After reading so many positive reviews, I had high hopes that Michael would be able to complete the project at my home - resealing my deck and doing some drywall work. He sent me a quote ($580 for the patio and $75 for drywall repair) and I asked him for a breakdown of the charges. The following is the exact text exchange:

Me: What's the breakdown of your bill? Materials and labor?

Michael: $580.00 For the patio floor and $75.00 Patch the walls
Total: $655.

Me: No, the breakdown of the patio floor. Labor vs. materials cost?

Michael: I don't have a breakdown I gave you a price for labor and material if that is not enough for you I cannot help you I'm sorry good luck

Me: Sorry, I was not intending to offend. Just curious as to what terials cost and how many of hours of labor the job might need.

Michael: Be safe and good luck.

I found his answers to be unprofessional at best and shady at worst. I think any contractor should be able to give a breakdown of their expenses, if the expenses are REASONABLE. Even if it's just an estimate. I was very disappointed in this interaction.

Prompt, efficient, reasonably priced. Michael of Michael's Construction did an outstanding job resolving fitment problems with two interior French doors and replacing the thresholds on two doors leading into my garage and home.

Michael knows his stuff. He's very, very good at what he does, which is just about anything other than taming a Javelina roaming in your backyard.

Friendly, professional and incredibly responsive. He answered my initial call immediately. Responded with a time to do the work within 1 hour and arranged to do the work one-day ahead of schedule.

What more can you ask for? Nothing! Well.. almost nothing. Don't ask Michael to paint as that is something he doesn't offer.

I contacted Michael to do some repairs around my house before putting it up for sale. I was very pleased with the response time. Michael came out a day later, gave me estimates and options, and promptly showed up when he said he would to do the job. Michael did what we asked him to do, install porch light, ceiling fan, swapping interior doors, and even found a roof tile replacement within one day. He did all these things with pride in his workmanship. Best of all, he reminds me of a Randy Quaid character, but far more capable of doing a great job for you. Was very respectful, compassionate, and honest which is hard to find nowadays. Installed window awnings on a difficult 2 story house. Purchased appropriate hardware rather than weekday was included in the kit. Very detail oriented. Noticed original home builder made balconies out of stucco with major water damage. Installed flat roofing appropriate enough to be a fumctinal balcony with water drainage. Top notch service. Thank you Michael and Justin.

Needed a quick job done so I could schedule a city inspection. Michael responded right away, and came on time the next day. He made the repairs that I requested, and another on his own for no additional charge. All in all, a great experience, and I recommend Michael's Construction for drywall repair. One other thing: some contractors would not have responded because the job was pretty small, so I commend Michael for quoting a fair price and giving great value.

Michael was prompt in answering my yelp inquiry and showed up during time quoted.
The job was to have 2 vessel sinks replaced from 2 existing vessel sinks. Simple but I didn't have the right tools so opted to pay someone to do it.
I am pretty picky and Michael made sure I was happy in the end. He originally finished the job in the morning but the were sinks weren't sitting flat on the counter and it bothered me. I messaged Michael later during the day and he came back that afternoon/evening and reinstalled the sinks to my satisfaction. I appreciate his customer service and prompt responses.

Michael was such a great find! It's difficult to find professional support for small but important home repair. He replied to my request quickly and came the very next morning.

Michael replaced all weather stripping in two sets of french doors and brought our garage-to-kitchen door up to code. The main entry doors are very old, wooden doors, and a treasure to us -- Michael was very careful with them and made adjustments to his work to be sure the doors maintained their original look. They close perfectly without a single gap or blemish.

While he was here, I asked about another door that never closed properly -- he offered to fix it on the spot and was clear about pricing. It finally works!

Michael will do whatever it takes to be sure you're pleased with the work so just ask -- I'm so glad I did!
