Don't waste your time! Look elsewhere for licensed qualified plumber for repairs! Contacted Medina and received an estimate for bathtub drain repair, received quote and scheduled service. After several calls plumber showed up two hours late, no phone call no explanation other than his prior job ran over. Once he did show he worked for two hours, charged $50 more than quote claiming he replaced other components then left. A day later the same leak continued Called, left messages - finally responded and agreed to return the next day after 5 to repair but again no-show and no call, no response. Stopped payment on check and then we heard back with a plethora of excuses. I'm certain the person who arrived for repair had no training and no idea what he was doing. Bottom line - if you can't show up on time and do the job then don't accept it and scam someone. Bad business practices will catch up with you!

Well it started out good, we found their number on our walk near San Jose Country Club on a tree. I contacted Alex (Owner I assume), and he gets back to me. The overflow in my tub is leaking in our upstairs condo bathroom, we told them this on the phone. All the work needs coordinated with our downstairs neighbor. He sends somebody out by the name of Eric, this guy says it is the drain. Alex texts me a price of $450. They come out on Friday 4/12/19 to fix the problem, they tell us this guys name is Jose, but on invoice he writes Manuel. When he is done he tells us and the downstairs neighbor no more leaking, and also now the price is $500. I understand a little up charge because sometimes other things need done that you can't see. On Saturday 4/13/19 I take a bath and everything seems good. I take another bath on Sunday 4/13/19 and this time let the water over fill to the overflow. Our neighbor texts and comes up and says it is leaking again. I text Alex and who we think is Jose in the afternoon and no response until the evening. Jose or whoever he is finally calls and says he is in Monterey but could come the next day to fix at 5:00 pm. We rush home on Monday 4/15/19 to be there, 5:00 comes and goes, I text owner and the guy that was supposed to come and get no response from either. Today 4/17/19 I get a call from Jose? I think. He begins to explain and I told him sorry we went with someone else and hung up the phone. About 20 minutes later I get a text if he had a death in the family and couldn't get back to us, he didn't have his head on right. Normally I am sympathetic to these situations, but the owner nor this guy call or contact us for two days after work was supposed to be done? Come on that is bad business. I know exactly the reason they called, it was not because they wanted to do the work, but because their $500 check was cancelled since the work was not done properly. I highly recommend using a different company as these guys do not respond and do not complete the job. If I could give zero stars I would, but I can't so one will have to do. One last thing I tried calling the owner to make sure his guy was going to be there the first time around and it took him forever to respond, he was in Mexico was the excuse I got. Who runs a business like this? They do not respond to customers. How are you still in business. Death in the family or in Mexico respond to your customers or you won't be in business very long. I also think the owner is allowing shady people to use his license that really do not even work for him, he just gets a portion of the profits they make. The gentleman text me and stated he had to pay for our products out of his own pocket, I'm sorry that is not my problem, my problem is getting the repair I need done correctly and professionally.

My son bought a new place and Alex came and replaced his unit. It was summer in Livermore and he had it installed in two days and came back the following day to make sure it was working well! We were so impressed with his customer service and responsiveness that we figured we'd replace ours before it failed. We had the original unit that was about 30 yrs old. He didn't try to up sell just explained his findings and recommendations and we had him replace the unit and all the ductwork. He was efficient and knowledgeable. Our unit was in quickly and he also came back to make sure it was working well. He made sure he cleaned everything up so that you never knew he was there. Definitely recommend and will use again!

Had my air conditioner go out this summer. It was hit and miss last year so I knew it would happen but got the shock when calling around for quotes. DANG these units are pricey. Finally spoke with Alex at Medina and loved his approach. He took the time to help me make sure it couldn't be fixed. Nice too see a company not just taking my money.

Once we determined I needed a new unit he worked fast. Hot Temps were on there way so Alex came over in the evening to make sure we had air for the weekend.

Great service from an honest company. Plus his prices were lower than most others. I cannot asked for anything more. Please give Medina Heating and Plumbing a call, you will be happy you did!

Alex Medina replaced my ancient heating system. He explained everything that needed to be done. Took pictures. The asbestos, the ancient heater, the ripped and rat-chewed insulated ducts lying in the dirt of the crawl space. It was a total mess. I was even embarrassed at how long I'd lived with this.
He and his partner replaced it all in two days, and while he was down there, he photographed my corroded and split open water heater exhaust pipe, far under the house. He replaced that too.
He came when he said he would. Cleaned up completely when done.
All for a very reasonable price. He is a hard working, honest guy, who knows his craft. I like to support small businesses like his rather than big companies where you don't know who will come to do the job.
I highly recommend Alex and his company.

I am the one who likes to learn everything that's going to be done for me. Even if it costs me extra. I did not want to hire a big company. So they can send me someone who's just trained to go on top of my roof, only to come down a half an hour later ringing my doorbell with a working sheet in hand for me to sign, saying 'Everything is nice and tuned-up sir'.
This leaves me with a feeling, what's next. But this time I went out of my comfort zone and called Medina Heating Plumbing and Heating. I didn't have to go up to the roof to learn. He summarizes the completed work for me, that simple. I saw the man of god in his face. I'm not religious, but I felt content. All I can say, he is nice, knowledgeable of his work, trying to make an honest living. Don't be fooled by what the big companies give you. Honest people don't give you a percentage. We all need to make a living with all the honesty, that's the truth.
