For more than four decades, Michael & Son has delivered HVAC, plumbing, and electrical solutions to Alexandria, VA, and its surroundings. As a family-owned business, we offer a diverse range of solutions for homeowners and businesses alike. We employ skilled plumbers and technicians known for their reliability and efficiency. From a broken pipe to an AC that won’t cool or a furnace that’s not warming, our specialists will get it right the first time.
The inception of Michael & Son came from my father, Mousa ""Mike"" Mansour, alongside my mother, Siham ""Suzi"". With a common immigrant background, my father left school to support his family and began his electrical education at twelve. After moving to America in 1968, he worked as a union electrician during the day and took on side jobs at night and on weekends. Since I was six, I joined my father on Saturdays, during school holidays, and throughout summer breaks. I cherished the time spent with him and the bond we shared. My father, though not affluent, enriched my life with experiences and instilled in me essential technical skills and values. He instilled in me the importance of being a man of integrity. I attribute my success to my parents.

I had a leaky garbage disposal that was leaking into my basement ceiling. I called several companies but no one could come out at night.
I called Michael and Sons, which I had used before. They told me they could get someone there soon but it would cost me $160.00.
I wasn't thrilled at the amount but needed service.
When the tech arrived, he looked at the garbage disposal and told me I needed a new one. The one that I had was only a few years old.
I had been experiencing slow water drainage so weeks. He told me he would look at that after.
He started looking at replacement disposals. The bottom of the line disposal which came with no warranty was going to be $900.00!!!!
The next one would cost $1300 and would come with a 3 year warranty..Shouldn't any product installed come with a warranty?
While he went to the truck to get the disposal, I googled prices. Disposais ranged in price from $150.00 to $900.00. The disposal he was going to use was $150.00!!! He was charging me $900.00 + $160.00 for the evening visit.
When I approached him about the price, his comment was "" well, everyone needs to be paid""
After installing the disposal, he didn't kid me the sink would have to be snaked, abd I would have to wait until Thursday for someone to come.
He had the nerve to try to sell me a service plan.
if I paid $198.00 a year, he would discount the price of the disposal by$90.00.
I was shocked, I asked him so I can spend $198 a year to save $90.00.. That is beyond ctazy.
I don't know if I was scammed because I was a single woman in the house..
MICHAEL AND SONS ARE THEIVES AND CRIMINALS..
I plan on going on any social media I can to warn people of this unacceptable business practice..

Heather A.I was charged $150 for a furnace check up and for them to change my filter with my own filter that I bought. Don't believe the commercials. Definitely not using this company again.
We had no ac when he arrived but we did have heat. Now we have neither. Called back to rescedule but decided to go with another company.
Terrible customer service....did not leave the work space as he found it and did not explain the options to replace a filter! Overall poor service! Definitely wouldn't recommend
Ken K.It took 3 technician's and two days to replace a single part. Multiple phone calls after first technician left saying he can't fix it and saying he will send a plumber. Two hours later no plumber. Called M&S and receptionist told me it would be an after hours charge of $175. I said have supervisor call me. No call so I called another M&S in leesburg talked to nice lady who sent someone out but once again he didn't have the part. Finally a third technician was sent out the next day and fixed the problem promptly. Took only 30 minutes! Kudos to Raymond Roberts ! Why didn't M&S let me send a picture of the part like I first said ? All this time wasted and still a $500 - oh $125 discount until I complained to supervisor then discount $300 which started at 800! I was informed $200 was for county inspection. Plus my tenant had to take off work two times. Come on MIchael and Sons you guys can do better than this ! And this was for an inside the house propane leak! Never again.
Rod B.When our Tuesday started out with no water pressure, Micheal & Son were able to send a plumber out later that day. Eric spent multiple hours ruling out all the possible causes, keeping us informed of his progress at each step of the way. When he determined the cause was a failed well pump, he provided a worst case estimate and explained how it might be lower than that, depending on the state of the pipe to the pump. He returned early Wednesday morning with Joe and the two of them worked hard to get our well pump replaced, despite extremely cold temperatures. We were impressed by how friendly, motivated, and knowledgeable both Eric and Joe were. We recommend Michael & Son highly.
Had 2 units serviced for the cold weather. Wonderfull service! Highly recommend.

Lauren D.Our plumbing technician Eric Kang was extremely helpful and efficient. He really took the time to understand the problem before confidently explaining the replacement he would need to perform. He had everything he needed already with him and replaced multiple pipelines as well as the pressure gage that was causing the issue. Thrilled with the immediate fix. (Our water pressure had dropped so low we couldn't even shower and the hot water would run out within minutes.)
Michael & sons sent him out the same day that I called for service and Eric was extremely punctual.
Came to around $800 which was worth it and honestly unavoidable. It's not always fun being a homeowner but it makes it easier when you truly get great service and an ongoing issue is finally resolved.
Danielle D.Connor was Wonderful! He went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I understood what the problem was, and even took it a step further to reassure me (as I was the one having panic issues about the potential for a repeat flood. I had another company install a water softener only 5 years ago and it failed miserably, this after having 25K in repairs done due to. Dishwasher failure.) I was weary and still trying to deal with a power surge to our home. So when I saw some dripping of water from our new tank I panicked and called. Connnor came out no questions asked and made sure the value was tightened all the way. (It says hand tighten, but I was afraid to touch it) Conner put a water sensor next to the tank to alleviate my nerves. Seriously the customer service with Michael and Sons is astonishing in today's service industry. They take pride in their work and they ONLY use the best materials. Only copper to copper. Had the first company did that, the pvc would not have snapped and the top blow off of our system. It would have saved us a lot of expense and anxiety. Thank you Connor and Thank you Bill (Michael and Sons) Also, I owned a property management company and I know good service people, these were the only ones to answer their phone on Thanksgiving Saturday.....
We recently purchased a service plan from Michael & Son. Connor performed the plumbing inspection and identified all of the plumbing issues. He provided an estimate to repair them, which seemed reasonable. Then, amazingly, he said he could get the equipment (including a new hot water heater, a new toilet and odds & ends for other issues) and finish everything that day. He did exactly what he promised, and the quality of his work was superb. I wish all home repair people took as much pride in their work as Connor. We were really impressed.
