This was not your typical plumbing job (leak, pluggage, replace-in-kind, etc.). I had a perfectly good water heater except for the fact that it was electric. My electricity bills were sky high and I wasn't happy about it, so I did some research and then requested a quote from Mark for a job to take out my electric heater, install a power-vented gas heater, and convert/run all the gas/water/flue gas ducting that was needed for the change. He was responsive by text message, came to walk out the job, gave me a fair quote (I got a quote from one other highly-rated plumber, they were in the same ball park), answered all my questions, and didn't push me towards something I wasn't looking for.

So I gave Mark the job, and he spent all day in my garage on a Saturday. The quality of his work was top notch and we had a great time just hanging out and talking throughout the day. The final product started up great on the first try and there were no leaks on any of the new joints/fittings.

It hasn't even been a week yet, but I have seen my electricity usage drop by half and my water is as hot as ever!

I called MFS on Friday afternoon at 2pm. Mark was at our house by 3:30. He was very knowledgable and explained everything. Although our problem was different then something he was equipped to do he recommended a few company's and also told me what they should charge me. He spent 2 hours trying to help us and would not take a penny. We begged him and he wouldn't have it. He was extremely wonderful and polite. I highly recommend him for his hard work and honesty.

Mark saved us from a world of freezing cold showers!! I can't say enough good things about him, really. We had numerous plumbers come out to try to fix our brand new water heater that would not work. He came out immediately and kept me posted on his plans through text the entire time. We had hot water that night! After a week of cold water and numerous plumbers telling us they couldn't help, Mark saved the day! Bottom line prices, on time, excellent work, extremely great to work with and thorough. You can't ask for more. He will absolutely be our go to from now on and he should be yours too! Oh, and bonus: he has an adorable puppy! ;)

I had an emergency plumbing issue this past Monday. The water heater went out. Mark came by the house and immediately assessed the situation and got on top of it. After buying a new heater he not only fixed that problem, he also fixed the toilet and the faucet. For a job that would have taken four to five hours, Mark finished in three. Mark Simpson SUPER PLUMBER saved my family's Christmas!

I recently purchased a condo in Santa Monica and this was going to be my first year hosting Christmas for my family. Everyone was scheduled to arrive on December 24th, and the night of the 23rd my hot water heater stopped working. It was 8pm and I needed to get the problem fixed immediately.

Craigslist has often been my go-to source for finding contractors, so I hopped on and saw an ad for MFS Plumbing. I made the call and was instantly impressed with Mark's friendly demeanor, Scottish accent, and enthusiasm for getting my problem solved. He arrived at my home within 25 minutes and quickly diagnosed the issue.

Mark gave me 3 options, clearly and concisely explaining not only what the issue was but how we could fix it.

He gave me a Fixed Price to Repair, Repair & Replace, and a New Installation. Given the age / condition of the water heater that I inherited with my condo, I decided to buy a new one from MFS and they gave me a 10 Year Tank Warranty in writing. The price was very reasonable.

I signed the Contract and Mark was back with a Tank in just a couple of hours. His Assistant covered my floors in protective pvc plastic sheeting, they all wore Boot Covers (nice touch) and removed my old heater safely and efficiently. Before I knew it they had the new tank in and all plumbing work complete. I had Hot Water within 60 minutes of the guys leaving and was delighted from start to finish.

Sunday evening I came home from a dinner and was quickly greeted by a leaking living room ceiling. A pretty horrible ending to an otherwise pleasant weekend. I suppose I should consider myself fortunate that this was my first residential plumbing emergency. My home is less than 10 years old, and this type of thing was new for me...so I didn't know who to call (especially on a Sunday evening).

I texted my business partner (who purchased an older home a few years ago in my neighborhood) because I figured he may know a plumber he trusted. He immediately texted me Mark's # and told me to give him a ring. I followed his instructions and Mark from MFS Plumbing was at my door within the hour. Mark not only stopped the leak quickly, but he also made the necessary repairs on the spot (saving me from a costly second visit during normal business hours). We worked quickly, kept me updated throughout the process, and cleaned up any debris once the work was done.

I was happy to pay what seemed like a very reasonable fee considering how quickly he arrived and how professional the work was.

Mark's # is saved in my phone and I will not hesitate to contact him in the future if I have another plumbing issue, and I will be referring him to anyone I know who needs plumbing services.
