Zero stars. 13 days ago, Mike Diamond Plumbing came out to give me an estimate on a clogged shower drain, issues with poor toilet flushing, low hot water pressure in all faucets including the dishwasher and washing machine, and a cartridge change on the jacuzzi tub faucet. They snaked the shower drain, changed one bathroom faucet fixture, and said the problem was that I needed all new fixtures in the whole house from hard water build up, and that they need to descale my tankless water heater and add a filter. So I purchased 6 new fixtures for the kitchen and bathrooms, and they told me they would get the cartriges for the jacuzzi fixture, as well as the tankless filter. After the two technicians sat in the truck crunching the numbers, they come back in the house and literally said, ""Maybe you should sit down"" before they gave me the total, which was $3,850.00. I realize this was high, but I just wanted to get the plumbing issues resolved, so I agreed to the price and signed the estimate with the work scope. That was 13 days ago. Since then, I have not seen them, because I'm still waiting for them to get the part they need for the jazuzzi faucet. And the shower they snaked is clogged again, and the bathroom faucet that they changed out, once again, has little pressure. So in essence, 13 days later, my plumbing is in the exact same state as it was before they came out. I emailed Dave, the Branch Manager at Mike Diamond LSC #3 on Friday, 8/26/22 to inform them that the shower was once again clogged despite them snaking it twice in the same day, and that the bathroom faucet pressure was once again low, rendering useless the work that they spent all day doing when they were here. I indicated that I would need someone to CORRECTLY re-diagnose the plumbing issues before moving forward and spending nearly $4,000 on plumbing work. No response. I emailed Dave again on Saturday. No response. Today, Dave tells me I need to speak to Victor, who was one of the plumbers who came to my house originally and who ""diagnosed"" the issues. Victor then tells me that they STILL, after 13 days, do not have the needed cartridges for the jacuzzi faucet repair, and that he can send another technician out later this week, but can give me no logical reason why they STILL have not obtained the needed cartriges for the repair. I told him that I did not want to start from scratch with a different technician, I just want the issues resolved and repaired. I then asked Victor what is the actual ""PLAN"" for the repair, because I do not want them to have to keep coming out in multiple visits, and that I want to be informed of the actual plan of action before the visit, since there are so many different open action items. Victor then gets annoyed, and says, ""Well then go ahead and call another plumber!"" I instantly hung up on him, shocked at this poor level of customer service, and called back and spoke with Dave, the Branch Manager. Dave refused to let me get a word in edgewise when I tried to explain that I need an actual plan of action for the repair. Dave then said, ""I'm not gonna go back and forth with you like you just did with Victor! We said we're sending another technician out!"" I indicated to Dave that I just needed to understand WHAT work would be done when the technician came out, but he would not answer the question, repeating that he did not have time to go back and forth. Wow. Really? I've been waiting for 13 days to get my plumbing fixed, and now I'm told THEY don't have time to go back and forth with ME? Really?? I then asked for his supervisor, and he named Jeri Gordon. I asked for a call back from Jeri Gordon. This is ridiculous. 13 days later and not ONE of my plumbing issues is resolved. ***UPDATE**-- Called again today. ""Sherry,"" at the call center, insists that the only person she can transfer me to is the Branch Manager, Dave, the SAME person I'm reporting for poor customer service. After pushing, I got a call from Jeri Gordon, GM and Dave's supervisor, who tells me that Dave's side of the story is that ""the plumbing work never continued because I never agreed to the price."" I told her they have a copy of the estimate and work scope, WITH MY SIGNATURE ON IT, AGREEING TO THE PRICE AND SCOPE OF WORK! She then tried to say that my signature doesn't mean I agreed to the price or the work. I said, ""Why would I sign a document with a price tag and work scope listed, NOT agreeing to the price or the scope of work?!? What else would my signature mean??: She said, ""Well maybe you were just signing to acknowledge that you received the estimate."" WHAT HOMEOWNER SIGNS AN ESTIMATE FOR WHICH THEY HAVE NO INTENTION OF MOVING FORWARD WITH THE WORK? She then tells me they could not find the cartridges for the jacuzzi repair. OMG! Self advertised as the ""SMELL GOOD"" plumbers, yet, the customer service STINKS.

Had a terrible experience with these guys. They insisted on up-selling me a $3k job when alI wanted was a snake.
They finally reluctantly snakes my line, but with minimal effort and in a very ineffective manor.
Will never use these guys again.

These guys came to my office to look at a couple clogged sinks in 2 bathrooms which share a wall and drainage pipe. They quoted me $235 and informed me that there would be no charge if they couldn't fix it. Then the guy tells me he has to break the seal on a pipe under the sink to snake it. He then tells me that he's unable to snake the sinks because of the way they're connected in the wall and that it will cost $5,000 to fix it and that they don't do wall repair. Obviously I wished him a good day. The sink he messed with then started leaking and now we had a bigger mess than we started with. I then called a different plumber that was referred to me by my landlord. These guys came in and fixed the leak and replaced the pipe the Mike Diamond guy messed up. Then they snaked the pipe without a problem and everything is now working perfectly. $185 total. Westchester Plumbing 310-568-8648. Oh, the Mike Diamond guy did smell good...

The advertisement said $90 for unclogging slow drain in bathroom tub. I had called them in January for this problem. After they got here, I found out the cost was PER DRAIN. My bathroom sink was slow, too. I had asked for the drains to be snaked. Guy showed up on time, but, I know he didn't snake the drains, cause he wasn't in the bathroom long enough.. The drains have been slow ever since. After I called them today and told them the problem, they were going to charge me for another visit. My husband died on Xmas Day, so, I had other things to take care of, before calling about the slow drains.
I would not recommend this company. They don't stand by their work.

