I was searching on Yelp for a plumber and unexpectedly received several service offers. One company stood out -- not because of strong reviews (they had none, which should have been the first red flag) -- but because they responded quickly. I selected them for plumbing work involving pipes inside my wall.

A technician named ""Ron"" came out on Thursday, arriving an hour earlier than scheduled. He informed me that the drywall would need to be removed to access the pipes and returned on Friday to inspect further. He then wrote up an estimate, requested a $300 deposit, and scheduled the repair for Monday at 9 AM. We had initially discussed Tuesday, but I told him that wouldn't work due to a medical appointment.

On Monday morning, Ron was a no-show. I called the office twice. First, ""Nate"" told me Ron was on his way, but he never arrived. On my second call, Nate said, ""Ron told me he just called you. He didn't call you?"" -- which he hadn't. A few minutes later, Ron finally called and insisted the appointment was for Tuesday. I reminded him that I had checked my calendar during our discussion and confirmed Monday at 9 AM. He told me to look at the invoice (second red flag), which said ""Tuesday 8&9"" -- a time and date I never agreed to. I suggested perhaps he wrote that in after I had signed it.

Not wanting to argue, I said we should agree to disagree. Nate later called back offering to ""try to get someone out"" that day. I declined, said it was no longer convenient, and canceled the appointment. I told him I'd seek help from another company. He then informed me I'd be charged a service fee for Ron's visit -- a fee I was never informed of in advance. I expressed that I was not responsible for such a fee, as I had hired them to do the work, not waste my time. He then threatened me with legal action (third red flag). Fortunately, I paid with a credit card and am prepared to dispute the charge.

Bottom line: I do not recommend this company. I regret ignoring the early red flags. If you still decide to work with them, pay with a credit card -- and document everything.

Angel came out to my home and fixed mine and my husbands drain problem. Only took about 30 minutes to snake and figure out what was wrong with my drain in my bathroom. I recommend 100%. I will always choose this company whenever i need help with any plumbing related problems.

This company was recommended to me. I spoke with the master plumber Nate on the phone he tried to help me resolve my issue over the phone , I didn't see the value. I needed a spigot turned off for my outside faucet. Nate said he could come out today. He showed up in the time frame he gave me, and he was nice, kind and polite all around great customer service . He resolved my issue in less than 5 minutes. He gave me a great price. Meca Drains &plumbing has my business I'm going to recommend this company to family and friends. Great job!!!
