The water heater of our rental unit went out, and we needed the issue resolved quickly. A Mike Diamond tech/repair person came out. I requested quotes for both service and replacement, as the tank is nearing 8 years old. The tech said the issue could be one of two things, one of which would be $650 to troubleshoot and repair, and the other would be $750. As he is the expert and I am a layperson, why would I as the customer have to decide which component he should troubleshoot? I was leaning toward replacement anyway so that we would be good for a few years. The replacement cost through Mike Diamond was $3500. Obviously we chose no services. We are going with another local company for a replacement, for a cost of $1425.

I'm actually really upset right now because these guys just left and hustled my mom. There was a toilet clog and my mom called them to do their thing. They said they couldn't clear it so they'd need to remove the toilet and do a ""reset"" and clean it out which would cost $650. What else could she do? She trusted these guys so she shelled out the money. When they finished she asked what was the cause of the plug and they said a ""feminine product."" Now I wasn't around to hear that because had I heard that I would've called their bullshit on the spot. My mom doesn't use the front restroom, it's really reserved for guests (which we didn't have) and my brother, who I doubt uses feminine products. She solely uses the one in her room. When it's that time for me, I also only use her restroom for my female issues, I NEVER flush ANY PRODUCT down the toilet, and as of their visit, it wasn't even that time of the month... sooo what feminine product did they find? They saw a nice, shy 60 year old lady that they knew wouldn't question things and they played her. After looking up these guys on yelp, I'm actually really surprised she even called them. Their reviews are terrible and many claim similar issues of fake problems.

We contacted Mike Diamond for an estimate to replace our main water line and the estimate was very expensive. We contacted Western Supreme Rooter in Arcadia for another estimate and we rec'd an estimate that was less than half the price of the Mike Diamond estimate. We obviously went with Western Supreme Rooter to replace our main water line. Western Supreme Rooter got the job done quickly, on time at the quoted price. Excellent service from Western Supreme Rooter, very satisfied.
I guess Mike Diamonds prices are so high to pay for their commercials.
I will never contact Mike Diamond again.

Wanted to get ahead of the Holidays and decided to get the plumming maintenance done before all the people arrived. Mike Diamond company did the maintenance, or should I say ""didn't"" do the job.
The Holidays came, the family and friends came, the toilets overflowed, the baths overflowed. The floors had a 1/2"" of filthy, unsanitary water all over the place.
I was angry, embarrassed, concerned about health.
Mike Diamond did refund my money, but the clean-up and getting things right was my problem! Bad news.

Warning to all potential customers! Mike has put himself in a situation where most good and qualified plumbers and AC techs do not want to work for him. Mike claims to be a ""big"" company but he currently only has 47-48 technicians for his 7 service centers which cover all of SoCal (not including San Diego). Mike spends A LOT of money on advertising (KFi and KNX) in order to try to get new customers to take advantage of. Because he spends so much money on advertising, most of his service centers overbook calls. Now here's the problem.....Mike uses ""apprentices"" to run a lot of these service calls. These ""apprentices"" aren't licensed or qualified plumbers and their only job is to try to get the Field Sales Manager to your house so they can sell you unnecessary repairs. Mike's Field Sales Managers are high pressure salesmen who are commission paid and don't do any of the work on the job. Mike's #1 goal is to make money by any means necessary and the quality of his plumbers and AC techs is not up to par with the prices he charges. This is also evident in the fact that Mike's technicians are commission paid salesmen and Mike punishes them with minimum wage if they don't sell enough products in a 2 week period.

Please help get the word out because we need to help protect people from predatory companies such as Mike Diamond!

I called Mike diamond plumbing out to my house last Saturday. The drains in my bathroom were all backed up and dirty water overflowing everywhere. When he got to my house, he said there was nothing he could do for me and the technician said he would contact his dispatch, and waive the house call fee of $260.I did agree to pay this Before they arrived. so I guess I'm on the hook but I think it would be best if they would not have offered to waive the fee. I would never call them again because they appear to be useless and charge too much.

