Ineke S.Called Michael & Sons on a Sunday late morning when our A/C stopped working after a power outage. They gave us a time window of 12 noon to 6pm and Juan arrived before 3pm.
He was polite and professional, covered his shoes before coming inside. He patiently explained what he was doing at every step of the process and answered every one of our questions in a respectful and thorough manner.
Turns out our capacitor was blown, and we also had the unit cleaned for good measure. Unfortunately, the replacement part was quite expensive ($350 - result of tariffs maybe?) but other than that, we were very happy with the entire experience. Giving four stars because of the cost of the part, but Juan's service was 5-star.

We were having trouble with one of our toilets getting clogged and after trying to rectify the problem ourselves we called Michael and Son as we have a contract with them. Cesar called in the am and let us know when to expect him. When he got here he fixed the problem quickly and explained what had happened. He was great to work with and would highly recommend him. Lynne C.We have had 3 different technicians come to the house for a down air conditioner. With 2 babies at home and M&S lack of knowledge, this has caused 2 weeks of no air conditioning and an upset household. We waited 10 days for a compressor to be delivered only to told after it arrived that it was not the problem with yet a new technician. As of midnight on August 13, 2025 the Carrier system is down again. They are telling us Dimas, the last technician can't get to the house until this afternoon. Frank the manager has placated me this entire time. As a gold member, I've been treated like crap. 18 days and counting? M&S needs to install a new Carrier. why hasn't Carrier experts been brought in. The unit is only 2 years old. This service is a complete failure. where is upper managements call.?

Ignored my request for a refund on an estimate they were supposed to refund after I hired them to do the work.
Then after telling me they couldn't reimburse for repairs someone else made on their work, said he wanted to see more info from my contractor. Sure dude let me waste more of my time and that of a company that had to fix your inferior work.
Michael and Son's Customer Service sent timely updates regarding Douglas's, our technician, arrival. He arrived during the predetermined window. He reviewed his planned with me and got to work. He determined the problem and explained the next steps to fix the issue.
Had a Friday night toilet leaking emergency. Called a few places, but Michael & So. were the group that could be there the quickest. Jason was an exceptional technician. He arrived earlier than we expected and got right to work. He knew what he was doing, and when he left everything was back to normal. My gripe is in the price. I was quoted $149 for the emergency call, which was to be applied to the repair. Great, no problem. Total cost for removing the toilet and unclogging the pipes beneath (snaking didnt work; and Im told it was a substantial clog), was $1,100. This was for 2.5 total hours of work. Maybe I'm just cheap, but that feels crazy for a repair that doesn't even include a new toilet! The internet tells me these types of repairs should cost $200-600, so I was prepared to pay around $750-800 with the time of day. But $1,100 was an eye opener.
I was having issues with my air conditioning and called Michael and Son to come take a look. The technician incorrectly diagnosed the issue and proceeded to recommend a whole system replacement at a cost in the $18,000 range. I told him I'd need to get a second opinion before committing to that kind of expenditure. I brought in a second company and they correctly diagnosed the problem and had me up and running in 30 minutes. Moral of the story: Always, always, always get a second (or third) opinion. Personally I'd advise getting an opinion from a company that doesn't spend a fortune on advertising.
James w.Stay away from this company. I called them to fix my air conditioner they came two days later took the air conditioner apart and told me I needed a new fan. They said it would take them between a week and a month to get the part. I could not wait that long in the heat of the summer so I ordered the part myself received it in one day. Michale sons refuse to install it. Left me in a terrible situation. Stay away!
Solved in 15 minutes and have A/C back working.
