I needed help with a leaky faucet that I attempted to fix on my own, but ran into a snag when I broke the cartridge in the pipe. I called a couple of plumbers but Bill was the only one available right away. He luckily had the tool I needed to remove the stuck cartridge. His price was way more reasonable than other options.

Bill can be a bit irritating but he does good work for a reasonable price, is scrupulously honest, and is available on short notice, a rare combination in any home repair person.

I would certainly use him again.

I had an annoying kitchen faucet leak for a few days that turned into a constant stream over the holidays. Yips, there went my good water saver status with EBMUD. After calling a couple of plumbers that had a message machine, Bill was not only the first to pick up but was able to come over within the hour. He was fast and thorough, and immediately started taking things apart to get to the problem...and fixed the problem he did. Happily he didn't leave behind anything for me to clean up, either. The sticker price did hurt, but he was right when he stated he was less than most plumbers. He took less than an hour and I would've liked it if he didn't charge the full hourly rate, or maybe looked at something else I'd mentioned, to get the full hour's worth. But hey, not being plumbing savvy-overall it was worth it to have a good job done quickly. I'd like to add, he was patient in explaining what he was doing, to gain a little more knowledge over basic faucet, hidden turn off knobs etc.

After noticing our carpet was very wet, I discovered our two ancient water heaters were leaking. I called Bill first thing in the morning, and he came out right away. He quickly diagnosed the problem (actually, only one of the water heaters was leaking), and discussed options for replacement. He was pleasant, hard working, and honest about pricing. By the early afternoon, Bill had removed the bad water heater, and hooked up a solution salvaging the still functional water heater so we could further consider our replacement options. I would happily use Bill's services again. Thanks!
