After calling several plumbers in the area, Pekin and Peoria, Mike was the only one available! Had a leak in the ceiling because my house is on a slab. Mike and Kenny came within 24 hours, took a couple hours to repair, quick and reliable, reasonably priced too! I have used him in another house but had forgotten about him, would definitely use again but hopefully will have no other problems!

I just had a technician show up today for a scheduled repair to my GE, electric, high efficiency water heater. He looked at the water heater and said he'd never seen anything like this before (I purchased it in 2012). He said he could ""try"" to do the repair"" and ""probably figure it out"". That was not at all reassuring. I have the parts from the manufacturer and just needed a professional to install them. Very disappointing.

*I posted the above as a comment on their Facebook post advertising professional water heater installation, and it was promptly removed. They will not respond to repeated calls to speak about this.

I had a sewage ejection pit with a split on the side and in to the bottom. The pump ran every hour. I called 4 plumbers in our Metamora area. No one would even look at the problem. Called Fauser in Bartonville, and he came and fixed the problem. I would highly recommend Mike for your plumbing needs!

I called Fauser for a stopped up kitchen drain. The person who answered the phone wouldn't even let me explain the problem. Instead she said they didn't have anyone available and to call Roto Rooter. Terrible customer service. I'm a past customer who will never call them again.

Mike Fauser plumbing was very professional and kind. They worked with us on every issue with our insurance claim and did excellent work. Highly recommend them. We scheduled the work to be done and they were always prompt and courteous. Thank you for your work at our house during a very stressful period in our lives.

We hired Mike Fauser Plumbing to come out and address multiple issues from our home inspection (Morton, IL). We provided the inspection report in advance and the list of issues we needed help with. We scheduled the work to be done the day we closed on the house and the plumbing technician arrived on time as far as I remember.

Two issues the plumber was able to fix: making a hot water faucet work properly and installing some HPR valve extensions on a water heater and storage tank.

We had one issue regarding the way the sewer line comes in the house that the inspector recommended we evaluate and questions about basement drain lines and also wanted to correct the bathroom venting to the attic to a fresh air source instead. We received no answers that day on any of these latter issues but the technician said he would get some advice as to how to proceed.

After two weeks of hearing nothing, my husband called to see if we could get the rest of the work completed. Mike's wife took the call and she relayed my husband's questions to him and he shouted back his replies never actually coming to the phone. He apparently believes we don't need to correct any of the remaining basement issues. Hopefully, he examined some photos or talked to the technician who came out but we don't know. Don't have a lot of confidence that we don't have a problem. He also shouted that they don't fix bathroom venting to the attic even though we were told a plumber usually does this work and I had confirmed this over the phone in advance with the man's wife. Why would they not tell me this up front?

So in summary, two things were fixed, two he says aren't needed but we never received an explanation and don't know how he came to that conclusion, and one issue he refuses to work on (even though we confirmed the service up front).

There was no follow-up. We had to call after not hearing anything for two weeks. And he couldn't be troubled to pick up the phone and answer our questions and assure us himself.

Very disappointing experience. I guess we'll need a second opinion on basement issues hopefully with someone who doesn't mind taking the time to discuss it and we still need to get the bathroom venting issue corrected.

Update: I did email the business we weren't real happy with the service we got. I did get an answer after doing so that the basement plumbing was not installed 100% to code but they didn't see another way to do it and that we should have asked to speak to Mike directly and he would have done so. Fine but it was still unprofessional and that seems obvious since we called.

And the office manager responded in ALL CAPS that the venting was not a plumbing issue. The all caps wasn't necessary. Our realtor had recommended they do this work and had told us plumbers do this type of work. I had specifically asked upon making the appointment and provided the inspection report. I don't know how much clearer I could have been. They now say they do not do bath fans or sheet metal work.

I will change the rating from 1 star to 2 because at least we now have a reason on the basement plumbing issue but the communication skills lack with this business.

I hired Mike Fauser plumbing two times during the 2005-2006 time frame. First they installed a new sump pump for me since the builder-installed one failed. They were prompt with their appointment time and were courteous during their visit. They even covered their shoes so they wouldn't track dirt on my carpets.

The second time I hired them, they installed a batter backup sump pump. Again their service was prompt and courteous, and they offered to install a shutoff valve for my outdoor hose bibs at no charge.

5 stars is our family experience with Mike Fauser Plumbing. They have fixed our plumbing and plumbing related problems on several occasions. From frozen pipes to leaking sinks and toilets. Prompt, efficient and courteous, reasonably priced compared to other folks in town.
