Make sure you are completely aware of the issues you are having. Had them look at my water heater cause the pilot light kept going out. They Told me it was a bad gas valve.... Pilot light was not staying lit, its probably the thermocouple. They wanted to replace my water heater and charge me over $1000 when all we needed was a $13 thermocouple. Matt Loe obviously didn't do his job, and tried to gouge our eyes out with a ridiculous estimate for a new water heater. Didn't need a new water heater, just needed a new part. Be aware, these guys WILL Try to pull one over on you. Get a second opinion

We had moved into our new home. We decided to have the bibs on the outside spickets replaced, they were old one of them was very rusted and wouldn't turn. So my husband called metro and set up an appt. They were here on time and the tech who did the work was very nice. He had noticed that the main water shut off was in a bad location so he wanted to move it. We agreed. Whilst doing that he ended up damaging the water softener. He was unable to fix that day so another tech came a few days later. Noticed it was unable to be fixed and the entire softener had to be replaced. They did offer a discount for one of theirs and free install. After a couple months we had the softener installed and it is working great. The softener is a bit bigger than I expected but over all nice.

Avoid!!! They charge you $99 to come out to assess the issue big or small. Lied that there is a $25 coupon but does not apply to you if you don't get their products!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! They told me they were going to charge me $99 dollars for the service call but ended up charging me $565!!!!!

Truly the worst possible experience working with contractors. We had someone come out to give us an estimate on installing a gas line in our condo and they told us it would be over 3 weeks before they could come out. On the day they were originally scheduled to come out, my husband had taken off work to meet them here and they just didn't show up. We finally got a call midday saying they were missing a part. We understand shipping is crazy these days, but NO call beforehand until they had missed this appointment was unacceptable. When they came out a week later, the contractor who came out to do the work said that we should have been notified to have a gas meter put in and that he couldn't start work until then. Which we gladly would have done had we been told by the sales guy FOUR WEEKS AGO. When we called to ask why we weren't told to do this the sales guy attempted to evade all responsibility, the owner dodged our calls and had his unhelpful sales guy (Roy) call my husband and angrily demand why I called the owner. UNACCEPTABLE. This is your job - we're happy to pay your rates and understand delays and shipping happens. But this level of unprofessionalism was something I've never experienced before. The contractors who came to do the work were lovely but the level of disorganization and truly disgusting levels of customer care from their management team were appalling. I'm getting them pulled from our condo's preferred vendor list.

Scheduled an appointment for Metro to come to my condo unit and service my A/C and install a thermostat. Scheduling the appt went fine. The day before the appt they called me and said they couldn't service my system because it is hooked up to the underground water system in the city. (I called them because there was a service sticker on my system from Metro. They serviced my unit a year and a half ago). I called my board president and he said we are not hooked up to the city water system. I called Metro back and they said they still couldn't service my system because they don't work in downtown Minneapolis or St Paul anymore. So I don't know if they couldn't service my system because they were ignorant on how my building is set up or because they won't service customers who live downtown in both major cities. I'll be happy to use on of their competitors. If you live downtown, don't even bother.

I contacted 3 plumbers about flushing my hot water heater. 2 came back with bids, Metro asked how old was the unit, 2.5 years I said. He said unless you flushed the heater yearly it would do me no good. He also said he personally never flushes his heater because the 3/8th inch drain won't get all the sediment out anyway. I thought he was very honest with me and I'll definitely look him up for the future
