Had first fall maintenance on unit. All went well as so I thought. Few hours later unit was not working. Called for assistance and someone came out to tell me that thermostat needed to be replaced. Paid close to 300 to have that resolved. Next tried to used unit and it still was not working. Called for assistance and the same person came out to tell me that the unit was low on freon (or some liquid it needed to keep running). Paid close to 300 to have that resolved. Upon completion of this, the technician informed me that I might have a leak and it will cost close to 600 to do and another questionable fee once leak has been located. Basically at some point the unit will stop running again. Why weren't any of these red flags notice during maintenance check. I feel like I am being taken advantage of.

I paid for an annual maintenance contract with this company last year on the advice of a neighbor who worked there. When the employee came to perform maintenance on my two hvac systems he literally did nothing. I gave him furnace filters which I had purchased and asked him to replace the filters while he performed his ""maintenance"". He didn't even do that. He merely left the new filters on top of the hvac units. I called to complain and said I didn't want to continue my relationship with them even though I had paid for the whole year, I didn't want my 2nd visit, I was told I had to write a letter explaining my reasons. I just gave my reasons over the phone. Today, I received a bill for another year. When I called, I was told again that I had to send them a letter to cancel or they would mark my account ""delinquent"". At this point I am feeling harassed by this company. They can keep the money I have already paid them for services they never performed, all I want is for them to leave me alone.

I haven't had a working heat pump since January 6th and now it's February 25th. There has been a problem getting my part that is under warranty. Between January 6th and now they have never called me to tell me the status of my part. Every time I call, I get a new date and a new story. In the past two weeks I have been promised the CEO would call me and he had my number. Guess when he called me? SPOILER ALERT! He still hasn't called! You might be saying to yourself, well it's January and February, those are some cold months. It must be pretty cold in your house. Well guess what...it is! We've been running purely on emergency heat this whole time and that isn't cheap. I am only leaving this review to see if this is another way to get through to them and maybe save someone else from a similar fate. It is beyond ridiculous that I have to call them to check the status on what they are supposed to be fixing.

I manage a retail location and Midlothian Mechanical was hired by my GC to do a complete inspection of an old HVAC unit to make sure it was in good working order before I took occupancy of the space. They did not complete the inspection nor did they tell me or my contractor for the reason. But they took my money as if they did. The first time I turn on the heat it doesn't work. I called and they came out only to tell me the gas was not metered. Would have been nice to know that months earlier. Of course they billed for that trip. Gas was metered and they came back because the heat was still not working and they found a problem with the unit. Would have been nice to know that months earlier. Of course they billed me again for the trip and labor. Now I've been billed 3 times for work that should have been done the first time and paid for by my landlord before I took occupancy. I signed up for the service agreement and they serviced the unit. Of course I was billed for that. The first time we turned on the AC after the service call, it doesn't work. Called them and they said I had a faulty contactor. Would have been nice to know that months earlier or right after the service call, but no. Of course I was billed for that as well. I called several times to dispute the issue and billing and was told they would check into the problems and get back to me. No calls. I called again, no calls. My location having to be closed due to excess cold and heat has cost me dearly. Tried resolving losses and excess billing in small claims court and they lawyered up on me and had it moved to general district court. Did anyone from the company care to call me to figure out why I was so upset? Like the owner? No but their attorney certainly did. I ultimately dropped the issue because I'd rather share my story so others don't use their service and experience what I went through.
I agree with what a previous reviewer said ""So Midlothian Mechanical may be fine for home service, but business owners should look elsewhere.""

Technican was very knowledgeable and did good work, but charged 568 dollars for a 30 mins of work. Outrageous

This business provided me with my service and installed a new unit at my old residence, and did a fair job. However, when I moved and called to cancel my contract, they continued to bill me my monthly contract fee for 5 months in a row. I called REPEATEDLY, speaking to various individuals who promised a refund and promised to discontinue billing me, yet this never happened. No refund. And another monthly bill. FOR FIVE CONSECUTIVE MONTHS. I asked to speak to the owner, Kevin Kirsh, on multiple occasions, and he never came to the phone or returned my calls. Is Kevin the wizard from Oz behind the green curtain? I just got off the phone with yet another employee who promises to cut me a check and resolve this issue. Fingers crossed!!!
