We started our journey in June 2021, we aim to ensure excellent service for our customers.

We are passionate about the plumbing profession and serving our customers. We set out to enhance the plumbing profession. We strive to move the industry forward by adopting innovative technologies that enhance a better experience for our clients and staff. In 2004, JJ relocated from Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Florida. He joined a Canadian firm for a project for relining municipal sewer systems in Sarasota County. Soon after, the company set up a division in Florida. He was instrumental in the Florida operations and continued in that role until 2012.

After starting a family, JJ realized that a job that involved regular travel and long hours away from home was not desirable. He left the lining company and began working for a residential service plumber in Sarasota. Shortly after starting, he enrolled in and completed a four-year plumbing apprenticeship. After completing his apprenticeship, he studied for and earned his master plumber license.

He launched Merit Plumbing in 2021 with the aim of delivering outstanding and accessible customer service.
