Michael and son is ridiculously expensive! They overcharge or hike their prices up for everything that they do. I was charged $550 for a water heater diagnostic test. Crazy.?

The guys that came out were professional and seemed to know what they were doing but I was charged just over $500 to replace 2 outlets. They tried to get me to replace all of them in the room.

The constant attempt to upsell was so annoying, Just do what i called about. I received 3 quotes i didn't ask for along with a follow up email to set up appointments for the quotes.

My AC was not working and they were able to come out the fastest of all the companies I called. I was told that I need a new compressor along with potentially a few other components. My system is only 2 years old so the parts would be under warranty, but the labor was going to cost me between 3k-5k.

I got a second opinion and all of those components are perfectly fine, but the unit is a little low on 410a. The second tech found where Michael and Sons had tampered with my condenser unit in order to get the failed readings on their equipment.

UPDATE: Customer Service reached out to me to let me know they would refund the $89 diagnostic fee if I would delete this review.

Everything was good until they tried to bully us into replacing our downstairs HVAC by stating they no longer provided the R22 freon it required. I am not replacing a HVAC unit that is still working!! When I told the technician we had another company that had the R22 freon available and could do it for us I was told the care plan would be voided if another company touched MY hvac! Although, this had not been done they still canceled my care plan. I no longer recommend this company and after thinking about it they actually did me a favor. Good Luck if you decide to do business with them.

It's been five days and I haven't received a receipt on the repairs. I don't know how my pounds of freon was use and know other findings on the repair.
