I had a problem at my business with my sewer backing up. I called Merlo Plumbing and they came out with their camera and told me that I had a broken pipe under my floor in front of my paint booth. They charged me $800 to do this. They gave me an estimate of $19,000 to do the repair. I couldn't afford that so I decided to get a second estimate which came in at $4500 I hired the company. they jacked up my floor and dug down and there was no pipe anywhere in the location they had marked on the floor. So then I had to hire the new company to put their camera in the pipe and locate the true problem which was approximately 4 feet over and going the opposite direction Merlot plumbing told me it was going. So my $4500 estimate then went up to $8800. The company completed my repairs and everything is fine. I've been calling Merlo plumbing and asked him if there was any kind of credit back for a portion of the $800. They told me they would come by and look at my problem never showed up they told me they would call me back never called me back I received an email today that there will be no adjustment at all. This company is not only a rip off with extreme estimate they told me the completely wrong spot the pipe was broken . As a business owner I would never treat one of my customers the way I've been treated. Be aware.
Mark T.Back in May 2018 I called four Plumbing Co.'s for a quote to repair a water main break to our bldg. Apparently Merlo showed up, but did not let anyone know from this Co they were here. We had a 10""x6"" sink hole in our parking lot where the break in the pipe was. Merlo billed us for a camera to locate the leak. (funny). The bill also states ""Gave all info to Greg Burton for a bid."". We never received a Bid for repair. I have called Merlo 4 times and have spoken to ""Vickie"" which assured me someone will call me back. I have sent 2 emails with no reply. If I could rate this company a ""0"", I would. Very poor customer service.

Ruthie L.In the process of selling a home it was discovered I had a gas leak. I contacted Merlo Plumbing during their high volume season and expected to be put on a list. Instead, they had someone out the same day. After a few hours of work, the problem was not able to be fixed that day so they put me on their schedule for the next day also. Matt Hodges was the serviceman that did the work. I must say both the company and Matt were excellent. The person that took my call was extremely helpful and Matt's customer service skills were outstanding. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!
They can't keep an appointment! We scheduled them to come out for hot water heater issues and they scheduled us for 3 days out, giving us a window of time (1-4pm) to show up. We wait, wait, wait. I finally call and they had no record of our appointment. Good way to lose a customer!
Do not use this plumber! I called for service and gave them all my information and was told they'd have someone out in the next two business days. Two business days later I called and they didn't have any record I called. When I said it doesn't make me feel you are trustworthy so I feel I should call someone else the reply was ""ok"". They obviously do not care about quality customer service. If they can't handle even getting to my house I wouldn't trust their service.
Don't call this company after normal business hours- they don't return calls. We had a hot water heater installed by them- were pleased with that initial service- however ended up with a leak. We didn't see the leak until 7pm on a Friday. I called and left 3 messages for the tech ""on call"". No one returned my call all weekend Ended up using another company to correct the mistake they made on the installation. Called Merlo on Monday morning and they would not acknowledge any issues with the on call service and dismissed my complaint/ issue. I am extremely disappointed -and won't recommend them to anyone.
OUTSTANDING! I was selling my house and had some sewer lateral issues needing addressed. I remembered Merlo Plumbing from when I worked at a restaurant, and they provided great service. I won't bore you with details of the mess I had, but I can tell you this, Steve Merlo went above and beyond to help me, way more than I would have even expected. From start to finish, and among all the stress of selling and moving, I always had his assurance that the work would be done on time and done right.
Tricia R.If you have ANY plumbing issues, you HAVE to call this company. This company, specifically Steve Merlo, has gone above and beyond to help us. After sending out a sewer camera inspection to several companies to review for estimates, this company was the only one to take the time to explain the repairs/pipe replacement ON SITE. Their estimates were also the most reasonable provided and I've been extremely happy with their services! We had pipes replaced in both the basement and our yard, and both areas were patched up perfectly. Steve has been extremely helpful even after the job was completed as we dealt with home buyers who were being difficult in regards to our sewer lateral.
