In the middle of filing a lawsuit against this crooked company. They upgraded our hvac from master cool to refrigerated air. It took 3 months because they contract out the cheapest labor possible. The owner Jaime and brother Alexander Zubiate is unethical and greedy, disgusting, rude, unprofessional, arrogant, and deserve this review and to loose all their business contracts, licenses, etc.
Since installation we have had the following dangerous issues
- freezing of our HVAC
- water leak
- Electrical shortages and outages (see photo, literally burned through wires)
- hastily unattractive installation of the electrical upgrade
- only half of the home has air flow
AFTER CONSULTING with several inspectors and professional electricians, these crooks failed to
- ground electricity properly up to code
- install a complete and safe electrical upgrade
- skipped a lot of steps and cut corners on many things to increase profits
- only installed a 100amp voltage electrical system for a house and hvac that at MINIMUM needs 200amps!!!!
- used PLASTIC instead of copper for many of their "electrical" work
From several inspectors " I don't know HOW El Paso Electric passed this dangerous job" ONE SAID "they either knew someone or paid them".
When we hired them for installation, their sales person forged a signature and changed our contract. Every person who has entered this home has done a half effort job on everything, and it shows as now I'm terrified my house will burn down if I don't get someone else to come and completely redo the electrical work.
Every person who has come to work on our hvac has shown up late, left early, left things undone etc. for the freezing the tech told me to unfreeze with my hair dryer and that it was normal! I also overheard one of the techs say they were paid too little to do this job, makes me think they are being exploited.... Which honestly would be the reason for the dangerously poor job they did on our home.
I highly recommend never using this company for any hvac needs or anything. They operate dangerously and unethically. This is going to be very costly and time consuming for me to fix. I am just hoping our lawyer can help us seek justice, and no one else has to go through this!
Trust me as Jaime drove up to my mom's home in a 80k vehicle meanwhile he cut so many corners and wayyyyyy overcharged for the job this horrible company did.
Do not trust! I am working on reporting everything to all the licensing agencies as I write this.

Beware this company, very unprofessional and Lowes is no better. This company is contracted by Lowes hardware, they called to schedule an appointment for a HVAC replacement quote for and no one ever bothered to show up nor call to explain or reschedule. I contacted Lowes and the manager stated someone from Mechanical Technologies will call me back for rescheduling. Yet again, NO call frome this company. My thought is, if they can't even show up for a quote what is keeping them from showing for a service call or emergency. Beware this company, very unprofessional and Lowes is no better.

I had two unique needs, purchase and install a Breezair evap and install a direct vent fireplace for my home. I first pursued the Breezair job with Don. Don was responsive, on time, and provided a good thorough estimate within a reasonable amount of time. All my questions (and I had many) were answered. Alex and his team of installers did a wonderful job. They arrived on time, kept me informed on their progress and cleaned up after themselves. I contacted the office three months later to report a fault indication on the controller panel. The office staff contacted Alex and he responded within the same day and cleared the blockage and the fault. Totally satisfied with their work and responsiveness I then contacted Don again for the next job (fireplace install). Don brought along Raul for the estimate and again I was presented with a reasonable cost estimate. Julian and his assistant Angel accomplished the install with the same professional care and detail I witnessed on the Breezair job. I highly recommend this business.

Thank you to Mechanical Technologies and Don Mellado, my project manager, for your professionalism and that of your stellar HVAC technicians, Mr. Abel and Mr. Miguel. I really appreciate the whole process of the install and the Unit is running great! We could not be more pleased with the exceptional service and value. Very respectful of my time and good coordination. The job site and coordination with the crane service at my home was excellent. All of the office staff was friendly and kind during phone conversations and were very helpful as well. Keep up the good work!

They may have offered quality service once upon a time; however, that's not reality now. They left a copper condensation line dangling on the roof (and that's the visible part of their work). I called as soon as I noticed it after they'd left and was told they'd be back the following day. It was a simple fix that should've been included in their work for the high amount they charged. To date,, no one has bothered to show up or to even phone. In my opinion, poor workmanship and business practices lands them with zero credibility.

These installers SUCK! NO SHOW on the first day and didn't have the decency to call and let me know resulting in a missed day of work for no reason. Showed up 3 hours early on the rescheduled date so luckily I was home. What should have been a 4 hour job turned into six hours so here I am waiting on them the third day. They are an hour and a half late so far today so I will have ended up missing three day of work for a four job. GO ELSEWHERE! You don't want to deal with these guys, I promise.

This is the absolute worst contractor to deal with. They will not inform customer, dont show up as scheduled, disappear for over 90 minutes to get some fittings at a nearby home depot, rip holes in your walls, take your old unit with them without notice to the homeowner, and have an employee who says she is the installation manager say she is above the owner of the company when it comes to making decisions. Do not believe a word they say. They will offer one thing and then do another. Thankfully I wont have to deal with them for warranty work since I had them take their unit out. I am sure dealing with them for warranty work is a nightmare. The one star rating had to be done in order to post review....they should be grateful to even get that.

Horrible experience with this company!! They installed a "new" unit for me and now I have major problems with it. The AC doesn't cool well and the heater takes about an hour to higher just about 2 degrees! Also heater has a gas smell that is unbearable! We have to call every other month to have someone "fix" our unit and we just purchased last year. Over-priced, dishonest, and over a huge disappointment with mechanical technologies!

I was quoted $1750 for an mini-split AC/heater install. I paid deposit of $875, the day of the install 1 hour prior to appointment time same estimator called me and said he made a mistake and was gonna cost additional $850. Lowe's had connected me with these guys I have a signed contract for work to be performed and the cost. Do not use their service, because they provide none.

Dishonest. Price gauge. Poor business ethics. Isn't an estimate or quote supposed to be deducted from the service performed? I asked for a receipt. And they don't do such a thing. The only reason I contacted them was because they were the ones that originally installed the hvac unit in my Desert View home. Use Tier 3 low quality parts and charge Tier 1 Pentagon contract prices. 6 weeks later I need a new capacitor. Didn't even last w months.
