We also take pride in our home building services. For more than 20 years, we’ve built homes with Barden Homes and Avis America Homes. We enjoy crafting additions and renovations, and our clients say we do an excellent job.

The inception of Mertec dates back several years after gaining experience with my father in diverse mechanical work around Buffalo. I began helping him with in-ground swimming pools when I was just eight. I finished high school in 1964, earning a plumbing major from McKinley Vocational. After my time in the Army from 1965 to 1968, I joined the Plumbers Union. I worked on new commercial and residential service projects until I became a licensed Master Plumber. Truthfully, Mertec came to life from the need to make a living while delivering dependable service and repairs to friends, family, and a growing clientele.

In the early 1980s, I moved to the Finger Lakes area and have been in business ever since, dedicated to serving the needs of the friendly locals.
