Jeff did a great job explaining the issue (ended up being very minor) and did not charge me for the service or call. I would recommend Michael's for their knowledge and friendliness!!

I wanted to alert others concerning the dishonest practice that was attempted on my family and I. We had a situation where the upstairs plumbing backed up, causing the ceiling to leak downstairs, I called this company, the representative (Jason) that came over really didn't do a lot of inspection, stated this issue happen to him and that it would be a $5000 job, he stated it would be $788 to just snake the drains upstairs to unblock the blockage. I paid the the $788 and this issue started back up 2 days later. Sensing that I needed another opinion, I called a reputable plumbing company, they came over did the proper inspection, and stated issue was just a loose ring around one of the toilets, they properly unstopped the blockage and snaked the drains, for a total price of a $100!!! I explained to them what this company quoted me to fix the issue , they couldn't believe it and were embarrassed, We haven't had a issue in over a month since this was fixed. I promptly called this company, spoke with a representative of the company to get a refund of my $788, I even stated I would pay the service fee, never heard from them again. If I can help one person, with this post, my $788 would not have been in vain, I hope this helps, please don't let your desperation be a motivator, if this company quotes you a price, please GET A SECOND OPINION!!!

My first encounter with Michaels was several years ago. I like the plumbers that provided the service, so well I cooked them lunch! Pleased with their job I prepaid them $ 286.00 to replace shower parts. Life happened and we never completed the job, that is until I wrote a review. A plumber was dispatched to do the job they were paid to do. I commend them for honoring their contract. The problem is that the plumber failed to put in an access door leaving the children's clothes venerable to critters that lurk in the crawl space. When asked if he was going to close the hole in the wall he stated, ""No that's her responsibility."" Really and access door that the company can probably get for $5.00 and I can purchase for $17.00, which is what is going to happen, now to find someone to install it!!! The new knobs are pretty but not secured to the wall, I guess I need to secure them!!!! Someone from the company has left several let messages asking that I rate them a 5 since the job was done! Doing a job just to say it was done, and doing a great job are different!!! Yes, if the job was done well I wouldn't hesitate to give a rating of 5!!! Thank you for making the repair, but take pride in your work. Do the best job no matter the cost and great reviews shall follow!

I hired Michael's Plumbing to fix a toilet that was constantly running. After they performed the initial repairs on 02/13/2018 (replacing various parts) the problem persisted. My tenant called them and they returned twice but the problem was not fixed. My tenant and I called at least 5 times and no one called us back until I posted negative reviews. After that, someone called and advised that the toilet is old and can't be repaired and they would replace it with a newer model toilet at no additional cost. They apologized for the failure to communicate this information. The new toilet was installed on 04/28/2018 and so far it is working great.

Water heater went out - called a couple places, but Michaels was able to get us an appointment same-day.

Ryan showed up and it was about 50/50 on whether it was repairable or needed to be replaced. He was great about explaining what was going on and keeping me in the loop.

It was not a simple fix and I feel like a lot of people would have thrown in the towel and just said it was busted, but he stuck with it and was able to get it going again.

We appreciated his effort a lot. We will definitely be calling him again.

You'd think that it is a plumbing company's responsibility to complete the job they have agreed to do, especially if it's well within their abilities to do so. Unfortunately, that's not my experience with this company.

I was trying to sell my house, and I wanted to replace a part of my shower's plumbing. Very easy to get to, as I had installed access panels a month prior. They agreed to do it, and said it would be maybe two hours tops. To their credit, the tech and his trainee arrived within the window given to me, and completed the work in about two hours. They even fixed the issue!

But when I came in to check on the job they did, they had installed an entirely new shower spigot and faceplate which was entirely unnecessary and unrelated to the job I had hired them for. Now, I don't appreciate being conned into paying for something I didn't order, but this next part is even worse than that. They left a large gap between the plate and the tub surround, which would have leaked water all down the inside of the walls and caused untold water damage and mold. When confronted with this, the guy told me, to my face, that he doesn't caulk anything. He doesn't seal them up properly. He's a damned plumber! He's essentially saying, ""I'm done for today, you finish up. I got you 80% of the way there, that's good enough. Oh, and also pay me extra for the new spigot I gave you.""

Imagine an elderly woman orders and receives the same job as I did. Sure, she might catch on to the fact that they added in an unnecessary part and made her pay for it. But she certainly wouldn't be able to CAULK HER SHOWER. Now Nana has to live with mold and rot.

Congratulations, Michael's Plumbing. You hired incompetent, lazy techs. Worse than that, he was teaching the new guy to be lazy and incompetent. And similarly, to another reviewer here, the guy refused to give me a breakdown of costs. Gimme a break.

I hired Michael's plumbing to fix a leak in the second floor bathroom of a condo that leaked through to the ceiling on the first floor. We don't live in this condo so I have to travel over an hour to get there and then just sit there to wait for them. They give a two hour window. The first time they came out they didn't call me until thirty minutes after the 2 hour window, then another 30 minutes and they came. They stayed 30 minutes so I was out two hours travel time, three hours of wait time, a half hour while they were there. They were polite enough. After they left I patched the ceiling (another hour of my time) . However, the next time we came to the condo, it was still leaking and the ceiling was ruined again. So I called them again to come out. This time they said they would be there between 9 and 11, but didn't come until 2. So, another two hours drive time five hours of waiting time, a half hour for them to ""fix"" it and once again, I patched the ceiling (another hour of my time) and it still leaks, ruining the ceiling once again. I called them again last Friday and they said they couldn't come until Tuesday between noon and two. It's now 2:15 and I haven't heard from them despite having called twice and left messages. So, another two hours drive time plus two plus hours of waiting time and I am no closer to getting the leak fixed than before I called them the first time.

I am cutting my losses and going to hire another plumber. Michael's obviously has enough business that they don't feel that they need to fix things the first (or even second) time, and they obviously have no respect whatsoever for my time. I will just have to pay someone else to repair their work. Very disappointing.

Update, they finally called me on my way home. Said my appointment was Wednesday, not Tuesday. Fine, except my wife was listening to me when I called them and said Tuesday.

I've already paid them to do the work, but I now have close to twenty hours of time that I took away from my work and other things to be there for agreed upon appointments that they disregarded. They were pretty cavalier about it as well. I have no confidence whatsoever that they can fix it, or that they will magically start being respectful of my time. I'll take my chances and pay someone else to fix their work. I simply don't have time to work with Michael's.

Nice guys who seemed to know what they were doing but YIKES! Two hours of work to repair a hot water heater invoiced at $742.67. And they would not provide a breakdown of costs. According to my online research, materials were about $50 so they charged roughly $350 an hour. Never again. I would consider this a ripoff.

Great service. Friendly, courteous and professional. We had a hot water heater leak discovered at 9am and they had it replaced and finished by 9am the next day. Best price in town, too! Our plumber, Michael, was super nice and knowledgeable. I will not hesitate to use them as my ""go to"" plumber. I'm so happy with their services! Oh, the best part is they do not try and ""up sell"" you like other plumbing companies in this town. You know...you call them to repair a leaky toilet and all at once they are telling you that you need a whole new toilet and pipe replacements...trying to sell you more than what you actually need. Or those $99 repair plans that you never actually use. I hate that when companies do that! Michael's comes out and repairs only what is actually the problem. I so love the fact that I can actually trust them to not try and upsell me. Thank you Michael's Plumbing! I hope I don't need you for a while but it's good to know that you are there! Don't change a thing!

I called them on Monday and they were scheduled to come out on Wednesday afternoon. They did not show or return my phone call, and I missed work from BOTH of my jobs.
