My water heater was leaking, went to Lowe's to shop for a water heater, while I was at Lowe's and browsed through the water heater web page, a phone call popped up on my phone, I received the call, it was connected with Mike Council call center, the lady proceeded to get my contact info, and asked for $89 to send a Tech out to take a look and will get me a quote, I asked what was the quote for a simple basic 40 gallon water heater replacement, she couldn't answer, felt weird, I told her I was not interested in dealing with any business that doesn't have a fixed price for a typical work order. latter on I called my sister who had a 75 gallon water heater replaced lately, she said yeah, she got a quotation from the Mike Council's Tech, quoted $5000 for a 75 gallons Water heater replacement. and resulted in no deal, too expensive for a simple job.

I am very disappointed. I was initially very pleased that Mike Counsil was able to send a plumber out on very short notice when I had a toilet back up. The young man was polite. He insisted on going under my house first and came back saying that our outflow pipes were in terrible shape. He showed pictures that I now wonder if they were even of my house. He used an auger to clear the toilet, but wanted his salesman to come back and propose a fix of the pipes. In the end, they charged a great deal for the initial fix and gave me a bad assessment of the state of my pipes. They couldn't be sure there wouldn't be more to be done once they cut the pipes open and assessed the condition.
They were very disappointed that I said I wanted to have my regular plumber look at the pipes and give me a second assessment.
Well..that happened today and the pipes are not nearly as bad as they made them sound. There is one junction that could be improved, but they are not on the verge of collapse as I was led to believe. It strikes me that Mike Counsil makes a practice of presenting bad scenarios and making ""open ended"" ""we'll see what we find"" bids to rob customers. Glad I had the wherewithal to not jump into his net too quickly.

I called Mike Counsil Plumbing again based on a previous good experience. This time, I had 2 small problems to be corrected, and needed advice and a bid to bring some water lines up to current code.

Kevin Bueno showed up on time and ready to go. Two problems resolved, and bid prepared, all in less that 2 hours.

Before I encountered Mike Counsil plumbing, I could easily spend 2 hours just trying to get through to someone. These people are great, highly recommended.

Mike Counsil Plumbing was my knight in shining armor yesterday. We have had continued issues with our hot water heater that is only 3 years old. We have had a number of different plumbing companies come out and supposedly fix the issue, only for the problem to return in a few short months. Fast forward to yesterday when 1. My husband is out of town 2. It's extremely cold outside and 3. I have 2 small children that look like they found every bit of dirt and food they could find and smeared it all over themselves. They needed baths and I needed hot water. I called Mike Counsil Plumbing and from the moment one of the ladies on the phone asked me ""How can I make you smile today"" I knew I was in good hands. Maybe she could sense the panic in my voice, but she kept me on the phone, confirmed that they could service the type of water heater I had and the problem it was experiencing. She then scheduled to have someone come out that day! To top it off, she texted me a photo of who was coming and the exact time he would be there. How comforting is that?!?

Fast forward again to 3 hours later and Josiah shows up at my door. First off...nicest guy ever. Says hello to my kids and dog. He puts shoe covers on, follows me to the mechanical room, assesses the issue, calls the maker of the hot water heater to explain the issue, figures out how to fix it and get this.... figures out how to make it not happen again!!!!! Josiah was there for about 3 hours. He got it working again and even stayed to make sure it fully heated and maintained heat once it got to temperature. At the end he handed me a certificate guaranteeing their work and even left his cell number if there are any additional issues.

5 stars for the front office staff and Josiah. We will be using Mike Counsil plumbing moving forward for all our plumbing needs.

** BONUS: They have an awesome home program where you pay $7.99 a month and they give you a discount on any future plumbing work and it includes a yearly trip out to your house to check all your plumbing fixtures, drains, flush your water heater, etc...regardless of the size house you have. Every year we have something come up and we need to call a plumber. Let's just say I couldn't sign up fast enough.

Shane Braden was dispatched to the house to perform my mom's annual ""Home Improvement Contract,"" Shane was prompt, courteous and professional. He explained what he was doing and inspecting. He performed hot water heater flush, checked pressure, inspected house plumbing asked if we had any issues, etc.

I highly recommend Shane for his professionalism, technical knowledge, and neatness. He is a real asset to Mike Council Plumbing.

Charles was the technician who came out to look at my 14 year old water heater. He was professional. Explained what my options were and gave me a detail quote before he left.

I compared a few quotes, his quote was the highest, but it was worth the money.

He really took care of me, installed a new unit with permit. It was worry free.

If you are looking for quality work that's going to leave you peace of mind, this is the place for you. If you are looking for the lowest cost, you are probably better off somewhere else.

Had a great experience from the start to the end. Had an emergency leak in the kitchen, another company I called offered an appointment only in 2 weeks! From Mike Counsil Plumbing, they called me back in minutes, offered an appointment for the next day and they even checked back at 8 am the next day to see if I could receive a technician sooner than appointed time having considered that I needed help asap. All that prompt support via calls already felt great and took a lot of the stress caused by the problem.
The service itself was performed by Bobby Mata, who arrived on time, was very professional and efficient, inspected the problem, explained everything that had happened, gave me clear solution options and patiently answered all my questions. Above all, he solved the problem as if it's never even been there.
Very happy and will keep using Bobby's and Mike Counsil Plumbing services!

I had scheduled an appointment with them to get an urgent plumbing job done and on the day of the appt I'm told the technician had another unforseen emergency job come up and wouldn't be able to make it. I took the day off of work for the appointment and the best solution they could give me was for me to call around to other plumbers in the area or to reschedule in which I'd have to take another day off...no thanks. Terrible service, definitely won't be using their service.
