Biggest wrip off artist in East Texas. Laid 70 feet of pvc from a sink to sewer pipe. Less than 1 days work. Charged over $4000 they were going $700 to unclog a drain line which couldn't get done. They'll never get another dime from me.

After the second time an approx 2 "pvc elbow burst due to the inability of their pipe grade to handle the pressure of water being left on but shut off from flowing on outside spigot (all I had needed was a new handle) I had to go out at 1am to shut off main water valve. (On a personal water well and neighbors not home for the weekend.) Due to age and spinal stenosis I had to get down on my knees to reach into hole where control handle is located rather than bending over to accomplish this. Fell getting up, cut a large gash in right knee, broke right wrist and was knocked out after hitting head. I finally regained consciousness and was laying flat of my back, knew I had broke my wrist and felt the blood running off my leg. In my haste to shut off the geyser shooting from the spigot (McWlilliams pipe connection) I neglected for the first time leaving my cell phone behind! I knew I had to get myself to my house for it could be days before someone come to check on me. Managed to turn onto left side, push myself onto knees (gash and all) crawled through broken glass, wires, metal piping, etc for this area is where we pile things for the junkyard. Got inside, cleaned myself, doctored cut and bandaged - with one hand! Called neighbors but no one answers at 2-3 am. Finally called sister in Kountze who was able to make contact with a cousin who immediately came and turned water off. He returned the next day and put secure handle on piping and advised to never use McWlliams, call him if I have a problem. Fortunately he and a brother are close neighbors and help everyone in the neighborhood, especially we single old women - me 75! All I asked for was a new handle
Tonight I decided to turn up the water flow on my new washing machine. The installers told me they heard water dripping in the wall. Well this same plumber was here on another matter and I asked him to check it. He put his litt camera down inside the wall and showed me no water. Months later i decided this machine should not be taking so long to fill and I reached over to turn up the pressure. The cold water WAS NOT EVEN TURNED ON!! When I turned it on the connection was leaking water around the handle. Did this plumber even realize the water wasn't even on or did he turn off not wanting to have to pull out the machine, etc to replace parts?
I use to see McWlliams and Sons Plumbers vehicles everywhere in town, in the rural areas, now I mostly see one parked at an employees home or at their office and I don't wonder why.
Sure miss The Plumber. Every time you find an excellent tradesman they are bought out by such as McWilliams &Sons - who won't give you prices for work until work done. Should go to small claims for my medical bills but don't want to think about them - and wouldn't have if I hadn't tonight found the cold water shut off to my washing machine !
So NO I do not recommend McWillians & Sons.

2-23-23 UPDATE BELOW:

I called with a specific problem, outdoor hose spigot leaking. I was told it is an $80 flat fee, no hourly costs, plus parts. I said I figured I needed a new spigot since it's 20+ years old, so please put one on the truck. She said they always have them with them. The lady never said any more about additional costs. She should have told me. When the tech got here, he quoted me an additional $562 would be needed to replace the spigot (hose bib). And in the description it says

"replace commercial or frost proof hose bib by removing entire hose bib and installing new one. If the hose bib is a sweat on hose bib and too close to the brick wall add water line difficulty to this price as many times as it takes to cover the extra work needed to access a clean pipe to install new hose bib on."

They sent me a text asking my feedback, so I called and was told that it isn't an hourly cost, just a regular cost to anyone to replace. Why didn't she tell me that on the phone before I had to pay a mandatory $80 to hear it in person? Plus, this is not a commercial fix, it is my home!! AND, the description says if it's more trouble than they expect, they will charge me more!! OMG!

I feel like I was deceived. If they had told me there was a standard charge for replacing the spigot, I wouldn't have even had them come out. I will never ever use these people again and will advise my friends as well.

2-23-23 UPDATE:

I hired a handyman who replaced the washer in the spigot's stem that goes in the wall. A $2 part. He did it in less than 30 minutes, including "chat time". I happily paid him $50 which was more than he was asking for the job.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Read all the reviews before choosing and shop around.

My husband and I are quite satisfied with the work they put in fixing an outside water leak. It's the best work effort we've experienced from anyone in this field. Thank You very much McWilliams & Son Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing for work well done.

I was out of town and informed of a leak in my backyard. I called The Plumer, which is now Mc William and son. They came out, called me and said the leak was under the air conditioning slab and they needed to replace the pipe from the main line, under the slab to the house. Rather than cut the slab they were gonna dig under it. The bid was $6670.
When I returned home, I called another plumber. The leak was running parallel to the air-conditioning slab. A root had grown around the pipe. The pressure from the root had caused the pipe to crack. It took them about an hour and a half to replace the pipe. The total cost was about $450. I will never call Mc Williams and Son again. Beware! Make sure you get more than one bid.

Yes they fixed my leak I felt that the tech used poor judgment in fixing the issue and was wasteful in time to fix it. They respond quickly but left my job to go to another. They could have fixed mine in an hour but choose to leave a worker who found the leak before the Tech left . So They bill me for $800 because they wasted so much time. I told worker I wanted a valve added but he did not communicate that to the tech so when tech shows up to do 30 min repair he does not have tje valve and has to go to town to get it and return costing me $200 / hr because of poor communications

I had "The Plumber" install a water line from my kitchen sink to the back of my refrigerator. He left a gaping hole in my wall. Then, he wanted me to have the wall repaired. Sorry, but I was really upset with his work.

This man has now gone into construction as well. The right thing to do was make our job right, but he chooses to think of the money.......not the service or the job being done right Marlo B. I bet you know them Dear

So I have used them 4 times. Very courteous and on time. Able to diagnose the problem quickly and not overcharge. They have installed a toilet, fixed a broken pipe, set up run-off for new AC unit and unclogged a sink. I have no issues. For the sink, they came that day (the water was overflowing).
