I needed to replace a kitchen faucet and garden hose bib, so I called Mike Patterson Plumbing. The plumber showed up on time, but that is the only good thing I can report about this company. The plumber claimed there was rust in our galvanized pipe and he could replace the faucet and hose bib but once the pressure was off the house it could cause the rust in the supply lines to fall away from the sides of the pipe and clog my new fittings. He suggested that we needed to repipe the supply lines and he'd have the estimator call me, but he figured it would be a $5K-$8K. That was on a Thursday. Monday rolls around, I still haven't heard from the estimator, so I call them back. They assured me the estimator would call. By Friday, I still haven't heard from the estimator, so I call back again. The girl answering the phone sighs and says she'll have him call me. In the meantime, I call 1st Call Plumbing because for a job this big, I want a second opinion. The owner, Doug Shinn comes out and tells me much as he'd love a big job like a repipe, he doesn't think there's rust in the pipe and between the two items I want fixed it will probably be anywhere from $350-$500, tops. That was a Wednesday- today is the following Monday and I have a new kitchen faucet and a new hose bib, and I couldn't be happier because they charged me $325, which is less than the estimate. So before we handled payment over the phone, Doug asks me, are you satisfied with the service you received today? Yes. Did they clean up after themselves? They tried to but I stopped them because my husband was in a meeting in the next room, but that's ok- I'll vacuum it all up. So 1st Call Plumbing diagnosed the problem correctly, was out to fix it within a week, at least tried to clean up what little mess they made, and charged me less than they estimated they would. I would recommend them to anybody.

And I never did hear back from Mike Patterson Plumbing.

Mike Patterson plumbing and his crew are awesome.

Last year I wanted to replace my water main just to be proactive...The guys showed up when they said they would and took care of it. Then, while hooking up the service inside my garage, Mike suggested running hot and cold to the front of my garage outside...I laughed. A year later this has been one of the greatest upgrades I have made. Neighbors walk by in awe while I wash my cars in January with steam coming out of my bucket. Great for all purpose cleaning tasks,

Now I remodeling my kitchen and called Patterson Plumbing back to help with this. They performed the rough in including new lines for an outside faucet and ice maker. Next up is sink, dishwasher, and gas range hook ups.

Great folks!

This is a mixed review.

I have used this company several times. I have always been pleased with the people they have sent and the quality of work they have done. I give this part of the business 5 stars.

However, the last time I used them, I was shocked at the amount of the bill. It was considerably higher than I expected. It turns out that I was required to pay $50 in travel time for the plumber to drive from his previous job to my house. No one had told me beforehand that I would be charged this fee, on top of a $25 ""truck fee"", just to get someone to my door.

When I called Mike about this the next day, his attitude was quite cavalier. He told me that if I was happy with the job that had been done, I should be happy to pay for it. He said that he needed to pay his plumbers for the time they were driving. He didn't seem to understand that $50 is not a small amount of money, and that I might have hired someone else if they had been honest with me about this fee before I hired them.

I give this part of the business 1 star.
