I'm amazed with the customer service from this company! Not only is everyone nice in the office when you talk to them, but Mike is so responsive and generally a really nice guy to talk with. He explains everything in detail, and is very patient if you do not understand something. I've used them many times at my house, and also have recommended them to family members and friends. Everyone has been happy with the work that's been done. Thank you Mike and Mergenthaler for the great service over the years!

I have been using Mergenthaler for years and have always thought they were fabulous, but never wrote a review, because I never do, but now I have to because Mike went so far out of his way to help me with a very difficult problem .I can not say enough good things about him. He is really smart, talented and very conscientious about his work, and honest about costs, risks and benefits of everything he as ever done for me at my various homes and businesses

We had a problem with our sump pump failing on a very rainy day. Called them around 10:00 AM and they were able to have someone out to my house the same day. Gave me a quote over the phone of replacing my sump pump which was in line with others I had called who couldn't come out for several days. The final price matched the quote. The work done was very professional and they cleaned up everything. Talked to Mike and he couldn't have been more helpful. Would highly recommend these guys!!!

I was disappointed they charged an additional $59 service visit to come to my house again after on the first visit they could not finish the job because a part had to be ordered.
I ended up paying $301 to have a piece of a faucet replaced, almost all labor and service visit.

Follow up review. Got my disposer replaced for $289 thank you HT Strenger, originally quoted $550 by the arrogant Steve who wouldn't even let me talk with Michael. I asked if they could do the job for $450. Also the disposer quoted by Mergenthaler was a P500 .5 HP, got a P900 .75 HP. I think MERGENTHALER is ONLY in business to quote and run. Much higher profit margin. Especially with that $69.99, or maybe it was $59.99 service charge with no credit even if you have the work done. Would rather crap outdoors than have them fix my toilet!!! I have been using Mergenthaler for over 25 years. They are always very responsive and thorough. Their prices are fair and they always give me an estimate so there aren't any surprises when I see the bill. They work around my schedule, but will also respond quickly when there is an emergency. They explain exactly what they are going to do and why. I will continue to use them as long as I live in my house.

The worst plumbing company ever!!! Beware!!!

Mergenthaler did a hugh job on the outside of my home due to a major drain pipe breaking. The job was a cost of almost $10,000. and I used them because they were local and I felt a reassurance by the owner, Michael Cork, that the job would be done properly and everything put back together when they were done. After finishing the job, there was a hugh mound where they had dug up the pipe and was told by the owner Mike, that the mound would settle down after the winter and not to worry, so I didn't worry!

Spring is here and the mound is still there by my entrance through the gate. I called Mike and he told me to have my landscapers fix it and it was not his responsibility. I told him he gave me reassurance back in November about the mound settling, and now he's saying its not his responsibility.

Not a great way to do business and as far as I'm concerned he never finished the job properly. When I called Mike, I was told that landscaping was not in my contract and they are not responsible for fixing what they dug up. Just not good business and Mike is not a man of his word!

Mike and his team are awesome! They work quick and are very thorough and explain everything they are doing. We had pipes replaced by them and we are very happy with the price and the work. We will for sure be using them again.

I have been using Mergenthaler for years. So many times I have called them for what I thought was going to be a major repair, only to be told that it was a very minor issue such as a little inexpensive switch. I trust them completely, aside from being really lovely people to deal with, they are super prompt and professional. I can't recommend them highly enough, and if there were a six star rating they would so deserve that.

I completely agree with the other posters. This plumbing group is outstanding. Having just moved to the area, I picked them based on yelp reviews. I have called them twice with plumbing concerns (odors coming through vents and sump pump failure). Both times they responded quickly and diagnosed the issues over the phone. Wow! We now have them on speed dial. Thank you Mergenthaler!
