I paid $570 to have a 1000 gallon septic tank pumped. Included in that price was a $150 charge for digging up the lids. The kids were dug up on Tuesday by a knowledgeable and nice guy. On Wednesday, Dwayne arrived to pump. He pumped for about 20-40 minutes, and then shut my lids. It did not look like he tested the flow rate of the leech line. I did not get to see if he fully emptied the tank. Although my lids were mortared closed, he refused to remortar them. In addition, he left without covering the 3' deep holes. I had to call and complain, and then Dwayne returned and only partially filled the holes. I still have 1' deep holes and piles of dirt that someone could trip on.

I've never had a home with a septic system and McKenna was my ideal service company. They drained my septic tank and added (for a fee) ""risers"" to the 2 lids so that opening them for the next service would be simple. The office staff (Laura and Felicia) were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me understand all that would be involved and kept me informed of my service status. It was easy to schedule and they were on time. Their price was fair and competitive.

I called them in the morning to have our septic tank pumped and they had Manny come soon after. Manny was quick, responsive and efficient in getting his truck backed up and the tanks pumped out. I would highly recommend!

Don't use McKenna. 2 years ago we hired McKenna to inspect the septic system for the house we were purchasing. They said it was fine. Flash forward 2 years and we're selling our house. Our buyers happened to pick McKenna to inspect our septic system again. They said it wasn't up to code since it didn't have risers. This new code was implemented years before we hired them. When my husband pointed this out, they just shrugged. If they had cited this when we hired them, the people we bought the house from would have had to pay. Instead, we now had to pay $600 for the risers. An honorable company would have made this right, since their inspector botched the job - at least, they could have split the cost with us. They didn't even apologize.

I am really impressed with this company. The owner, Bob, came out to find our septic tank location. He showed up on time, and found the tank immediately. The next day, a second employee, Dave, came out to pump the tank. He showed up 5 minutes early. Dave was extremely efficient and courteous. Both Dave and Bob did not seem to mind my questions and were both extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this company, and will be using them in the future!