I heard the add on the radio for $99 unclog any sink. Cool, this works. I scheduled the appointment and set the time. My rental is a condo in Studio City (the condo number and address should have been their first clue). I get a call an hour after the appointment saying that the plumber could not find parking. After calling and talking to the manager they let me know that their trucks are too big for traditional parking. Why the heck did you book the job at a condo if you can't fit in condo parking? also, somehow fedex, UPS, the mailman, etc all are able to work in studio city... I should have read the reviews. If you have a condo apparently this plumber cannot work on it. Find someone else that is competent enough to figure out how to park in a city.

The Search for Integrity in Plumbing Pricing Continues.....
Last week, we noticed a wet spot in some dirt in our flower bed in the front yard. Approximately 12 inches in diameter. We hadn't had the sprinklers on for a week, so thought it odd. My husband dug a couple of inches deep and several inches wide around it. Soft garden dirt, so not too difficult. It didn't seem emergent, but we decided to call Mike Diamond and schedule an appointment - we used the company for the first time a few months ago for a simple drain snaking and the $99 job went as quoted. We figured $79 just to come to the house is not super cheap, but not too terrible and better to be safe than sorry.
So the plumber, Brian, shows up the next day. He talks to my husband a few minutes, goes back and forth to his truck a couple of times, gets a shovel and digs a couple inches deeper and wider than my husband did. He spends some time figuring out which is the sprinkler water valve shut-off and which is the house water shut-off. He accidentally kicks and breaks another of our outdoor pipes and spends some time fixing that. He ultimately says that this is a sprinkler pipe and not a house/sewage pipe and we would be better off reaching out to our gardener. Bill total for this? $347!
He verifies that $79 is only for him to show up at the house, but to open his toolbox - a shovel in this case - is an additional $250. Plus tax obviously.
We called the company to complain about the pricing. A few days later, the manager, Carlos, called back, said he spoke with the plumber who explained the work involved, and ultimately agreed with the plumber pricing. He reiterated that the cost to show up to the house is $79, but to open the toolbox - regardless of work done - was another $250. He said this one time he would credit us a $100. We did just get a $99 credit - but after all this, even this $1 discrepancy seemed kind of dishonest and gouging.
I'm all for paying a fair wage for a skilled person's work, but $347 for digging a few inches of soft dirt and not fixing anything is ludicrous. I am a 6 month pregnant ER nurse working in a pandemic - if I have to work almost a full 12 hour day on my feet to earn enough money to pay for someone to open a toolbox and ultimately inform us to reach out to someone else to fix the issue, something is wrong.
We were born and raised in this area, have tons of family and friends in the area and all of us are still searching for a plumber we trust not to gouge us. We will be sure to tell all of them of our experience with Mike Diamond. As such...the search for a plumbing company with integrity in pricing continues.

The technicians were lovely and the customer service was helpful. That is why they get 2 stars. I had to have Mike Diamond come out twice because they didn't fix the problem the first time and the second time was far more ""extensive"". Why it wasn't fixed the first time is beyond me. However, the management was terrible. I spoke to George and he told me one thing in the afternoon and after the technician got there, he said another. If you need a plumber in West LA, a friend, who owns and manages properties, recommended Pete the Plumber-323-654-5404.

Dave, the Service Manager from Mike Diamond refused to service our home. This, because I told him that I would not let them run a camera through our lines. He also refused to give me his name and location. He is the service manger for the south bay. I refused to allow them to do more than snake the mainline because they quoted my elderly mother $15,000, yes that is thousand for a job that I had done for $500. This is why they have such terrible ratings. Don't ever have Mike Diamond do more than snake a drain!!! They use this as a ploy to get you to do work that you DO NOT need! RUN!!!

I've heard about the smell good plumbers of Mike Diamond for years on KNX 1070 and how wonderful they are, and thought I'd give them a try. I'm writing this review not so much to complain, but so others will make sure to ask the correct questions to get the $99 drain cleaning deal and not have the same experience as me. I doubt most homeowners know the specifics of their drain system. Had I known the price I was originally quoted was not the price I was going to pay, I could have gotten another plumber to come in sooner for less than I ultimately paid.
I'm giving a two star rating since the tech and manager were both nice and worked with me. The tech was on time and did smell OK. The tech also made sure to protect my kitchen floor with a large carpet. He worked very hard trying to solve a leak issue that came up.
The reason I'm only giving a 2 star review is due to the fact that when I called I specifically told them we are in a townhouse and didn't know if there was a direct clean out. I knew to mention this since I had called other plumbers who had asked me this specific question. The gentleman who I spoke to assured me it would be be only $99 and no more. I once again confirmed that it would be only $99 and he confirmed the price.
When the plumber arrived he told me it would cost $289 since there was no clean out. I immediately spoke to the supervisor complaining about the price switch. She spoke to her supervisor. I was told they reviewed the recording of our call and told me that the rep I spoke to was in training and made a mistake quoting me the $99 price and that I didn't specifically mention that we didn't have a clean out (I'm certain that I said I wasn't sure if we did-hence my confirming the price with the original rep). After I complained the manager said she was willing to drop the price to $209 due to the mistake.
The tech did complete the job and did a thorough clean up and check of the drain, which now works. There was a small leak, that took quite a while to work on

DONT HIRE MIKE DIAMOND!!!!
$99 Drain Cleaning???? THIS IS BULL!!! They came out and it was explained to them what the problem was and automatically the said ""We need to get a camera down there whish will cost $450.00.
They didnt even try to clean the drain at all just say ""needs the camera"". NO!!! First try the drain cleaning, charge me the $99 either way and if you cant get it then suggest the camera!!!
I will spread the word to everyone I know not to call this company. Useless and lazy!!!! Horrible attitudes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
