I have had several jobs done by Mike and all were done quickly and professionally. He'll diagnose the problem and explain what he's going to do and give a fair price to fix it. What I was most impressed by was the fact that each time he would call a couple days later to make sure everything was running properly.
He has done basic things like replaced old piping for our shower, replaced diverter in our tub, stopped our toilet from running and done more complicated jobs like flushing the coil and replacing mixing valve on our boiler.
We were actually having a problem with our hot water and when we told him the coil flush helped but water was still getting cold, he came back and pulled the coil out of boiler and cleaned the outside of the coil from the old heating oil build up free of charge.
Showering hasn't been the same since! High pressure and never lose hot water anymore!
I have full faith in Mike and would recommend him to anyone! He stands by his work and makes sure the customer is happy!

I just had to give a 5 star shout out to Mike Barrett and his team. They came to my aid immediately after I called and Mike was extremely professional. He told me exactly what was going on, what it would take to fix it and the price it would cost. Then they did the work - on time for less than anyone had quoted me!

sloppy faucet installation. laid new faucet right on top of corrosion on sink. could have easily been wiped with little effort prior to install. then never tested faucet handle. it was so tight it caused the faucet base to lift from sink in order to turn on. i fixed it by easily taking off the handle and flipped the threaded nut into right position. and also charged way more than quoted

I needed a plumber because I had a valve leak near my boiler. Since the plumber I had been using moved to Vermont, I thought this was going to be a difficult task. A few friends told me about Barrett Plumbing so I gave them a call. I left a message and received a call back asking me if they could come over between a 1:00pm to 3:00pm window. I agreed. Well, they arrived at 1:10pm ... talk about great timing and customer service. Doug and Brendan looked at the problem and in under 30 minutes they had the leak fixed by replacing the valve. In addition, Doug looked at this very old setup and suggested that he remove the unnecessary pipes and ""upgrade"" it. I could not believe how professional and thorough they were. I will definitely recommend and use them in the future.

I found this plumbing company on Yelp and they came out the next day, I couldn't believe the turnaround! I just moved into my new house and noticed that the sink in the upstairs bathroom was seriously lacking in pressure. Additionally, the toilet took like 2 minutes to fully flush. It was sooooo slow. Anyway, Mike called me back promptly and was there at 9am the next day. Couldn't be happier. Being new to the area, I knew no one. Thank you to Yelp for connecting me with Mike - my new plumber for life (or for as long as I live in Sherman, CT!)

Looking for an honest, knowledgeable and fair plumber and heating professional? Look no further than Mike Barrett!! Mr. Barrett helped us with multiple plumbing and heating repairs and replacements for the home we were selling in Danbury. He went above and beyond what we asked, always advising the right course of action that made the most sense repair and budget-wise. He also called us to alert us to an empty oil tank and shut-down furnace, advised us who to call and what to ask for with emergency oil fill service, and went back to check that it had been completed so the pipes wouldn't freeze and flood our recently remodeled home. He really took care of us during a rough winter and was honest and forthright with his advice. We can't say enough about him and his great service!! Thank you again so much, Mr. Barrett!!

Just moved into our new home which had been vacant some time. Had some issues with a mixer valve and a faucet with pressure problems. Mike came out almost immediately and had our mixer valve replaced. Helped us figure out a few other tricks with our new system without trying to sell us on services or products we don't (yet) need. We ended up ordering a new faucet and Mike had his crew out within 30 minutes of it's arrival to install. On time, courteous, clean install. This is an older home that I know we'll need more work done on. Will be calling Mike back!

Excellent and professional service. We had a minor outside faucet leak that would have turned into a major disaster with freezing temps and needed to be fixed ASAP. Mike was able to fit us in during his busy schedule. He arrived promptly, was courteous and matter o fact. Went right to work- he was quick but thorough and saved the day! (And our water pipes) After he explained exactly what he did and the correct way to use new faucet. His pricing was fair and reasonable for the work done. I had a clog in one of my main lines, apparently due to a jam of tissues and other bits that predated my move to my home a year ago. After calling Barrett Plumbing, we found a time the next day for their visit. Unfortunately, the plumbers were unable to clear the clog on the spot, however Mike had called afterwards to see to it that things were left in good standing. He obviously makes sure to take care of his business and his clients - I can appreciate that.
