Last Saturday, I noticed a large amount of water that appeared on our foundation slab. As we have not needed a plumber since moving fairly recently to this area, I was concerned that we choose a good company to handle this emergency. I was of course also concerned about what a weekend service call would cost.

I looked at recommendations on the NextDoor App, and decided to call Mercy Plumbing. John was quite responsive and came quickly to assess the situation. It was a leak from our refrigerator. He replaced the line, and the Saturday service charge was reasonable.

After we dried out the area behind our refrigerator and got the refrigerator moved back into place, we were not getting water from the front of the door. As the refrigerator was heavier than we were able to pull out, I texted John and he came back out at no charge. It turns out that we had crimped the new line when pushing the refrigerator back into place.

I was impressed with the initial service call, as well as the great customer service shown in the follow-up. I was prepared to pay another service call. I was surprised and pleased to have him not charge, especially since it was inadvertently our fault. I will definitely be using Mercy Plumbing whenever needed in the future, and I definitely recommend the company.

Awesome guys! We had just returned from vacation, and discovered we had no hot water. John and his nephew came out promptly, quoted a price, then left to get the needed parts. Fair price, great sense of humor, and quick work. Would highly recommend.

Had an issue with main water line leaking and causing a mess!! John was able to come out same day to assess the problem, give a fair quote, and started working right away!! He even referred me to a good water restoration company to help the rebuilding process,.!! He was real easy to talk with and down to earth! My bathroom was flooding over the holiday weekend and the owner of mercy plumbing came over within 30 minutes of calling. Fixed the base of the toilet and replaced a part in an hour. Very friendly and trustworthy experience.

The part that was replaced was faulty and my toilet continued to drain (at least without flooding) and they sent someone to replace it free of charge. Overall great experience.

Same day service! Great job! When the water line to my house broke I was stuck without any water. Mercy Plumbing was the only service I called who didn't ask me to wait a few days and was able to have someone to my house in a couple hours. My water was back on within 2 hours of their arrival and the price was definitely affordable. I would definitely recommend Mercy Plumbing.

The owner is rude. Plumber charged $250 for a sink that was not fixed and would not warranty his work.

Very unprofessional yells at customer despite me being patient with him trying to explain a problem with his plumber.

Highly recommend John at Mercy Plumbing and will only use his company for any job at our house.
I called John at Mercy Plumbing to diagnose a possible leak under our foundation. He examined the water supply system, did a hydrostat leak test of our sewer system, and was able to eliminate our plumbing as the cause (the vapor barrier under the wood floor failed and was letting ground moisture through). He also tightened up a faucet and diagnosed a couple of other small issues for me while he was here for no extra charge while waiting for the hydro.
He's a Texas licensed master plumber, bonded and insured, has an excellent BBB history, and outstanding reviews across all forums. I thoroughly checked out the company and his information before hiring him (I've learned my lesson the hard way after using lessor contractors in the past!).
John is honest. Shows up on time. Tells you the price prior to doing the work. Cleans up after his work area inside and out. Explains what he's doing or what problem he's found. Charges a very fair and competitive rate (far less than many). Does not charge a standard call-out or travel fee (at least not to Energy Corridor area).
I'll never use a different plumber. John is the best I've found in Houston.

I had a plumbing leak in my attic and called John after another plumbing company never returned my calls. John fit me in by the end of the day and fixed my leak within 45 minutes. Pricing was reasonable and John was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend Mercy Plumbing and will use John for my future needs!

My husband and I have lived in our home for 30 years, and in all that time have relied on one of the Big Name Plumbing companies. This time, when our 6-year old water heater nearly leaked through a ceiling, we decided to turn to Mercy Plumbing, and it was life changing.
We called John at 7 AM (so sorry!) on a Saturday morning, and he was at our front door with a replacement water heater by 11. He had called us to let us know that simply replacing the control box would do the job, but knowing that this model's boxes were prone to failure, we opted for a new brand and new machine.
John is knowledgeable, energetic and swift. In two hours we had a faulty machine out of our home, plus a leaking exterior faucet that two different Big Name plumbers told us was impossible to repair working like new.
We will never go anywhere else, and I only regret not making the switch sooner. This is the best plumbing service in town.
