Mendel did a quick, professional and overall fantastic job in replacing my home's hot and cold water supply valves for the washing machine. I cannot imagine the work being done in a more efficient and professional way. The reason I did not give them a 5 start rating however, is the price. For 1 & 1/2 hrs of really simple plumbing work and about $30 in parts, the price was $618: that's a rate over $400/hr or nearly $$790K/year for a 40hr work week - which is completely outrageous. I'm not sure a heart surgeon makes that much. I did happen to have a coupon which clipped a bit off the cost however. I now have their HVAC team looking into some possible AC repairs I need. I have all the confidence in world they will come up with a fantastic solution - but if the plumbing cost is any real example of their pricing, I am bracing for a towering HVAC price.

The quality of work was excellent and perhaps more important the technicians were kind, patient, informative, and very knowledgeable. Had to have a sump replaced. I bought the pump and called Mendel to put it in. Everything on the service side was top notch: from phone call, to text notification, to quality workmanship. However this came at a cost. Companies can charge whatever they want, but I wasn't prepared for the equivalent of $300/hr. labor charge. The bill wasn't itemized so in fairness with travel it might have been $175/hr. on site. I didn't ask and most service companies don't quote over the phone.

I received excellent service from the time I made the appointment with Sue, until Jason was done working at my house. Jason was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me so I would know what was going on. He did great work and I trusted his recommendations. Service and customer service were definitely 5 stars! The only thing that brings it to a 4 for me is the expense. I know I received quality products and workmanship, however. And I needed the service immediately and was able to get an appointment within 1 hour of my calling. So very impressed.

I have a service contract with Mendel and the office staff and technicians are courteous, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. However, I always get a sticker shock with the bill. This year a service that used to be included in the tune ups turns out to be an extra! Adding coolant to the air conditioner was previously included but this time it was $311 even with my loyalty discount! ($250 of that was labor charges - for less than 30 mins work.) It seems a bit steep. Every quote is hundreds of dollars even for parts that cost next to nothing at Home Depot. I asked for a quote for my humidifier to be connected to my thermostat, knowing it is literally two wires - $175 - where do they get these prices? I love their work and attention to the customer but don't understand their pricing.

Mendel has done work for us for many years. I called them when our 20 year old AC stopped working. Anthony provided an estimate for a complete HVAC system. Their quote was inline with other companies but we chose Mendel because they have always stood behind their work and fixed any problem that arose. Nick and Eric did a nice job installing our system in one day. So far we are very happy with the new HVAC system which works well.

As usual, the Mendel employees delivered incredible service! Friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.... Jason was able to give us some excellent advice on our rental property. He even took the extra time to double check our water softener (that we purchased from Mendel back in February) for me at no extra charge/cost.
