We have lived in Thousand Oaks area for many years, and have used McPherson Plumbing for many years, and we have always had excellent service from them. The lady, Erin, answering the phone was always polite, and informative as to Scot's schedule and also gave good estimates as to when Scot would show up, as well as if there was any delay.
Scot is a friendly, cheerful person, very professional and knowledgeable. This particular time, we had a leak somewhere in the upstairs Master bathroom shower, which dripped down into the garage. Anticipating that he would need to see behind the drywall, I did tear out the part of the drywall ceiling that I figured he would need removed.
Scot came at the time as Erin had called to tell me, did some 'elimination' possibilities quickly, and went to work in the garage, removing the parts of the pipe that had the leak, quickly put on new pipe section, tested it and problem was resolved.
All in all, it took less than an hour, I was charged a fair price for parts and labor.
Because of McPherson's reputation, the only drawback is scheduling and I was happy that I did not need them immediately.

I had an amazing experience working with McPherson plumbing! I am a new homeowner and don't know anything about plumbing. I had some immediate issues upon moving in and called some larger companies to come out that charged a lot and mentioned many other issues that will need fixing down the road. I am so glad I was referred to McPherson - from the first phone call they were so kind and helpful. Scott looked at all of the problems I had mentioned I had been dealing with and gave me a straight answer about my situation. Can't say enough good things about my experience. I had one of the regular rooter companies out and when they were done they quoted me 1800.00 to tear old my old plumbing. Scott assessed the problem and installed a new clean out. Rootered the system with the proper machine and I'm back to nice flowing plumbing.

Super service and outstanding prices. I highly recommend him and you won't find a more honest and hard working plumber.

I'm not sure if the lady on the phone has changed or people caught her on a bad day... but my experience was very different. The lady on the phone was incredibly helpful and very nice to talk to. Also, Scott was a welcome change from other plumbers I've dealt with in Oak Park (Conejo Valley). He arrived right on time, made the repairs quickly, gave me the names of some places I could purchase cheap handles (I had an issue with my shower) if I wanted new ones and charged me a very reasonable rate. I highly recommend his services.

Well through my experience the lady I came in contact with had quite the attitude...so I agree.
The plumber came to our home and was very disrespectful. He made a few rude comments about what he found in our drain. I could not believe the way he blamed me.
Being new to the property it wasn't our fault. We don't know what the previous people did.
Needless to say, we will never be using him again.
I say, use your own judgement!!!
