I have never used their service and never will since they don't seem to care about people in general on Memorial day weekend my family was driving through Prince Frederick and one of their Drivers was in a turning lane and had to merge over , we could not see his blinker as we were further up then that so we assumed since he is in the turning lane he was turning nope so he tried to Run us off the road ,we honked out horn and he STILL tried to ram us and then once he got over he proceded to drive near us and roll down his window asking us if we knew how to drive , we were in shock and called them a immediately gave them his Truck # 1304 and even asked for a manager to call back ! Here we are almost 2 weeks out and No call very Disrespectful! So that is why i give them a BIG FAT 000000 for Customer Service! We just expected common Decency to call back and acknowledge what happened and it would be handled

Never, ever again! I had a pipe leaking through my kitchen ceiling. The plumber from Michael & Sons came and gave me a quote of over $200 for just tearing through my kitchen ceiling to locate the drip up above - one of those holes included a bunch of horrible looking marks where he attempted to pick through the drywall but gave up. We located the drip, and he gave me another estimate of $950 to replace the pipe that was dripping behind the shower knob in the bathroom above. The bathroom that I just finished remodeling in the Fall. This guy didn't have any of the supplies that he needed on his truck, so he had to run up to Home Depot. This struck me as odd since it looked to be basic pipes that all my other plumbing companies kept in stock on their trucks! When he returned, he spent 2 hours replacing the pipe and a shower fixture that he said needed to be replaced.... then he told me that i needed one of those small industrial wall utility doors to get access to the new hot and cold shut off valves that he had installed. WHAT??!!! I never had those valves before.... I am very angry as this will absolutely ruin the aesthetics of my bathroom!! But it doesn't end there. Before he left, he told me that the toilet in the bathroom was clogged. He told me that he can unclog it for an additional $175 dollars! I went up there with a plunger and got the job done myself. My daughter who uses that bathroom said that the toilet wasn't clogged before she left the house that day. Not going to accuse anyone of anything, but it's a little odd. All of this cost me over $1161 and that doesn't include dry wall repair that I will have to get. I am sure I could have gotten this much cheaper elsewhere.... but elsewhere i will go the next time i need a plumber.

After returning from my sister's funeral last night we noticed a huge flood in our basement. Come to find out the hot water heater was shot. Woke up early and called Michael and Son and Victor arrived promptly and replaced the whole unit within hours. I am so pleased with the workmanship and speed and professionalism of Victor Gomez. I'll be a customer for life!!

Avoid this company at all costs. You'll save yourself headaches, time, and money. Our heat pump was broken (no a/c) so we called Michael & Sons. The tech they sent out began by trashing his own company. He said that Frederick County where we live was ""dead to them."" How nice, right? During our get acquainted chat he also said Michael & Sons was expensive. That sure turned out to be true.

Right away, he then shoved his tablet in my face where I was asked to sign a multipage form full of legalese--and this was just for their $89 diagnostic fee. Like a boob I did.

This nightmare of a tech then misdiagnosed our issue (as I later found out). When I called Michael & Sons to tell them about this wonderful experience, they said they would send out their ""best tech"" the next day. This new guy was even worse because he wound up costing us $400, and of course, didn't fix our heat pump. In fact, he apparently burned out our transformer. (It was working fine before he came.) He left by saying ""Michael & Sons doesn't service equipment that they didn't install."" How crazy is that? Of course, Michael & Sons would accept no responsibility for the burned-out transformer. The next day I called Metro Services HVAC in Silver Spring. As I'll detail in a different review they were as fantastic as Michael & Sons was horrible. I have no connection to either company, so please believe me when I say Michael & Sons is your worst nightmare, whereas Metro provided the service you pray you will get when you call a contractor.

Please note Michael and Sons has ""offices"" everywhere. Please make sure you read the reviews from the office with whom you'll be dealing.

We had a leak in our bathtub that was starting to really pour. We called late morning, and they had someone out by mid-afternoon. Victor made short work of the leak, fixing it in probably less than 20 minutes. He even gave me a tutorial, talking me through how to do it - and no doubt I'll have to do it on the other bathtub sooner or later, since it's just as old! Was great working with Victor, and we can easily recommend working with Michael and Son. We'll definitely call back if we have future plumbing issues.

I had a slow draining shower downstairs saw the commercials for 99 bucks clean drains. One drain cleaned 300.Bucks OK interesting! Then change a shower head and broke off inside the wall said he will send someone else out that's better at fixing this. Never heard from them again I came home and fixed his screw up after my twelve hour day. The commercials are nice but questionable service and work ethics.

I will never use Michael & Sons. They sent a professional out to give me a quote to replace my kitchen sink with a new one that I purchased. The quote was $1,750. The cost of the parts are probably less than $50, so that's $1,700 in labor for a job another plumber told me should take between 2 - 3 hours. Plus, they charged me $64 for the estimate. Outrageous!

Wish I had read these reviews before calling these shysters. Called for a gas issue and was told that for $69 someone would come out, do a diagnostic, and then quote us on the repair.

Dude walked into my house, took out a flashlight, looked at the lines for about 45 seconds, then told me it would be $239.99 to actually do any testing. When I started to dispute the situation, the technician became extremely condescending, and downright nasty, and wouldn't leave my home when asked.

Called the company to pay my tab and to request a call from a manager, but two days later I haven't heard anything, and doubt I will. I've never wasted $69 so fast in my life.

It took 3 full days for the plumber to come out after days of promises and no-shows. We had a 4' drain snaked, and they charged $670!!! We were fully taken advantage of. In addition, we simply needed maintenance on an industrial fawcett and were quoted $2,000+ parts. Dishonest and unreliable... avoid at all costs. Sincerely wish I had checked reviews before being taken advantage of.

So I had a heat pump air conditioning unit installed in June during the during the better part of the heat wave cost me $7000 of air conditioning works great as I start to get colder I noticed that there was no real heat are in the house so I started about three weeks group 34 weeks ago calling Michael and sons trying to get them out here at first I was told that I did not have a service contract in Michael And Sons so they weren't coming out then they made an appointment to come out but never showed up and then last week at the beginning of last week I called and I explained that was going on I had a contract I signed a contract it gives me 10 year warranty 10 year parts and labor everything else they told me that I did not have a service I did not have a service warranty so it was up to the company that I finance the unit through which I called them they told me it was on Michael and sons Michael and sons told me it was on them call them again they told me they would get on it and get somebody out here never happened so here it is beginning the week I finally called again to Michael and sons they finally got somebody out here today Monday morning and come to find out when they installed the unit they forgot to hook up a few things like the the part that switches from cool to heat automatically forgot to hook that up then the guys going through the whole system and they rewired it wrong then what they didn't tell me was a thermostat that I bought brand new had to be set at quite a different setting becauseThe unit that I purchased didn't wasn't set up for the right what was the thermostat instructions told me it would be it was different than everybody else is in the universal so that was wrong the guy spent about an hour and a half here I am got everything working right now it looks like there's keep the house but I'll let you know but as far as Michael and sons is concerned make sure you get everything in writing from them and that you can you got something back yourself up because otherwise they're not responding to anything you want your money but they don't seem to want to be able to give you service that's all
