we used mark to do our bathroom remodel . We didn't pay him directly for this , our tile guy did. Ad far as I know he did a good job putting in the toilet. and shower pluming in correctly .
since we love our tile guy and trust him 1000 percent we assumed mark was a good and honest person. We
had a sink in our other bathroom that needed to be fixed. we asked mark to fix it. MISTAKE!
I would never use this guy again nor recomend him. He said he fixed our bathroom sink- it worked for less then a day. My husband called him to let him know it wasn't working , he said if the part was faulty he would charge us for coming out again. He clearly didn't care . We him $175 for ten minutes worth of work and he actually out the wrong part in our sink. I assume We laid for parts and labor!!!!
We have since has the sink fixed. he actually used the wrong part in our brand sink!!! He isn't honest and doesn't seem to care About his work.
Disappointing for sure. He will never get our referral or any of future business.

We had a supply line burst in our master bathroom and needed a plumber ASAP. We shut the water off to our house and with having a small child I was desperate to have it back on as soon as I could. I called around to everyone local and Medford's was the only one to call me back in a timely fashion (less than an hour). He came out immediately and did a temporary fix so we could turn our water back on. Thank you!!

Mark at Medford was amazing. He replaced a hot water heater in my rental. I was referred to him by my parents. He was prompt in his response time. He was able to give me a fair and accurate quote by phone & pictures. Being able to communicate through text was very helpful for me as I do not live in town. He also rearranged his schedule to help come up with a time that would work for my tenant. That was very much appreciated. He called when he was finished with the job. My tenant said everything looked & was working great.
I would definitely use Medford plumbing again & gladly refer them.

Absolutely top notch. Mark did a bunch of work at our place as part of our remodel. He's a great communicator, super flexible, and does outstanding work. I had other quotes for 4-5x what Mark ended up charging. Mark will be our go-to plumber going forward and I'd recommend him 10 times out of 10 to anyone who needs great work done at a fair price.

We called and got help on Monday since it wasn't an emergency and did excellent job replacing, welding and a decent price. Would recommend to anyone needing a plumber

We hired Medford to replace a bathtub. This involved removing the old and installing the new tub. We stated one concern was getting the new tub seated correctly, such that water would drain and not pool. Medford was also told tile installers were next up, to tile the walls surrounding the new tub.
Medford was horrible, upon his completion we walked into the bathroom and immediately noticed wall studs (2x4s) were cut out from floor to about 3 feet above the floor, left hanging from above, and he had no intention of fixing these wall studs. He was ride, yelled at us, said it was not a load bearing wall, so somehow that meant we didn't need the studs.
Tile installers were unable to tile the walls with missing studs, due to lack of support for the weight of the tile. This cost us a bunch of money to first have the wall repaired before it could be tiled. As you can imagine it set us back weeks. Dry wall had to be removed to access and replace studs from floor to ceiling, then new dry wall needed to be installed, followed by texturing and painting. These extras cost us a lot of time and money.
The tile installers had decades of experience and stated they had never seen anyone cut studs out to remove a bathtub.
It gets worse, water does not drain correctly, Medford didn't get the tub installed correctly, so water doesn't fully drain, a puddle remains after draining.
Stay away from Medford plumbing. Just not worth the aggravation.

Mark did a fantastic job replacing a toilet in my bathroom. He charged an extremely fair price, better than 4 other quotes I received, did a solid thorough job, and was extremely professional and friendly.
I have saved his contact info, will be my go to moving forward if any more plumbing needs arise.

If there were a10 star rating, I would have rated this company a perfect 10. I had first contacted a company named Delta Mechanical through the Home Depot hotline seeking an emergency replacement of a leaking water heater. I live on the second floor and the water heater was leaking into my neighbor's home. This Delta Mechanical was quick to promise same day replacement and even quicker to take my credit card information over the phone.
They were going to pick up the water heater that I chosen at Home Depot and install it same day for $1575.00. They were to contact me between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. that day. This was at 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday. As a result of their promises, I decided to forego Home Depot's free same-day delivery service to my home. The service is available only if you buy the unit before noon, hence the reason I was at Home Depot at 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday.
I next sat by phone in my home and wouldn't chance leaving my house for fear I would miss Delta Mechanical's call. They did finally call me at 12:37 p.m.. I was elated as they were ahead of schedule. Oh Boy, was I in for a surprise.
Delta called to cancel my installation that day, claiming an emergency came up. I thought mine was the emergency they were responding to. When I asked if they were coming later in the day or the next day, they said neither. They wanted to reschedule for three days later on Tuesday. This is all the while my water heater is leaking into my neighbor's home. And let's not forget, I actually work. I can't just take time off to fit their schedule.
The kicker is that they called me at 12:37 p.m.. 37 minutes AFTER Home Depot's time limit for same day delivery. I own a tiny sports car and now had no way to get a new water heater to my home. This company screwed me in several way.
By the grace of God, I found Medford's Plumbing and Drain Cleaning. The owner Mark Medford understood the predicament that the other company had put me in and came to the rescue.
The first thing he did was ran straight to Home Depot, not ask for my credit card info. He purchased the water heater himself and was at my home within an hour. He was extremely polite, personable and professional. He had the job done in less than one hour and charged me 500 bucks less than what Delta quoted.
Delta is over-priced and unprofessional. They over-promised and under delivered. I wish I had checked the BBB website and Yelp before agreeing to hire them. It is no wonder they have a two star rating and two and a half star rating respectively. It really ought to be less but they don't offer a zero star ratings there. Do yourself a favor and avoid Home Depot's service providers and hire Mark Medford instead. There's a reason he has a four star rating here. Thank you Mark!!!

When we need a plumber Mark always get the call. Honesty and professionalism are the traits I require, and Mark never disappoints.
A solid FIVE STARS.
Thanks Mark!

Despite the ONE negative review below, we have used Mark Medford for plumbing for more than a decade, and he is honest and excellent at his job. If Jessica's job was more complex than it first appeared, that's not Mark's fault. Plumbing isn't always simple. I know of at least a dozen people to whom I've referred Mark, and all have been extremely pleased with his work. Don't let that one negative review deter you. I will tell you that he did the plumbing for almost the entire neighborhood of Brookside (near Spring Valley, but technically La Mesa) when we lived there. I am going to tell my former neighbors who've used him to add YELP reviews here since obviously it's very skewed with the one negative comment.
