Great service and product! I appreciated Michael's flat fee rate and he built a workbench better than I could have imagined! I'm very happy with end product, it's incredibly sturdy and was a difficult build as my floor is uneven. Highly suggest him for any carpentry and handyman jobs! He even cleaned up afterwards.

We inquired for Michael regarding various items for repair at our rental property. He went out to the property and then charged a ridiculously high amount before clarifying with us first his charges. He did not properly fix everything on the list and the painting was sloppy. That was disappointment because we had used him two other times for smaller projects. Every time we used him he was prompt to respond however then he would be really pushy to get paid immediately and he would never clean up after himself and said that wasn't included in his quoted rate. I do not trust this guy, he is in it for a quick buck, not for doing right for the customer for the long haul. Be careful if you don't get a clear quote with him ahead of time or he is then says the project turned out to be more complicated so tries to charge more. And you have more than a couple of items needed be careful because he is very disorganized and gets sloppy trying to be really fast all of the time. He does not have a form receipt but just texts or emails quotes only.

After reading so many positive reviews, I had high hopes that Michael would be able to complete the project at my home - resealing my deck and doing some drywall work. He sent me a quote ($580 for the patio and $75 for drywall repair) and I asked him for a breakdown of the charges. The following is the exact text exchange:

Me: What's the breakdown of your bill? Materials and labor?

Michael: $580.00 For the patio floor and $75.00 Patch the walls
Total: $655.

Me: No, the breakdown of the patio floor. Labor vs. materials cost?

Michael: I don't have a breakdown I gave you a price for labor and material if that is not enough for you I cannot help you I'm sorry good luck

Me: Sorry, I was not intending to offend. Just curious as to what terials cost and how many of hours of labor the job might need.

Michael: Be safe and good luck.

I found his answers to be unprofessional at best and shady at worst. I think any contractor should be able to give a breakdown of their expenses, if the expenses are REASONABLE. Even if it's just an estimate. I was very disappointed in this interaction.

Prompt, efficient, reasonably priced. Michael of Michael's Construction did an outstanding job resolving fitment problems with two interior French doors and replacing the thresholds on two doors leading into my garage and home.

Michael knows his stuff. He's very, very good at what he does, which is just about anything other than taming a Javelina roaming in your backyard.

Friendly, professional and incredibly responsive. He answered my initial call immediately. Responded with a time to do the work within 1 hour and arranged to do the work one-day ahead of schedule.

What more can you ask for? Nothing! Well.. almost nothing. Don't ask Michael to paint as that is something he doesn't offer.

I contacted Michael to do some repairs around my house before putting it up for sale. I was very pleased with the response time. Michael came out a day later, gave me estimates and options, and promptly showed up when he said he would to do the job. Michael did what we asked him to do, install porch light, ceiling fan, swapping interior doors, and even found a roof tile replacement within one day. He did all these things with pride in his workmanship. Best of all, he reminds me of a Randy Quaid character, but far more capable of doing a great job for you. Was very respectful, compassionate, and honest which is hard to find nowadays. Installed window awnings on a difficult 2 story house. Purchased appropriate hardware rather than weekday was included in the kit. Very detail oriented. Noticed original home builder made balconies out of stucco with major water damage. Installed flat roofing appropriate enough to be a fumctinal balcony with water drainage. Top notch service. Thank you Michael and Justin.

Needed a quick job done so I could schedule a city inspection. Michael responded right away, and came on time the next day. He made the repairs that I requested, and another on his own for no additional charge. All in all, a great experience, and I recommend Michael's Construction for drywall repair. One other thing: some contractors would not have responded because the job was pretty small, so I commend Michael for quoting a fair price and giving great value.
