Carla D.Purchased a dishwasher install through Lowes $169. Mega sends me two 20 year olds who then want to charge me another $100 for a $10 shut off valve. And laughed when I asked them to get the supervisor on the phone for me. Replace the valve, sure. Charge me labor a SECOND time? Nope, this is nothing more than taking advantage of the consumer. Shame on Mega and shame on Lowes for promoting their services.
Mega (through Lowes) installed our new dishwasher. To make a long story short, the old plumbing setup would not work for our new appliance. We discussed additional cost estimate (it was reasonable). We were the last job of the day and it was quite late by now so we assumed we would have to wait for a new install date. However, they gave us the option of doing now if we didn't mind them working late. These are some hard working young men! They were in and out of our crawl space several times and that's a nightmare in itself. They finished around 10:00, took the time to show me the basic operation of the unit and left.
We mostly communicated with Leo, but all of the crew were pleasant, polite and knowledgeable.
Mega Plumbing installed our dishwasher; their services were purchased through Lowe's. In the 12 years I've lived in the DMV, this is by far the best experience I've had with a plumber.
Pros: I was able to choose to communicate via text or phone, they were able to schedule for my preferred day, they were running early so texted to see if I wanted to keep my time or have the install early. They were very friendly. They uninstalled our old dishwasher and installed our new dishwasher very quickly. Our floors are a little wonky and they took the time to level it carefully. It was a perfect install! They had to drill a new hole to get things up to code, which they didn't charge extra for and talked to us about ahead of time. They had plans in place to protect our flooring, including carrying both dishwashers in/out. We will definitely use them again!!!
Cons: We hired them through Lowe's so we can't speak to their pricing/billing.
S B.They installed my Toliet and tried to sell off the caulk job in the video. I had them remove the caulk which took hours. The wood floor is a month old and cost me $20 a square foot installed and rhese guys were using goo gone to clean off the caulk. I now need to hire someone to complete the job
Total failure to complete the job. We ordered new cabinets and counter tops from Lowes. Mega is the subcontractor that was supposed to deliver a new dishwasher, install, and take away the old dishwasher. So, I'm dealing with two subcontractors from Lowes. The counter company requires that the dishwasher to be ""in place,"" but not connected to be able to properly measure, and install, the counter tops. The day prior to the scheduled installation, Mega contacted me with a reminder of the installation. I responded by explaining the counter top company's requirement to have the dishwasher in place, but not connected.
So, Mega shows up and, guess what? They refuse to do the partial installation, or take away the old dishwasher. They said it was their ""policy;"" however, I was never informed ahead of time and they never responded to my email telling them of the countertop company's requirements.
I'm 3000 miles away and now have to arrange for another delivery and installation. My wife had to take time off from work to be present for the delivery/installation. Now, I need to get the dishwasher delivered, find someone to o the partial installation, and have that complete before the scheduled countertop measuring. It, likely, means going an additional week, or longer, without kitchen sink, countertop, and dishwasher.
I will never do business with Mega again.
Samita J.Extremely painful to deal with. We ordered a washer and dryer through LOWES and Lowes decided they are going to work with Mega Plumbing but have zero communication with them, so it's up to the customer. Yesterday, I was on the phone with them for about 4 hours off and on. It was awful. It started with a text at 9:30AM saying they were on their way over. That changed to 1-4pm, which changed to 1:30-4:30pm, which changed to 5:30pm which is when I was over it and I made them put other customers on hold (rather than them a priority and us keep getting shifted back). But it didn't matter because they ended up showing up at 5:40pm and the guy said they dont' handle the pedestal for the washer.
Now I've been dealing with them AND lowes all day today to try to find out what is going on??? Of course, Lowes has gone ghost on me (I've already escalated my issues to Corporate). In the mean time, Mega Plumbing calls and leaves me a voice message telling me to call them back. I've been on hold for 40 minutes. Can you give me a number that actually works???
The guy who left me a message said ""there was some miscommunication between Lowe's and Mega Plumbing."" Miscommunication even though i was dealing with this all day yesterday?? Is there a reason you work with a partner that's SO HORRIBLE????
First, I was told that no one called me then I was told that oh yeah they did and they'll be back today to install the rest of the pedestal. I want to say it's not Mega's issue, but I just dont understand why they cannot get their scheduling corrected.
Mega plumbing is not a business I would recommend. Did not install my dishwasher properly and damaged it. The company would not rectify their mistake.
Mega Plumbing came to install a new microwave we bought from Lowes. Oscar and his partner were excellen. I would definitely recommend them.
The worst company EVER who is a subcontractor for Lowe's installation.
They give you a delivery and installation window of 10am - 1pm. After 1pm I called the business to obtain a time of delivery and install and they can not provide a time of delivery and install. I ask to speak to the manager and waa placed on hold for over 5 minutes for them to come back to the phone and say the manager is at lunch. The worst customer service and the WORST business to deliver or install anything. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER BUSINESS WHO CARES ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
My husband, Steve and I bought a Bosh Dishwasher from Gordonsville, Va Lowes.
Our delivery and installation was a pleasant experience with no issues.
Our installer Michael was professional, efficient and pleasant.
Thanks again Michael for great service.
