My hot water heater was flooding. Mike came as quickly as he could, recommended a smaller unit that cost less but provides plenty of hot water, installed it quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up perfectly. He and his coworker were polite and gracious and wore masks. Mike is the kind of workman I'm always looking for, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I just wish he could fix everything that breaks.

Mike was fantastic! He's a great communicator and arrived right on time. Just as importantly, he did a fantastic job with a leak underneath our kitchen sink. He also pointed out a few other things that could be tweaked with our refrigeratorr drainage line.

Finally, we're thinking about a project to get water to a small backyard we have. We have solicited others, and Mike came up with the most efficient and cost-effective solution.

On top of all this, Mike is super pleasant and easy to talk to.

We will definitely be using Mike as our go-to plumber!

Michael is a first-rate professional. We had a drainage issue in our back garden - by no means a simple plumbing job. It was 4 full days of work and the quality of his work came through each day. Before the work even started, Michael made multiple site visits, worked/problem solved with our engineer, and presented us with a full work plan before starting. This is your guy if you want truly high quality plumbing work done by a professional. I interviewed multiple plumbing services before starting and it was clear from the onset Michael had (be far) the best expertise.

Oh and in the middle of all of this, our sink drain broke. That got fixed in about 15 minutes. So he is your guys for both larger contracting jobs and smaller, more day to day jobs.

I recently moved into a new apartment and discovered a leak in a pipe under my kitchen sink. I called Mike and he was able to come the very next day (a Saturday). He took all precautions in coming into my apartment during the pandemic, wearing a mask and gloves. He quickly and efficiently replaced the pipe, fixed a second leak that he found, and also tightened my kitchen faucet which was a little loose. He did an expert job, kept my kitchen clean, and charged a fair price. I can't recommend Mike Donahue more highly for any necessary plumbing work. I will certainly call him again if I have any other plumbing issues.

Our bath tub faucet had been dripping for a while, but had gotten worse. In addition, the drain to the tub was no longer sealing properly and wasn't keeping the water in the tub. Texted Mike. Since it wasn't an urgent job, we agreed for him to come a few days later. Mike came on time and wore a mask. He ran into a bit of snag with the repair and had to run out and get a new shower handle. But even with that, he was done in 2 hours. Everything works. He cleaned up after himself. He was polite and communicative. And his rate was reasonable. Would definitely use him again.

My moms toilets was during during covid. I contacted Michael to fix it based on the highly recommended yelp reviews. Michael was prompt to respond and showed up at the next day. He was very professional during covid times and fixed the issues while maintaing social distancing.

Recently purchased an older home in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. We were having new floors installed and needed to have our radiators removed and then reinstalled. We were referred to Mike by the flooring company (Verrazano). He coordinated with us and the flooring company. Came on time and did great work. While removing the radiators I talked to Mike about some concerns that I had about our older furnace/heating system. While there he inspected the system and two days later, when reinstalling the radiators, was able to service the system and upgrade all the older valves on the radiators to new more efficient ones. A week later we had Mike install a new programable digital thermostat which he took time to explain how to program. All work was resonably priced and quoated before any work was done.
Mike is very knowledgable and confident. He was able to make, what was for us (new home owners), a stressfull contstruction project easy and stress free. I would absolutely reccomend Michael Donahue Plumbing and Heating.
