Do not bother even calling Midway Services. I made an appointment with this company last week for getting Washer and Drying installed in my Condo. After waiting over 1 hour past the appointed time, I phoned their Office, and received absolutely no assistance from their office. It is obvious that this company-Midway Services- does not care about their commitments/customers.

I called and they offered someone to come out same day. Looking for a emergency shut off for a gas connection to put in a natural gas grill. Man arrive promptly and there's where it fell apart. He told me I needed a permit, and was offering a """"check"""" to make sure there was gas at the site. (which I knew there was) which there was a charge. He never really answered my questions and I finally asked could he do it and how long would it take and would it be over $300 and he said more....he said the permit alone was $150 and it would be awhile......There was nothing in his conversation that made me think he knew what he was doing or his was taking me for a fool. I had already done some preliminary work on this and said No Thanks. I called TECO and they gave me a recommendation of Plummer who worked on gas connections. He is doing the job for $200 and will have it done it a hour. Insult to injury. I called and spoke to Customer Service Mger with Midway and she wasn't interested at all in the situation . She totally defended the actions of her employee. She obviously wasn't listening. She was non apologetic and is in the wrong business.

I would avoid this company at all cost. I scheduled them to come out to deal with a simple drainage clog. I was given a quote of almost $3,000. Actually my wife was given the quote which begs the question of whether the company was trying to take advantage of my wife being female and being unfamiliar with plumbing work. After I advised how outrageous the quote was, it was quickly dropped by almost $1,000. With the quote still being outrageous we called another company that was able to take care of it on the spot for about $300. I can't imagine the number of unsophisticated consumers, retirees and the like that his company has taken advantage. My suggestion would be to avoid them at all cost.

I rent a home in Clearwater. The tankless gas hot water heater died and needed to be replaced. Thank goodness our landlord agreed to replace it for another of the same unit. They hired Midway Services to do the job. Midway sent out a plumber, nice enough guy. He takes the old one down and puts the new one up. No fuss, no hassle, is done in a couple hours and we have hot water again, hallelujah! Move forward a few days, inspector comes out, reviews the hot water heater (which is installed outside on the wall of the house) and comes to the conclusion that everything looks great except for the fact that the gas line that runs from the gas meter to the hot water heater needs to be grounded and it currently is not. He tells me that he has to fail the inspection and have them come back out to put a ground on the gas line. No problem! This should be easy, right? WRONG! Midway is now going to send out an electrician to ground the gas line. I'm told that I don't need to be here for them to do it, except the guy gets here and ends up leaving because as he tells it, he needs to get in the house. The only part of the heater that's in the house is the control panel that sets the temperature. Everything else is outside. So Midway calls me and tells me the electrician needs to get in the house. Ridiculous I say to the dispatcher who has no clue about any of it. So we schedule for me to be here the next day when the electrician comes back. Electrician comes back, still insisting he needs to get in the house. I let him in, show him the panel and tell him it's the only part in the house. He says, """"Oh, it's outside?!"""" Yes, I've only told everyone I've spoken to that several times not to mention that the guy that installed it was from the same company! So, we walk out to the water heater and I show him where the inspector said that the ground needed to go, on the gas line from the gas meter to the water heater. I am unable to watch him putting the ground on, but I figure he's an electrician, he should know what he's doing and also I was working from home. I ended up having to leave around the same time he finished so I didn't even see the completed work. A couple days later an inspector comes out. This is my first time looking at what the electrician did. First and foremost, he attached the ground to the wrong gas line. He put it on the line coming up from the ground into the meter. Next, instead of attaching it to the grounded pole that is right there in front of the water heater, he had drilled holes in the house and run copper piping from the gas line, about 10 feet around a corner to the electric meter ground. Infuriating. So, the inspector fails it again and after explaining the situation to my landlord she called the company and they promised to send someone out to fix it the same day. Whomever it was that came out to fix it didn't knock on the door or anything, they just moved where the copper ground was attached to the proper place. Cut to this past Monday where I had been told again that I didn't need to be there, this time for the inspector to come out. Turns out, he won't go into the gate without direct permission from the tenant or house owner. So Midway calls me again to reschedule for him to come out the next day with me there this time. They are supposed to call me back to let me know what part of the day the inspector would be coming. They never call me back. The next morning I try to call them starting at just after 7:00 am when they open and it only ever goes to voicemail, but the mailbox is full so I can't even leave a message. After about 2 hours of this, I call in to work because I don't want to miss the inspector and I don't know when he's supposed to be there. I get in touch with the city of Clearwater only to find out that the inspector had gotten permission from my landlord and came back out the day before and everything was completed. Midway did call me later that day stating they saw they had a missed call from my number, but the damage had been done.

Very disappointed would not honor special for 59.00 for AC tune up that was online. Would not do any business with them. This has no expiration date on it. How could you trust a company that advertises something they do not honor it.

Way too expensive. My fridge was leaking from the water valve where the hookup is. They came out and gave me a quote of $620.00 - that is with a 10% discount. I said no way would I pay that much. I called my appliance repairman and he gave me the name of Don's Plumbing. It cost me $109.00. Do not use them - they overcharge!!!

DO NOT USE GOR YOUR A/C OR HEATING INSTALLATION. They installed a new A/C and Heating unit in my condo 0n 3/30/18. The county electrical inspector disconnected and RED Tagged the unit as improper and unsafe to use. This company did not attach any ground wires to the unit and then installed an over powered fuse to the unit. This company claims 24 hour service...that is pure and simply not true...After 5 pm you will get an answering service that takes a message and says they will call un the morning. That is not being open 24 hours. I zm sorry I gave this FAKE AC Company my money and many referrala over the past few weeks. If you want to put your personal property and family at risk then this is the company for you.

I had Midway Services come out due to one outdoor outlet that was not working. The outlet had been installed by Midway less than 15 months prior. The first problem came when I was told that it was not within the 2 year warranty period. After a math lesson and a second phone call to the office I was told that because their records were not clear they couldn't guarantee that was the outlet they replaced. After more discussion, they reluctantly agreed to honor the warranty. The tech, who told me he had only been doing this for 4 months, spent over an hour walking around my house in and out and climbing through my attic only to tell me that now he found multiple outlets that were not functioning. He said it was a more serious problem and he needed to come back another time with another tech. I couldn't understand why one outlet turned into a major electrical problem so I expressed my disbelief. After extended discussion, he asked if the outlets had switches. Amazingly within 30 seconds my major electrical problem disappeared and he was able to fix the one outlet that originally didn't work. Would have all been funny except he told me I owed him $199 because he fixed the """"major electrical problem"""".