Every several months, my kitchen sink backs up. I grab my 50ft snake, attach it to my drill, and do what I can. Every couple of years, I rent a snake and try to clean the pipes. It lasts a few months, backs up again for several days, out comes my snake and power drill.
This time I decided to hire a professional, so I called Mike Diamond ""the smell good plumbers"" for the $99 drain clearing special.
Daniel and Steve came out. I was wearing my face covering and doing the physical distance thing, so I can't tell you if they smelled good or not, but their uniforms were clean.
They ran a snake, much longer than my Home Depot one. My drain was running faster, but not what I had hoped for. Daniel asked how long this problem had been going on? I told him my grandmother bought the house in the 70's and started having problems around the 90's, my mom inherited it and had problems now and then, and by the time we got the house about 5 years ago, it was a constant thing. Have the pipes ever been power cleaned? No, I can assure you they have not. My grandfather and my step-dad were DIY'ers and would never hire a plumber.
Daniel explained the power cleaner was a nozzle with one jet going forward and three (?) going backward that blasted the pipes clean, but it runs about $550. My wife said do it.
The decades-old gunk that this power wash brought out of the pipes!!! I kid you not, chunks of old solid grease the size and shape of a twinkie came out of that pipe! Daniel and Steve ran that nozzle back and forth, bringing up chunks of varying size and shape for about 35 minutes until nothing else came up. Tomorrow the camera guy is coming back to inspect the pipe (he had several other calls and couldn't come out today), and if needed, they will blast the pipes again, but I'm satisfied that by the next time I need my drill-operated snake again, I'll have long misplaced it and need to go buy a new one!
My wife and I are VERY pleased with the work of Daniel and Steve, of Mike Diamond Plumbing!!!

Worst customer service! I paid the ""$99.00 to unclog any drain"". I was told by customer service that the guarantee is only good if you purchase an addition warranty. I was never informed or offered an additional warranty.

Tech #6287 was called out to clear the lines in the toilet and the bathtub. We were told he would be there around 8:00 pm after the call he was on. So at 9:45 tech#6287 Robert shows up and takes a look at the bathroom and ask do you have a access to the bathroom from the outside and my man said yes, takes him to the backyard and I hear this Ginger Robert tech #6286 tell my man it will be $3,000.00 to get access under the house to clean the lines. WTF YES THE QUOTE IN WRITING IS $2950.00.... This POS didn't offer to put a camera down the toilet to see where the problem might be. HE ROBERT TECH #6287 SHOWED UP AT 9:45 and the simple quote was given at 9:57. IM NOT LOOKING TO GET SCREWED OVER BY YOUR HYPE OF MIKE DIAMOND AND NO THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO SEE IF THIS POS SMELLED GOOD BECAUSE NO HE DIDN'T HE SMELLED LIKE IM GOING TO F THEM OVER AND MOVE ON GO GO HOME TO HIS FAMILY. Was he friendly No. He didn't give 1 or 2 Shits about what was the problem!!!!

Called at 5:30pm due to a small leak I discovered outside my house. That was considered an after hour call which was hefty, $260 for them just to come to my house. The original clerk said they would send me an email and then call half hour later to say when they would arrive. Received the email and no call after 1/2 hour. Called them again 45 minutes later. Received a different clerk. I asked when I could expect someone to call me when they were coming. She explained I had to reply on the email to get them to come out. The original person did not share that important detail. The plumber finally arrives an hour after this second call. Looks at my leak, says its unrepairable. Then tells me, he cannot turn off my water because it's missing a turning dial/valve. Then we found another faucet to slow the water down. He literally told me it was frozen. I looked at him, bent down and turned the valve myself. What a complete idiot!! Did absolutely nothing for me but came with a big truck i'm certain, loaded with equipment.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY! They rip you off!!!! $260 for absolutely nothing! Disgusting mannerism and totally inept!!!
