I hired Metropolitan Sewer Service to do a simple job of replacing a clogged gutter downspout p trap and adding a clean out. I foolishly paid them after receiving their invoice before looking at the work done, and later saw that the pipe coming up from the p trap was not aligned or connected to the gutter downspout which resulted in most of the rain water flowing onto the ground . I really think that the job would never have been corrected if I hadn't called and emailed Parnell over and over again asking when they were going to correct their work.
I enthusiastically recommend Metropolitan Sewer as long as Parnell is in charge!
Called Metropolitan Sewer and left a message. Was called back and set up an appointment to have my sewer unclogged. Cody showed up on time, snaked out drain, ran washer twice to confirm. Cody cleaned up area. Price was more than reasonable.
Wish my whole life ran this smoothly. Thank you very much again!
Whew, so glad that's done.
Darcy H.Nope. Keep looking. Neglectful. Poor advice.
Also the owner, Parnell, lied right to my face as we stared at the problem ""I'll call you Monday."" He left and it's been nothing but crickets since.
BTW. This was about a sewer line repair they did for me that broke apart *weeks* after the warranty passed. Tens of thousands of dollars wasted; I ended up paying full price a second time by another company to do it right.
Parnell at Metropoliton was a coward about dodging the situation by lying to my face then ghosting me. No integrity. Think about it.
Nosica H.The two guys that came out to my house were beyond professional. I don't think that kind of money can buy that level service. They were one-of-a-kind, unique, experienced, well seasoned, on point, especially when my neighbor came out harassing them and my wife because the pipe was located on the neighbor's property causing a battle to pursue. It took 2 hours for the matter to get resolved with my wife the neighbor and the police. Again, the plumber's were relaxed, stayed calm, focused, patient, and waited. When they had their chance it took them about a little over an hour to dig 3ft into the ground, cut cement, cut some old pipe out, and replace it. When the neighbor came out they could have packed their up their equipment and left to another job, but they didn't because their fucking awesome.
Jeff W.Call these guys first for any sewer needs. Knowledgeable at a more than fair price. I've been a customer for 15 years.
Niko O.On a recommendation, we called Metropolitan to come out and hopefully fix our clogged/slow draining side sewer. I called and they were able to schedule someone to come out the next morning, which was great. Our personable technician, Nick, showed up on time and provided helpful commentary as he expertly scoped our sewer. Turns out we have a lot of gravel and rocks down there - no wonder repeated snaking never worked! He recommended we have the pipe jetted - equipment unfortunately Metropolitan doesn't possess (which is why one star taken off). Nick also outlined the possible problems our 75-year-old concrete pipe might experience and recommended a plan of action, including followup with them to make sure our problem is solved. Nick spray painted the two major trouble spots he'd encountered and left us a copy of the video, which should be helpful for getting further estimates for the jetting. Although I wish Metropolitan had been able to do the entire job, I think the video is the best $200 we've spent so far on our problem.
Olivia H.Guy came out, took a bunch of photos, said he would send a quote, never heard from him again.
I had a section of my side sewer replaced in 2016 by Metropolitan for a very reasonable rate.
A year and a half later I was starting to have issues with it. I called Parnell who agreed to come out and have a look at it. After some discussion he agreed to excavate and inspect/modify the work they had done. This was done at no additional charge even though technically it was out of warranty. In my opinion, this is what professionalism is all about.
A first-class operation in my book!
Lisa S.Parnell and his crew repaired my broken sewer line. He responds quickly, has good prices and good work. Highly recommend!
We had a massive job- 3 houses that run into one line to the city. The city was forcing a repair of our lines due to a small sink hole on one of the properties. Parnell came in with a better price than two other companies. His crew was so fast- Hand dug ~8 huge holes in maybe a day and 1/2. The guys were really nice, professional, and kept me informed and able to use our plumbing most of the day and every night. In 2 weeks the entire job is done- 3 houses completely cured of 100 year old sewer lines. All runs were lined or burst from each house all the way to the city line in the middle of the street. And they just left my yard raked and tidy better than it looked before. HUGE thanks to the crew for their excellent work!
