Very disappointed just by the initial phone call. No ball park estimates over the phone. You must schedule someone to come out and look at a simple faucet replacement first then get a quote and schedule for who knows when. First I don't have time for 2 appointments for something simple. Second I guess they want to see in person I am a single woman so they can rip me off. No thanks!

I was in need of a whole house re-pipe. I hired Michael Douglas Plumbing. They finished the job and were getting ready to leave when I told them I want them to show me what they had done. They did not want to take the time but I insisted before paying them. In our contract, they were to install a water spigot on the outside garage wall. They ran the pipe on the inside of the wall and mounted the spigot INSIDE of the garage. They moved it at my request although they didn't want to. As we walked around the house, I noticed the pipe they were using running across the ground along the side of my house. They told me it was normal and legal in Florida. I asked that it be buried and as I watched, the plumber KICKED dirt over it with his foot. I decided the person didn't have much common sense and I would call the office the next day. That evening and the next morning when I turned on the water in my house, the plumbing made a horrible squealing noise. I called the office to rectify the issues. I was told the squealing was normal and someone would come bury the pipes. I put up with the noise for a while and at times it was minimal. When the temperature changed a few months later it was quite loud and very annoying. I called again about the squealing and someone came out a 2nd and 3rd time still saying it's normaL Not wanting to deal with company I tried to ignore it. Finally I called again and asked to speak to the owner. I made 7 or 8 calls to the owner who was NEVER AVAILABLE AND NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS. I finally settled for the operations manager who assured me the squealing was easily fixed. After months of frustration and incompetence, finally something would be done. I scheduled an appointment with the operations manager who said he would come out personally. HE DID NOT SHOW UP. HE DIDN'T EVEN CALL. There was no communication even by the next day. I HAD TO CALL THEM. Again I tried to contact the owner. He couldn't be bothered to return my calls so again I had to deal with the operations manager. We scheduled another appointment. He told me he would explain to the person who would be coming out what needed to be done and they would take care of it that day. A plumber came on the scheduled day, looked at what needed to be done, and said he didn't have the parts to fix it. This was the WORST contractor experience I have ever had. I would NOT hire Michael Douglas Plumbing for anything!!! If the OWNER doesn't care enough to return a phone call or hire competent plumbers, he shouldn't be in business. I only wrote this in order to save the next person a huge headache and maybe a lot of money. I hope this helps.

I have used them through the years and they are consistently professional and helpful employees.. I truly believe they try to save you money and do the best job possible . All employees wear a mask upon entering and clean up after they are done . Thank you many times over for your help through the years with my pipes, toilets , and most recently installing my new laundry center for me due to unforeseen issues. Much obliged ..

I have a Rinnai Tankless Gas water heater that won't make hot water. it stopped working in the middle of the night so first thing in the a.m. I called Basil Appliance and was told Michael Douglas Plumbing would be my best resource for a Rinnai. When I spoke with Michele at Michael Douglas I was very clear about what unit I have and even provided the model number. She left the phone to make sure they worked on the units and that they have repair parts on their vehicles, when she returned she stated that they do work on these units and have repair parts in their vehicles. It was a little after 9am and I was told the Technician would call me between 12 noon and 4PM to come over for the repair. I didn't hear anything so I called about 3:45 to make sure they were still coming. Karen checked and said yes they are running behind and a tech will call to let me know he's on his way. About 5:20 I receive a call from a Tech named Matt who informed me that they really don't work on these units and do not stock any parts for them. He also stated that it's most likely my heat exchanger that is bad and it's cheaper to replace the entire unit. He said he could still come over but the chances of me getting hot water tonight are very slim. I told him not to bother and that I was upset that his office misrepresented their capabilities and cost me an entire day of wasted waiting time and delayed my repairs even further. I should send them my hotel bill. I will never call or recommend this company.

For years this is the only company take care my plumbing and my rentals. I got re-piping my house and my two neighbors has too for our recommendations. During the Hurricane Irma, something when wrong to my bank and they call me for the mistake. The problem was a return check to Mike Douglas. So I tell them is fine, I paid for another account and I will call them. Was so busy I couldn't call but a lady from that office call me and was sooo rude. I explained her was an error of the bank during the hurricane and another check was on the way and she didn't listened to me. I'm a customer for years and never that happen to me and always paid on time. Never use this company again and I do not recommended. She treatment like a criminal and I was a loyalty customer. Never again

Our water heater needed replacement -- called Mike Douglass Plumbing for a replacement--they came the same day and did a good job--however, they charged $1100.00 for a water heater that I saw online for $504.00, and also checked Home Depot, their price was $389.00. I understand the convenience of them having it on hand and delivering it to me, but the extra charge seems rather exorbitant.

Came out to my house same day (SUNDAY!), and unclogged my nasty kitchen drain. Technician was very polite and efficient.

These guys came pretty fast and the guy that came worked hard to fix our clogged drain. He didn't charge us as he was unable to help. He said a drain specialist will call... No call , we called them after a bit. Frankie told us it would be $1250. To come back and fix the clog. . Then said he would call the 1st guy that was here and get back to us. No call back. Anyway I'm not happy with the way this was handled and will not use them again. End of story. We called Roto ruder and they came and fixed it for $400.

They were recommended as being very good. I called and told the person who answered the phone, EXACTLY what I needed. This guy came, he capped off the leak, but I had said to please check for a second leak and I TOLD the lady that. This guy yells at me and says he doesn't have time for that!! Terrible. Just terrible.

We had a hot water heater leaking and Mike Douglas was the only local plumbing company that actually answered and had a guy out within a few hours. Needed our hot water heater replaced. We are as good as new. They even cleaned up afterwards. Very honest and respectful. Will never use another company. Thank you.
