Serving Alexandria, VA, and the neighboring areas for 40 years, Michael & Son specializes in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services. We are a family-run company dedicated to providing a variety of services for both residential and commercial clients. Our team is made up of experienced plumbers and technicians who are dependable and effective. From a broken pipe to an AC that won’t cool or a furnace that’s not warming, our specialists will get it right the first time.
My father, Mousa ""Mike"" Mansour, founded Michael & Son, with my mother, Siham ""Suzi"", by his side. My father’s journey is a classic immigrant tale: he left school early to support his family and began learning the electrical trade at just twelve years old. Upon arriving in America in 1968, he became a union electrician by day and worked for clients during evenings and weekends. Starting at six years old, I spent Saturdays, school holidays, and summer vacations working alongside my father. The moments we shared were precious to me, and I appreciated the connection we had. My father, though not affluent, enriched my life with experiences and instilled in me essential technical skills and values. He emphasized the value of integrity and being true to my word. I attribute my success to my parents.

Byron took the time to check the furnace unit, explain the details of what he diagnosed and he did extensive safety checks to ensure the unit was safe to operate.

Jared C.We've been Michael & Son customers for almost a decade and we're also home care agreement members. Today was our annual heating inspection and I wanted to take a minute to say what an amazing technician we were assigned. Tim H. demonstrated a deep understanding of Carrier Infinity systems, going into the thermostat's service settings to have it run a system check prior to his inspection. That step is one I do not recall any other technician performing (usually I am just told to turn the heat on and raise it a few degrees to start the cycle). Tim also performed the most in-depth diagnostic and cleaning I have ever seen, and I always watch the process. Going forward, I will absolutely make sure that Tim H. performs my next AC inspection and then all subsequent annual inspections.
