Wish I would have read these reviews before these idiots came to my house. i Would have demanded AHS send someone else. Waited a week for them to look at my HVAC said they would be there between 8 and 12 he got here at 2:30 and spent 10 minutes looking at the issue. Told me I needed a new unit then I told him I called him about duct work!!! Showed up with no identifying name tag or uniform and a personal truck. This ""business "" sucks. Of course AHS wouldn't approve the work so after 2 weeks and numerous attempts at calling this place for the estimate I was promised I give up. Every time I called there was an excuse. How long does it take to write up an estimate to replace one section of duct work that had collapsed? This company should be out of business. I ended up replacing the duct work myself. PLEASE do not waste your time with these guys
All the other one star reviews have pretty much hit the nail on the head. We really need a no stars option. If like the rest of us your home warranty dispatches M&Holmes immediately request a different vendor. These con artists are happy to take your service fee and get out ASAP. In my case they looked at a leaking jetted tub. The two ""Technicians"" quickly determined the pump motor was leaking, stated the part(s) would be ordered and collected the service fee. Two weeks later I contacted M&Holmes and was informed the motor was on order and they would update me when received. Fast forward another ten days and still no communication. I called again, no answer and voice mail full so can't leave a message. Attempted to contact via their website and that message was not returned. I waited two days for an email response and called again. This time I get an answer and am told that no parts were ever ordered because ""we don't work on jetted tubs"". They claim that the warranty company was notified two days after the initial service call, and that no one said that parts had been ordered. I asked why the technicians never stated they didn't work on tubs as I wouldn't have paid a service fee if they couldn't work on the issue. The response was great... you will pay the service fee regardless. The only concern they have is collecting and leaving. I called 2-10 warranty and was told they were never informed that the tub wasn't repaired and had actually marked the job completed two weeks after the original service call. So now I have to wait for the warranty company and the con artists (contractors) to agree the repairs weren't made prior to receiving a service firm. It's been better than a month and still no action. Looks like I'll be contacting the BBB next.
Darrell S.Wow! After reading these reviews, I'm not sure what I'm getting into. My AC doesn't sound right, so I called AHS this morning. They assigned this company to check it out. I haven't heard from them yet, so I'll keep you posted. For now site unseen = 5 stars...
This company was assigned to us through 2 10 home warranty. As many others have said, the experience wasn't great and the issue wasn't fixed. I believe this company tries to scam warranty customers out of multiple service fees by trying ""small fixes"" that they know won't work before addressing the real issue. Because each trip to the home is considered a ""new issue"" (because it's a new part on the AC unit each time), the customer has to pay a set service fee each time- usually set by the warranty company. Thus, if they can come out multiple times and the fixes are smaller in cost to them than the allotted service fee, they are scamming these warranty users for profit. It's absolutely gross and they should be stopped. I'll be complaining to the BBB for sure.
Joseph V.The company sent Tom out to inspect my HVAC from a referral from American home shield. Tom cams and said that there was no existing duct to where I was looking at (even though there was a register there) and he would have to run new duct to get A.C in the room and it would be $500 out of pocket for me since the warranty did not cover it. I had AHS send out someone else who saw that the duct dropped and with 2 screws we had it up and running in 5 minutes. DO NOT USE THEM and if you do get a second opinion because they are very dishonest and crocked! I reported them to AHS and called them to let them know I did it!
My home warranty company sent this company out to service my AC. The person M & Holmes sent out was an older gentleman. The first thing he said to me was he had a heart condition and couldn't do any work in attics. Needless to say my AC was not fixed. When I contacted the warranty company and asked for them to send someone out to actually fix my unit they told me I had to stay with M & Holme. They canceled the 2nd appointment they scheduled and the technician never showed on the 3rd appointment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPAN!!! They have no respect for your time

American home shield had them come out for service repair in April. Her we are in late June and they said the part is just coming in! Scheduled to put part/ heating ac unit in for tuesday. The incompetent lady says she called another number and rescheduled, but i gave her my new number when i made initial appointment? I then called to complain to ahs and they called the lady/company.. who then lies and states she called my new number and rescheduled? What liars they have running this company! Let's see what happens on friday, which is so called rescheduled day. I am sooo pissed thus far!
Very unprofessional! if I could give them a 0 I would! I guess Michelle didn't wake up on the right side of the bed because she was very nasty ignorant and unprofessional..How do you get an attitude because a customer couldn't answer the phone?? my claim was submitted to them two weeks before they Even tried to contact me..not to mention .. thank God my home warranty had better options to offer because there's no way I would think of using them
This business will take a service fee and never come back out to finish the job. If you have 210 Home Insurance and they recommend this business, save yourself the headache and decline and ask for another company!
