They don't show up.
Had a face to face conversation with the owner on Tuesday, called on Wednesday for an assessment and they assured me they'd be by, as they had an installation on my street this day.
Nope. Never saw their truck on my block, never heard that they would be here or not.
Three calls later and no show, not contact back... even during working hours.
I cannot trust those who fail to show, and choose not to communicate such.
How do contractors stay in business this way?

Jason is the best!! He came to our home when our kitchen faucet needed to be replaced. After checking out Yelp for plumbers, I called Merone. I described the problem over the phone and Jason suggested that rather than coming to our home first, that we purchase a new faucet and then he would come and install it. After it was installed, it started leaking within one hour. When we called Jason again, he had to return the next day (this was during the Xmas holidays) in order to replace the lemon. He did this without charge.

Two weeks ago we had a leak and called Jason. He came the same day and repaired the pipe. Look no further if you need a reliable plumber.

My husband and I just moved to the area and we posted a need for plumbers on our Nextdoor app. Merone plumbing came highly recommended and now we know why! A SOLID team of guys, very knowledgeable, communicative and efficient. They are fairly priced and they are able to help in even tough situations. We have had them do a few projects from new plumbing in our utilities closet, to changing/upgrading our water filters, toilets, cleaning our boiler and replacing a broken thermostat. They clean up after themselves and best of all, they are easy and enjoyable to talk to. Some tradesmen speak a million miles a minute and it's not always easy to follow, these guys know how to break down and explain what is needed in a effortless way. We highly recommend giving them a call the next time you need plumbing professionals.

Our old water heater started dripping on a Sunday afternoon and we left a voicemail for Merone Plumbing, expecting to wait until the next day for a call back. We were surprised and grateful when Jason called us back immediately to say he just needed to drop off his groceries at home and would come right over. He took measurements and picked up a new water heater for us the next morning. By noon on Monday, it was installed and ready to go! Jason was extremely knowledgable and friendly. We would definitely use this company again . . . but not any time soon, we hope!

5 stars service with Mr. Merone and his two sons Jason and Joe. I bought my first house and needed someone trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional. My hot water heater broke and was leaking all over the place. They came in early in the morning and replaced the unit, cleaned up, and disposed of the old unit. They were fast and responsive within 24 hours all was well.

We all know how stressful it can be when a plumbing issue arises. My wife and I needed to replace our tub and shower valve. We were referred to Merone Plumbing by a friend of ours. I spoke to Jason over the phone and knew right away we were in good hands. He was very professional. Provided an estimate over the phone and stated they would be happy to come out. They were able to replace the tub/ shower valve in one day! Really exceeded our expectations. The guys made a conscious effort to clean up after themselves as well. Hired them on my parent's recommendation to install and hook up a washer/dryer and dishwasher in Cold Spring. Two men, two hooked up appliances, and three hours later my wife was given a blanket invoice for over 900 dollars and was told they couldn't finish hooking up the dryer. When I pressed the owner over the phone about the details behind the invoice he cited 100 dollars in ""parts"" (one rubber hose) and told me he charged us a premium because his men had to travel ""so far up from Peekskill."" He told me that ""We only came up because you're a return customer."" I guess because we were repeat clients we were charged a premium, a premium that was not mentioned when they agreed to take the work.

Needless to say that when we renovate our kitchen and master bathroom next spring we'll find a more local plumber.

They certainly do good work, but be prepared to pay a hefty mark up for it. And be sure negotiate their entire fee up front.
