Pam R.Unbelievable! I had an appointment to get my water heater replaced today. They gave my husband a price of $1,200 to $1,400 for a 40 gallon size tank replacement. I called them and asked how much the actual water heater is and to break down the price. They told me $595 for the water heater and the other money is for other parts and the two guys to do the work. I told them that its drained and ready to get replaced and asked if there is a price break (maybe at $115/hour they could cut an hour off the labor since we did the labor). At the end of the conversation, Mike cancelled my appointment and will not be coming to fix my problem. I have used this company for the past 15 years and have had my water heater replaced twice by them. I cannot believe, even after pleading with the guy, that he cancelled on me. Apparently they don't like to be questioned about their price. Makes them seem shady to me. I no longer trust this company and would not let them in my house to do any repairs again. I will also let my family know so they can use a different plumber as well.
Thank God they told me they will not come out to replace my water heater. I have three other quotes from local plumbers - each quote is at $900!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are ripping people off at this company! I am glad I was forced to shop around. I will post how the new plumber is once they are done and list their name so y'all have a better option than this crappy company.
It pays to shop around. Same work different plumber. Only $985 total! Thanks Mike Kimble for refusing to come to my house. You have plenty of other customers to rip off! Sorry I ever gave you guys business!!!
Scott (plumber) and Marcelino (sheetrock) both did amazing work replacing a cast-iron pipe in my dining room wall that had cracked and begun to leak down into the garage. The repair involved carefully removing sheetrock and shear wall sections, removing and replacing an 8-foot section of pipe, then patching it all up. Scott initially visited and assessed what would need to be done, and recommended he return with Marcelino because of the extent of wall that needed removal. That was a brilliant move, since Marcelino did a flawless job on the cutting and repair, right down to the final texturing match. I only had to follow-up with a couple coats of paint a day later. Super friendly guys, flawless job, highly recommended!
Ingrid D.Mike is honest, hard working, reliable, but most importantly he fixed the leaks in my house-shower, laundry, and the main emergency shut off knob.
I highly recommend him.

Brax K.Jason from mike Kimble plumbing was the tech who came out to service a clogged drain.
We've used mike Kimble plumbing for 15+ years to service our rental properties.
Usually we get great service from this company, not this time.
Jason came out, snaked the drain and said the drain was clear. He ended up putting in a pop stopper and off he went.
The next day our tenants called to let us know the drains were still clogged.
Called mike Kimble to get the tech back out. They ended up sending a different tech then before. This tech solved the issue and we paid the $135 bill.
A few weeks later we get a call from Jason (the 1st tech). He asked us why we haven't paid the $235 bill for his service. We told him we were not paying because we already paid for the service bill and what Jason had done on his visit did nothing to solve the issue.
He said fine then we won't ever service you ever again.
A month later our tenant called mike Kimble to have a different issue to be fixed. Well... they held to their word and said ""were not servicing you any more.""
So after 15+ years of giving mike Kimble our money and dedicated business, they were easy to say goodbye to us as customers.
Frances G.Our water heater has apparently died. Had a plumber here for 5 minutes who said he could not fix it, offered to replace for $1700. Best of all, jerk left us a bill for $110 for 5 minutes of ""work ."" What a rip off !
We had a very good experience with Kimble Plumbing. We needed to replace our lateral sewer line using the trenchless method. Mike Kimble gave us a competitive quote and supplied a very experienced and professional crew. The work was done on schedule, with no surprises or extra costs. I would definitely use Kimble Plumbing again.
Margaret J.Mike Kimble Plumbing came to my home yesterday for the first time. I had a problem with the diverter in my shower. Scott fixed it right away and now its working perfectly. I have some upcoming remodels to do in two bathrooms and I will be calling Mike Kimble to do the work for me. I'm a happy customer.
I used Mike Kimble plumbing for an emergency water heater replacement in the past that worked out great. Being a returning customer I expected the same great service. This time I had a leaking shower. They came out on a Tuesday and I was told by the plumber that came out that I'd have an estimate later that day or the next. When I didn't hear from them I called and left a message w/one of the guys who assured me I'd hear back. Still didn't hear by 3pm the next day. Called again and had confusing conversation with the owner. Did not have an estimate or an appointment available. I was finally told by them that it's not uncommon to not have an estimate or a date by this time. I'm left with a leak under my house and advised to shut on/off water main to my house. And told to get another plumber. I guess they did not want to do the work....? I feel that maybe due to asking about a payment plan and living in a mobile home that needs a lot of work that there could be possible discrimination going on here. I really cannot think of any other reason for such poor treatment by this company.
Liz B.Outstanding Crew of Plumbers & support team. First called them a couple of years ago when they got Ventura County Reporters BEST PLUMBER award and have never regretted it. (We've had some real sketchy plumbers in the past!). The company has been around for many years, are extremely knowledgeable(=FAST) and the plumbers always know their stuff, even cleaning up their mess! Anna their receptionist is so personable and very helpful quickly getting someone out ASAP. Mike himself has come out to work with city inspectors on sticky permit issues! Every plumber that has visited our home has been really outstanding, efficient and mannerly. And did I mention they bill us for the work? Not the very cheapest in town, but with plumbing, you get what you pay for and Kimble Plumbing is a bargain for what you get. I wouldn't call anyone else in Ventura but Mike Kimble Plumbing. Thanks!
