I paid top dollar for a tech who was very unskilled. He kept trying to make small talk about things that had nothing to do with me. As the plumber and his helper completed a ""inspection"" they failied to notice they were talking infront of my cameras. I overheard them calling a ""manager to discuss what options they were going to offer me. Then the most appalling thing i have ever heard said by a service company was said. ""Remember your training on ethical persuasion"" i denied all options from them. I was a little upset so i call another plumbing company had them check out these options and if i needed them. Guess what they had just left another metro customer who had the same thing happen. None of the recommended repairs were needed. Beware of unskilled techs just trying to sell you something.

We used Metro years ago, when they were knowledgeable and honest, to replace our septic tank. They were Lori it and i felt good about their pricing. About a year later, we called about a toilet issue, the technician came out, couldn't fix it, and we were charged $172 for what turned out to be a broken seal that we had to get someone wise to fix. Since they'd provided good, honest work in the past, we used them again for septic clean outs and maintenance on heating and air services. However, the final straw was broken when every time we called, we were given the run around by a very rude (older) woman over the phone, and charged double for services when they came out. (Even though we had a service plan!) We haven't used them since. If they would get back to providing honest, quality service like they did years ago, we might give them another try, but at this point, judging by other reviews, it seems they're still operating on poor service and overblown prices.

Watch out for the bait and switch. Their technicians are trained to oversell.
I refused a $1000 estimate and got a second estimate of $150 from a company that wants my business. They get you buy making you pay to come $80 just to come out. Then they just throw you some outrageous price to see if it will stick. I suggest going elsewhere.

Received a prompt call from an online inquiry, however they are not able to give an estimate for service (pricing books are kept with technicians). We have a rather simple faucet replacement, should be roughly quotable, could have provided pictures, but not something they do. They did offer to send out a technician for an estimate for a fee of $69....to estimate changing a faucet! Crazy business model for this type of business. We just bought a new home and need all sorts of services including HVAC replacement and a couple of toilet replacements, these guys just lost out of all consideration for our business.

Can't speak to their abilities, I'm sure they're fine but no one is worth a fee to just look at faucet for 2 minutes.

We called Metro in the evening and was greeted by a really friendly Breanna We had a little bit of an emergency but it could wait until the next day. Breanna promised to call the next morning when she could consult with her
Technician. She absolutely kept her promise. The Technician came to the house at the time he promised, got the remainder of the crew scheduled that afternoon, had 4 guys working on the septic issue and was out of there with everything fixed and yard put back together. This crew was very professional, wore uniforms, worked hard and efficiently. We will absolutely use Metro again if we ever need to. Great job!!

On the estimate we were shown, we were told 3 men would be digging in our yard to get to the problem, but one man did the digging in a short time and did all the repair himself, so he canceled the need for the other 2 men. We were still charged the rate of 3 men doing the work. My husband had already spent 2 hours removing patio pavers, digging and discovering the problem before we called Metro to begin with. Still, we were charged $577 extra for 3 men, 2 of which did not come to our home. My husband spoke with Metro numerous times trying to get a refund, just for the $577 we were charged for the 2 men who were never at our home, but Metro refuses to work with us and discount this amount. All they offered was a $50 gift card toward future business with them. The man who did the work did a good job and we have no problem with his service. We only want a refund for the amount we were overcharged. If Metro makes this right, I will gladly delete this and give them a good review!

Metro Plumbing Heating & Air was great!!! Lindsey came and helped me out with what seemed like a minor plumbing issue at first, but turned out to be more complicated after the first few attempts to fix did not solve the problem. He stayed around for two hours after he was supposed to be home eating dinner with his family troubleshooting the issue until it was fixed. Great guy and great company!

As s Christian l don't like giving a negative review! So I'm just going to state the facts. This was our first time using Metro plumbing. Our problem was a loose toilet that could not be tightened down. My husband removed the toilet thinking we could solve the problem. Once the toilet was removed from the drain we realized the job was beyond our expertise. Chris came out and in less then 1 hour was able to fix the problem. The shock was we were charged $371.00 after the $35 off coupon. When l made the appointment l explained we had bought some items that could be used in the repair and was told that yes they could be used. Chris went to his truck and brought in the very items we had and said he couldn't use ours even though they were new! He said he couldn't guarantee his work if he used ours. Also, we were charged $100.00 just to set the toilet back in its place. Again, l asked could we just set the toilet back since we took it off . He again said his work could not be guaranteed if we set it back ! I guess to make us feel better he said ,""well it could have been $1,000.00 if l had to break concrete."" Hopefully we won't need a plumber anytime soon but if so ,it won't be Metro!

Want to pay 400% more for your plumbing repairs? Call Metro!
Of course the other repair plumber who only charged 25% the cost of Metro was done by a licensed, insured, and bonded plumber. I would not compare apples to oranges. Just $150 cost to $600+ Metro cost for the same repair.

I know it is hard to do when you are in a surprise failure situation, but get a second or 3rd opinion. It will save you hundreds of dollars if you're dealing with Metro. If you just want to throw money at a problem, then my experience isn't going to help you. If you want to have a reasonable repair cost, then please get another estimate (or two, or three) before confirming with Metro. We wish we had!

Got hustled. Sure they give you upfront pricing, but don't believe for a minute this technique was devised to give you, the customer, an honest deal. It is devised to garner the maximum profit for this company.

You're on the hook the minute you call. They know this and I'm learning it. Everything that happens from that point on is calculated for their benefit, not yours. How do we know this? A repair with no warranty cost over $600 dollars. After some research we found out the repair that Metro fixed only cost $150 dollars several years before. So less than an hour of actual work and $25 in parts cost over $600 with no warranty.

Yes, the total was up front. BUT with hindsight being 20/20 you realize this upfront pricing scheme is nothing but a facade for their bank account and to throw any future knowledge of how bad you got ripped off back in your face. Remember, hindsight is 20/20, not present day ignorance. It is this ignorance they are banking on!

I have an older house and I have used Metro since purchasing it 3 years ago because of several issues, they have a great home care plan that includes maintenance of your heating and air unit twice a year and a plumbing evaluation once a year. They are quick to respond and do the repairs. They have guarantees and will come and reevaluate the area if for some reason it is not correct or still having issues, which is rare but with plumbing sometimes its hard to figure out. I highly recommend them.
