Assume that any plumber can do the work.  But getting them to return a call and show up has been a challenge.  McLoughlin, they answer the phone, commit to a time and show up when they say.  They were running late so called to explain (no complaint here about that....if a plumber was at my house and ran into  something unexpected I would be upset if they left mid job to be on time for their next appointment.  Wouldn't you?) As I expected the job was simple which the guy (Bob) could have done blindfolded - nothing unexpected, so all was good.
The differentiator here was that their plan seems to be based on the idea that the person they send represents the Company.  Bob, was a good guy and very did a good job of explaining the repair (replacing a pressure reducing valve), what the valve did, expected life of the valve, and the effect of the bad valve on my homes plumbing.  Plus all of the standard stuff like warranty and so one.  He also reviewed pricing before the job for my approval.  Post job he summarized what he did, showed me the job and inspected everything with me before I signed off.  Good plan and excellent job by Bob.  Good example of hiring the right people and the idea that the person you send does more than just complete a task.  They represent you and how they do that makes , or breaks, your business.  Again, good job and thanks.

If you want a heating and cooling company to go the extra mile for you then McLoughlin is the company for you! Our air-conditioning broke down yesterday in 90° heat and we were desperate to find someone who could fix it right away. Rob McLoughlin assured us that he could solve the problem but he didn't even start the project until 3 PM and finally left at 7:30 PM after spending half the time outside in the rain putting in a new system. Not only was he here yesterday until 7:30 PM but he also tried to band-aid the situation on Labor Day in hopes that we wouldn't have to buy a new system until next spring. It is a family business who takes pride in keeping their customers happy at all cost. Rob proved that very much with his prompt and wonderful service!

We just had a gas leak (existing old lines) and of course called McLoughlin. They came out on a Sunday and confirmed the leak. The next day they sent two plumbers who located two small leaks (had to put compressed air through the lines in order to find them). Once found they replaced the leaking lines and our house is once again safe!

Our air conditioner broke during a heat spell. McLoughlin came immediately. They worked 12 hours in the heat to get us air. The nicest workers you will ever have in your home. I felt like they were family.

Called to have someone come out and look at my AC unit. Spoke with Janice who told me they could have someone out that day after 1. I left early from work to make sure I was home on time. Got a phone call at 2:30 from Janice telling me they couldn't get anyone out and that they could come the next day. Her reasoning was that she never said they were definitely coming that day but that they ""might be able to come after 1"". Who runs a business scheduling appointments on we ""might"" be there? Complete waste of time. If you decided to use this company I suggest being very clear with Janice on the time and your expectations.

They came out for a routine maintenance check and I was very impressed with my technician's timeliness, cleanliness, and professionalism. He fully explained what he was doing and always checked with me before performing any additional procedures. At the end, my invoice clearly documented what was done and the price for each service.

I understand why this company has been in business for 50 years. My 15 yr gas furnace decided to quit on the coldest day of the year. I asked my neighbor who he used and he referred me to McLoughlin. I called and they were very professional and efficient from the start. Fortunately for me, they were able to come out later that same day. The Technician was very courteous, and helpful. He explained the problem, and provided up front pricing on what it was going to cost to repair. I decided to go ahead with the repair, and I'm happy I did. I had heat before dinner time, and you couldn't even tell I had a technician in my home. Not even a single foot print was left. Thank you for such great service, and the respect you showed my home. Well, I just experienced a real wow from McLoughlin PHC. They are on time, extremely pleasant and helpful answering my questions, did the job they said they would do and were extremely efficient about it.
